Yeah, I'm a noob and got fairly far into the character creation process before I realized I was making a Homebrew. But @GodOfWar did some balancing on it and pronounced me fair game. I hope none of you mind I plan on playing a bit more unconventional and nefarious of a character.

Well... so far, I think you'd get more mileage of your character if you made them with 5e rules. Energy Blast is like Eldritch Blast in damage, however it's stronger than it would be for a Warlock your level given that you add Charisma to damage but at the same time it's weaker since you can only use it once per combat. If you want a pet using Warlock, you could go with Pact of the Chain come level 3 and before that you can have your friend already by getting the Ritual Caster Feat or some other means of getting Find Familiar and then waiting until level 3 for them to be improved. I dunno, it just seems like it may be troublesome for you and the GM in the future as your character progresses and you try to make a character progression meant for 3.5th or 4th edition work on 5th.

It is not, but as @Prince Potter mentioned, it is a homebrew I approved of. Also, regarding your concerns about character progressions and simplicity;

Potter, at the time, did not have the player's handbook on hand. It would've have been extremely challenging during character creation for me to have to explain every part of each warlock path AND the warlock class itself, so I was ok with him using a more readily available homebrew class and race. Again, as I said, both of these unofficial homebrews have been approved by me. But, I do thank you for taking an interest in the efficiency of the RP's future.

Understood, if everyone is happy with it! Still, if there is a desire to reroll the character's mechanics away from homebrew I'm willing to lend a hand. Otherwise, this is the last I say of this and fully accept it.

I -cough- have a pdf copy of the player handbook if anyone needs it -cough-.

@GodOfWar

Also you keep spelling/cping my chara's name wrong in the header posts as forhammer instead of foehammer.

xD

EDIT:

Also had a terribad roll on my intimidation check. It makes me sad; would have been epic to see that guard cower after my badass boast. (although it is level one so we have time for improvement)

Alexia silently weeps at the party's somewhat antagonistic actions to the guards she's trying to introduce them to... though she's also relieved for they could be a lot worse!

I apologize for the absence of posts, guys. I've had to catch up with work momentarily, which has been a real pain in the lower back if you know what I mean. I will try my best to produce an IC post either tomorrow or the following day. I thank you all for being so patient as I deal with my preliminary RL agenda.

Edited my post with the result of my check. I also replaced "You have nothing to fear from me if you oppose law and order" with "You have nothing to fear from me unless you oppose law and order." I wasn't running on much sleep yesterday. xD

Not so much dishonored, but I'm a Fire Emblem Fanatic. Playing through a couple of romhacks of 7 right now, it's kind of a hit-or-miss business in terms of quality.

@Izaka Sazaka Yeah, I enjoy the FE series as well. Which is why I'm trying to translate it into D&D format, due to my like for Tabletops

@Rogue Colm

I think it all depends on the route you want to go. If you want to use DnD's system but have an overall fire-emblem sort of flavour that's one way to work things (and probably the easiest/simplest), the other route is to homebrew rules with GURPS or something, which might prove a tad bit harder.

@Izaka Sazaka I'm somewhere in the halfway-done area, having used the GURPS homebrew. Whoo!
