The project was finished, Reed's project. Reed believed there was a dimension called the Negative Zone, so he deecided to test this theory with friends. These friends were Johnny Storm, Susan Storm, Ben Grimm, and Multi-Billionare Victor Von Doom. The project is simple, Reed wanted to make a portal to the "N-Zone". Reed did not have the money for project, so he made a deal with Victor Von Doom. Doom supplied Reed, Reed got more money for Doom. Susan Storm joined the mission because, well she liked Reed and his ideas and wanted to be apart of it. Johnny joined because he wanted to see it for himself. Ben joined because Reed was his best friend. Reed finally finished his project, and it is ready for action. Reed thought to himself, what is behind that portal?
