I wanted to see if anyone would be mildly or completely interested in having a sort-of Ghost Hunters RP, where our characters are a collection of people who search for proof of an afterlife with intense investigation of supposed hauntings. In this specific instance, they've been assigned to investigate a very sinister haunting in a rural town's church. Little do they know, what they're about to deal with will begin an adventure in which demonization and satanism come in play. If you're uncomfortable with topics like this, I suggest you shouldn't participate in this RP. In all honesty, I want this to be a very character-driven roleplay that focuses on how traumatizing or possibly rewarding this experience will become for said characters. This will a small group of three to four people so the intimacy of the roleplay can grow. For now, this is just a random Interest Check... once people begin to reply to this, we can begin to form a full synopsis to sort-of follow or utilize during the RP.

So... anyone interested?

I'm interested in the general concept of this role play and willing to bounce ideas to help flesh it out more.

Is the group going to be experienced in actually finding real ghosts or is this going to be their first interaction with something actually supernatural?

Yes, they will be experienced. This'll most likely be their twelfth or eleventh documented investigation; they're not new to investigating hauntings, but they're mildly new to the business itself.

A couple of questions right off the bat. What specializations within the team are you looking for? Like a tech guy/girl, historian, religious authority, occultist. That kind of thing. I'd like to know because I was thinking of a female occultist who has extensive knowledge on many occult subjects, specializing in Italian folklore, religion and the mystery cults of that country. Would that kind of character work in this setting?

Definitely! We can relate most of the evidence to Italian folklore and have it set in the country Italy itself. I'd actually like to see now if everyone could choose their roles now. I'm thinking about either being a Priest or quite possibly a Medium the team brings for special investigations.

Sounds great. For me it doesn't have to be set in Italy per se. I'd like to see a team that fits well together with people from all walks of life.
I've already started on a character premise.

Personally, it can of course be set anywhere. I don't mind. I just want the location we investigate to be tied to religion somehow... whether it's a church or a catholic school perhaps. Either or is great.
