If I may... have you tried PMing them already? Like I've said, I think it really is a busy time of year for a lot of people with school, work, family, holidays, etc., and I've noticed in most of the RPs I'm in that posting has slowed, and not for a lack of interest as far as I am aware. Just everyone getting busy, including the GMs.

Sorry, I know it's frustrating when people don't post for a long while, but I also know that things can get extremely hectic in the real world and prevent people from getting on for a while or writing up longer posts. Sometimes, too, I know that I, at least, forget to PM/post about any extended absences, especially when something sudden pops up. If the characters of busy players get killed off every time they don't get a few days to post, then sooner or later there will likely be no more players/characters. I don't know if you've already tried contacting them, or what situation you might be in with the remaining players, but, for the sake of example, by cutting down those who have not posted since your long post--but might still be interested, just busy--you would be down to only two other players.

I just don't want to wait for longer then a week or so because I have always found that everyone else loses interest with having to wait. I've seen this with every RP i've been in. I am still giving them time.

I know you're giving them time. And you stated a warning.

And yeah, I understand that and wanting to make it fast paced, but in the end in this case, there wouldn't really be anyone left to lose interest. I don't know about Eklispe, but I would be okay (if you are, of course) with waiting longer than a week to find out if the others still want to do this, but need a bit more time, or want to drop out.

If anything, what about like sidelining the characters in question instead, having them drag along until either the players have time, drop out, or just don't respond for FOREVER? Or, maybe take advantage of the lull and have our three currently active characters interact. There hasn't really been much of that yet besides a quick sentence here and there.

Hope I'm not coming off as being rude or anything! I'm not trying to be. Just sharing my thoughts and opinions. :-)

I'm good with waiting however long we need to. Lordy knows I've clung to RPs for longer than this. *looks at 3 month dead RP lingering in subs* yeah....

*High-five.* I know that feeling. Though the oldest for me hasn't quite reached three months yet. Out of curiosity, since our characters are the same age--Esmay's a year behind in school because of when she turned 18--want to say that our characters know each other from school? Maybe they met during track on their... sophomore/junior year or something?

Oh, good. :-) Glad you like the idea of just dragging them along!
Also, do you have any ideas or preference for how Esmay and Sydney know each other? If you don't, what about having them grow up in the same neighborhood?

Sorry I've been away, I've had essays for school piling on alongside work and such and such... I did spend half an hour writing something up yesterday but my (trash) laptop overheated and crashed. I should have something up Tuesday as I don't think I'll be working then.

As for how Sydney and Esmay met, I like the same neighbourhood, maybe met in elementary school and became very close friends?

Aww, man! That SUCKS about your laptop! I totally understand about juggling work and school. Fun stuff.
So, if no one minds my asking, high school or college for you and Iceprincess (can I call you Ice outside of mentions/quotes? I feel lazy. Heh).
Okay, going to involve you in the "How we met" thing. XD Which also involves Ice. Since your and Ice's characters are the same age, what about saying mine met yours through Ice's somewhere along the line in whatever year of school? What are your guys' thoughts?

P.S. I'll try to get an IC post up soon. Been running on little sleep the last few nights. Also, as a warning, my Octobers tend to get a little extra busy. Hopefully it won't stop me from posting, but I thought I should give you all a heads-up just in case.

I'm assuming that that's by the UK system? *Looks up grades to age.* So, when Esmay was 11 years old, then? If @OoTrillionoO is good with that, too, so am I!

This would be by US/Canada system. but yes we would have been 11 haha

Oh! Sorry, I'm used to reading "university" used like that in UK settings. My brain spewed out the assumption to my fingers without thinking it through, and they obliged. I'm going to go hide in a corner now.

So, to summarize:

Sydney and Alex knew each other first at sometime whenever.(@IceprincessforlifeWanna be cheesy and do something like child-hood friendship?)

Grade 1-5, Sydney met Esmay.

Grade 6, Alex met Esmay through Sydney.

Grade 10/11, Esmay met Strauss through sports.

And everyone else is unimportant, their memories forgotten with their deaths.
