I'm sorry but I'm pretty sure at this point in time the gates of Moria are sealed.

@Maxwell57 They could at least try to open the gates of Moria to no avail. Maybe the gates are open since Frodo and his fellowship have already passed through it? (I can't remember if the gates closed behind them or not.)

For your information, the writing above the gate says "The Gates of Durin, Lord of Moria. Speak Friend and enter." Frodo then says "It's a riddle. What's the Elvish word for friend?" Gandalf responds by saying "Mellon." The doors open, and they enter with caution. There are a couple plausible ways the group could enter, be it by mistake or deliberately.

@Andromedai After Frodo and company pass through, doesn't the Watcher in the Water destroy the gate behind them?

Yes it does. The way to Moria, at least through that road, is shut.

@Maxwell57

-Rewrites the lore softly.-

In all honesty it would be completely possible though. We see elven weapons being wielded by a variety of different personages with little to no difficulty. Even hobbits don't have a problem working with elven armor and armaments.

:/

Besides, you only see really ridiculous stuff out of the elves in the first age and a little in the second. By the third age you don't have elves fighting literal gods and fifteen mile long dragons anymore, there's definitely a deflation in power.

Sorry once again I am a nazi I don't really care but lore wise a bow requires a certain draw weight now elves are stonger and faster than man so it would just make sense that their draw weight would be something ridiculous I don't really care just saying lol

Bow of the High Elves

A Bow of High Elves is the weapon used by High Elves of Lindon and Rivendell, the bows being amongst the best bows of all of Middle-earth, capable of shooting arrows at great distances. Elladan, son of Elrond, was reputed to use this bow to great effect. In the film rendition, the High Elven bows appear to be made of a golden metal, thus requiring great strength to use.

From the wiki once again don't care not trying to be an asshole just proving my point.

Never said anything about high elves. Simple wooden longbows also do a lot of damage.

First post is on its way... as soon as I can get to my laptop!

@Maxwell57 Ok, the group and myself understand that if @Dutchess Sarah uses the bow you are talking about above, it breaks the lore. There are plenty of other master crafted bows that her character could use, which I am fine with her doing as long as the weapon does not play a part in the real LOTR story. We are all here to have fun and enjoy the story and RP so let us move on and forget about this, alright? It's for the good of the whole RP and those who are posting. My friend who is a lore master for Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit is helping me with everything, I have it all under control with priceless help. Now, I am going to get to sleep so I can wake up and get ready for my new job tonight! (Working at a professional haunted house.)

As a side note, do any of you play L.O.T.R.O?
