This is just a rough draft from an idea I had at 3 in the morning. xD Enjoy

Male 1 is a special species of human that can emote power during a certain state. It must be a euphoric state, but can only be retrieved if male 1 feels that the actions to get him there are genuine. He cannot be tricked in to this state. When his body does reach this state, he produces pure power which can be capsuled and used to generate systems. A minuscule amount of this power can generate an entire city though male 1 has no way of controlling this state on his own. (Yet if we decide to expand the story later.)
Male 2 is a scientist who has been obsessed with this species and wants to find a way to generate an immense amount to help broken cities but they must find a way to make male 1 become extremely happy genuinely but since male 1 has gone through a few experiments already, his doubts are high with anything that relates to the science. Male 2 comes in as a complete stranger and becomes roommates with male 1 and studies him from abroad. He uses him self to emulate the state out of the boy with friendship but it soon escalates in to romance and male 2 is now in love with male 1 and must make the decision whether to continue with his research and soon come up with a solution.
A later plot twist could be that male 1 finds out before male 2 can tell him.
