The low-class settlement of the holy nation, Glenare, is a place of small-time mercantile and hardworking people. Due to the poor climate and infertile ground of the nation, trading of goods is mandatory for the everyday man or woman to survive. While there are a small number of crops that are able to be grown here, most are traded around to gain a profit and buy more mandatory necessities. Despite the rough lifestyle, even those of Glenare are strong in faith towards their god and often praise traveling priests and soldiers who pass their humble abode.

Personally, I don't think a standard length matters. I've written stuff as short as one paragraph in the same RP where I wrote something like two pages long.

What matters most is you accomplish what you're trying to do. I don't need a 1000 word essay on how your character answered 1 question and moved a cup but at the same time I don't want a single paragraph in which your character settles an epic duel, saves the princess and promotes a democracy based government to a previously community country.

Just write what feels right

What if it feels right to write one sentence? Because you want to pull off a quick, snarky one-liner of speech? Does that give you immunity from Ande-rage?

What's the fun in one-liners if you can make an entire speech before the other person even has time to respond? Because RP time magics.

Because speeches are for the weak. My character will just /ignore after the first paragraph.
