I want to create a roleplay based around a so called 'Great Family' after rereading the ASOIAF novels. The house would be one of the oldest in the realm, while not wealthy but being exceedingly cleaver and strong in terms of arms of men. Invited to court by the new king as the new king wanted to wed one of the families daughters and have the patriarch serve as his hand and adviser. Things would be moved thru treachery, intrigue, assassination and plots. Later on it would be through war. Options for characters would children of my character the patriarch, other noble members and retainers. More information would come out if interest gathers. I

So I've done a RP kind of like this. This was one of my characters.

A lot of it circles around revenge since a good chunk of the family itself was killed in a so called 'accident.' Leaving the oldest branch as the late king tried to snuff out their family by acts of murder, treason or other various plots. Leaving the most cunning of them alive since they couldn't out wit the leading patriarch. And now with a new king sitting throne, one the world sees as less a villain and more of a savior. Correcting the mistakes of his father by placing this patriarch as his closest adviser, who tries to court one of the family to mend relations. Though this family is plotting to take over and destroy the king, creating a new dynasty in its stead.
