@Raijinslayer I'd have to disagree but then again my family's pretty strange in many aspects. ^ ^"

@LoonyYeah, as I was righting it U couldn't help but feel it was just stereotyping the role a bit, but I'm not good at talking about family stuff. Also, don't be in to much if a rush to post if you aren't feling well, okay?

@Raijinslayer For me, I guess my dad is the stereotypical mother type. He's the sweet emotional softie of the family who'll do anything for his kids and always goes the extra mile for them, and you feel terrible asking him for anything because it almost feels like you're using him because he's so sweet. He always tries to lighten a situation but I'd say he's not one to go for with help or guidance because he's not too good with tackling these things and is the type that tries to bring light to, work against, or ignore a situation rather than find a solution for one; I'd say my sister is the steady one in that aspect who you'd go to for advice, or maybe my mothe-actually nah, my sister. I honestly think the only stereotypical fatherly trait my dad has is that he's a huge goof (though his dad jokes aren't like most I've seen) and that he's the main worker of the family, though that's only because my mother can't work due to health complications.

And don't worry, I feel bad since it's been so long and poor Pyro's been waiting forever. I'll get one up today. Not sure when, but I will.

@HaltingBlooper Oh, and since you asked me and I didn't respond to you earlier, I dunno. For me it's kind of like having a slightly dorky older brother who takes me to good restaurants and hangs out with me sometimes.

@Loony Pretty well, thanks for asking! Chemistry is the only class I'm still sort of having trouble in and I'm working on getting help with that. The rest of my classes are pretty easy and fun, my work can still pile up sometimes but for the most part I'm enjoying myself. How is school going for you?

@21308 Funnily enough, I'm also struggling with chem, but otherwise, ye. Math has been great for once because my teacher teaches very well and I got a B on a test I didn't even study for, and after a year of losing sleep over studying in hopes of simply passing a test, I'm very happy. ^ ^"

@HaltingBlooper

I didn't have a dad most of my life and he now lives very far away from me so I don't know how valid this answer will be. In my mind I have many dads. Some that were not even married to my mom but good friends because I knew that they would be there for me. That I could talk to them or have their support. They make you stronger and help you keep your head held high.

This isn't to say moms are not the same way. My mom gave me more than enough love and support for both. It is hard to describe what it is like to have a father and not really an exact science. I know why you asked the question. I have asked others before in the past but it was always one that I never could really get a true answer because all dads are different just like all people

@HaltingBlooper

No, it's not weird. My mom was both my mother and father figure for a long time and even now is still kind of the same way.

I didn't meet my dad till I was 9. He stayed around for a few months and was gone again just like before and then I hit 13 and that is when he was more in my life (via phone and Internet)

@Loony That's really good to hear! I love that feeling of getting decent grades on stuff with little or minimal studying, but sadly that's pretty much unseen in college. Maybe you and me could form some chem study support group, assuming you aren't already better than me at it.

@21308 I bet you're better at it than me. XD But yeah, a chem group would be nice.

Lol XD I am not going to answer because the thought that popped in my head sounded so very wrong!

When I said good friends I meant my mother's friends not mine XD

@21308 Balancing reactions as in equations? Yes. Molecular mass? Nope.
The equations are relatively simple to I suppose, we are only in grade 11 and all ; V ;

@Loony B-but I'm too young to be a parent! And if we're being honest I'm like 90% sure 'dad' would be the wrong word

Yeah, balancing reactions is puzzle-like but isn't too hard. I actually find it pretty fun but I have to do the problems like 5 times before I get them right. ...Be glad you aren't calculating molar mass yet.
