Hello, hello.
This is my first interest check thread since this site went up ~2 years ago. I've been part of the Guild since 2011, so I'm not exactly a new face. I've been writing for years (I've got a degree to prove it), and I'm looking for someone to do a little adventuring with.
What I'm looking for:
- Firstly, I don't care if you're a guy or a gal. I don't care if you write as a guy or a gal, either. As long as you do your best, communicate well, and express your ideas, I'll probably be happy.
- Someone who can write one or more posts a week. I work 40+ hours a week, so I get the busy schedule thing. Things happen, and I'm willing to be patient, but I'm hoping for at least one post a week.
- Someone with imagination, drive, good spelling/grammar (I didn't say 'excellent' because I don't want someone to be butthurt over a missed Oxford comma -_-), and the ability to co-create and direct a story.
What I'm NOT looking for:
- I'm not looking for a smut-fest. If romance pops up, fine, but I don't depend on that to perpetuate a story.
- I'm not looking for someone who will write a fucking novel to express something they could have expressed in one paragraph. If your character scratches their nose, they scratch their nose-- they don't have a philosophical revelation about the synapses of the brain that causes the muscle movement. Quality over quantity, blah, blah, blah.
Ok, you've made it this far. Congratulations! Here's what I'm interested in, in terms of content:
- Gritty, modern, fantasy. I like supernatural meets human types of situations. I'm not looking to write the next Twilight-- my vampires aren't interested in going to prom. I'm interested in tense situations, survivalism, suspense, blood, and adventure.
I'm not going to write a script and ask you to follow it. Let's come up with interesting characters, create some tension, and let the wind take us.
If you're interested, go ahead and send me a PM (you can reply to this thread but I'd prefer a PM so we can discuss) stating your interest, and tell me a bit about yourself. I like to know the mind behind the character.
Thanks for reading~
