PLANET KIRANU - A rocky mountainous world used for mineral mining, recently converted into a racing complex for Purgatory.
The landscape was crisp and priceless, solid stone and mountain rock elevated into the black sky, reaching out into the yonder of space on a trip of eternity. Everything was silent, everything was calming... Everything wa-
The ground began to shudder violently as a distant thunder approached, was this an earthquake? It became louder and louder with each passing millisecond, the track began to vibrate to the rhythmic beat of the approaching vehicles, the sound was beautiful yet destructive as if strong enough to slice the mountains in two.
GHZZZZZZZZVRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmm
"LOOK AT THAT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! THE PHOENIX AND THE TERRIFYING VALKYR ARE NECK AND NECK! THE QUEENS OF ARMAGEDDON ARE GIVING US ONE HELL OF A SHOW TONIGHT!" Screamed the announcer as the two clash side by side down the track with several other racers following behind.
Katya at this point was gritting her teeth together, she was nervous, although she didn't want to truly admit it. Her eyes glanced over at Natalya's craft through her helmet, she was getting tired of this shit, this was her win, and she wanted it bad.
"Mack! Give me my engine diagnostics!" She screamed at her teams technician over coms.
"Kat, Oi, Kat! Take it easy, you can get in-front of her by closing the cooling flaps on the engine shafts but it will overheat your engines!" Replied Mack in passive tone.
"I don't give a fuck! I'm doing it..." Kat says as she retracted the flaps, causing less aerodynamic drag and easing her out in front.
"HOLY MOLLY FOLKS! THE PHOENIX APPEARS TO BE RISKING HER ENGINES TO GET IN FRONT!" Screamed the announcer.
"How you like this Bitch?! Hah!" Kat would scream over at Natalya, laughing over the coms.
At this point Kat would be gaining a slow lead, yet leaving the rear of her craft completely open to attack, although the shields would take some beating before giving up it was a risky and rather ballsy move. One thing was for certain though, the fans were loving it.
