If not for the dead silence of the entire house, besides the soft weeping that Lily was emitting, Lewis wouldn't of been able to hear what she said. Running a hand through his hair, letting out a long sigh, "I didn't chose to kill her, Lily. I chose to have fun, and I messed up." Lewis responded, his voice now stiffer and louder than before, "In case you forgot, I paid for it, too, Lily." Lewis' voice dropped down to an hushed tone, taking his hand from his hair and staring at it. It was hard to believe he was actually dead. Dead and no way to come back. No way to see those that had made his life, or to help his mom. Sighing, once again, Lewis spoke back up, "What I did was bad, Lily. It was awful. I'm not a monster, though."

"yeah you messed up" she yelled through the door. Her fury was back and she rolled out of bed to throw open her bedroom door "I hope your fun was worth it. Worth taking my very best friend away. The person who is probably the only person to ever truely love me more than themself." she stared at Lewis, a few free tears still running down her cheeks. Her eyes were red and swollen, ner nose red also but she didn't care that she looked like a wreck. She just kept yelling at him. "how about an 'I'm sorry' or is that too much for you? You're probably only here to get your ticket out of whereever it is you are." she waiting. Her blood continued to boil. As she waited for Lewis to say something.

When Lily threw open the bedroom door that Lewis' back was leaning against, the young man almost fell flat on his back, but caught himself before in the last moment. While be lectured, and yelled out, Lewis made his way to his feet, staring at his charge, "You think I chose to be your little fucking guide?" Lewis spoke, his voice raising as anger rushed through him. Pointing a finger in Lily's face, Lewis' anger continued to rise, unable to stop himself, "And yeah! That's what you are to me! A ticket so that I don't spend the rest of my life in nothingness!" Lewis added, continuing to point at Lily, "You think I fucked up your life?! You're still alive, dumb ass! Get over your fucking sister, because she's dead and doesn't matter anymore! Stop living in the past and be thankful you didn't die, because I did, and it fucking sucks! Especially when you have to deal with a whiny bitch like you!" Lewis' chest was heaving up and down, his cheeks completely flushed with anger and his eyes seeming to pierce directly through Lily with a hateful gaze.

Lily's mouth literally dropped open. Before she could stop her self she reached out to slap Lewis. "have you ever lost someone close to you? Probably not so yoi cannot tell me to get over it. She didn't deserve to die. You are the one who made the mistake!" she started out calmly but her voice rose with ever sentence. "your dead to so I guess you don't matter either.get out. and with that Lily slammed the door in his face. And sat on the side of her bed. She layed her head on her knees and wrapped her arms around her legs as a fresh bout of tears sprang free from her eyes.

As the door slammed shut, Lewis nearly bursted with rage, having half the mind to simply phase through the door and continue the argument. As he went to reach through the solid door, he stopped himself. For how quiet it was, he was still able to hear the young girl weeping. Sighing, Lewis turned around to look down the staircase. Sticking his hands in his pockets, he made his way down the stairs, slowly, thoughts running through his head, mainly ones of regret. Once on the ground floor, Lewis continued his slow march, heading straight for the front door. After a moment of staring at the front door, Lewis walked through the solid material, and into the outside world. Taking in a deep breath, Lewis glanced around the front lawn, ~ Maybe I should just leave. How can I help anyone? ~ Lewis thought, taking a grassy seat on the front lawn, watching as cars passed by, children played outside, and people labored on their lawns. Even though he could appreciate these sights, Lewis was still dead and invisible to the world around him, except for one person. The person that was now upstairs in the house, crying her eyes out.

Lily waited for Lewis to come into her room, figuring he wanted to fight some more. But he never came. She sat there quietly and tried to calm her tears. "What am I supposed to do?" She whispered. She knew there wouldn't be a reply, there never was. Lily didn't want to yell anymore. She didn't want to cry.She just wanted it to stop hurting. Lily knew that Lewis was right, Claire was gone and there wasn't anyway to change that. She mattered, she would always matter, but she wasn't coming back. But how could Lily just forget the fact that Lewis was the reason Claire was gone. He was the reason she was alone. Lily took a deep breath and wiped her face. She was still a wreck. But having shed enough tears for one day Lily decided it was time to get on with her normal routine. She whistled for King to follow as she headed down stairs to find lunch.

Lewis was unaware of the Lily that had finished her isolation, and went on with her daily routine, as the young man was still outside, in a world of his own. Watching the world go by, Lewis ran his fingers through the sides of his grassy seat, pulling up the occasional handful of grass. Thoughts still raced through the man's head, now, as regret for his actions fully hit him. Half prompted to go inside and apologize, the only thing keeping him sitting was his intense pride, to refuse to even begin to look like he had messed up. Sighing, Lewis stood up, and made his own way back towards the house.

Lily had scanned the fridge and cabinets for something to eat. There was plenty of food but nothing she particularly wanted right now. She wanted comfort food. Something delicious and bad for you. And since she would have to leave the house to get brownies she decided to use Lewis's suggestion and order pizza. She plopped on the couch and cuddled up underneath a blanket as she dialed the pizza place. She ordered a large pepperoni pizza. ~keepin it simple.~ she thought as she flipped through the channels. Not finding anything on tv she opened up her recordings and put it on Grease, it never got old. Settling down further into the couch, Lily was content to watch a nice, cheesy movie while she waited for her pizza.

Lewis phased through the front door, his auditory senses instantly filling with the noise that implied Lily had moved herself down stairs, and was watching TV. Without much of a word, Lewis made his was to the living room. Sure enough, there sat Lily, settled deep into the couch watching some movie. Keeping his silent march, Lewis trudged over to one of the chairs in the living room, and took a solemn seat. Pulling his legs to his chest, Lewis avoided eye contact with the girl, instead opting to focus on the TV as much as possible.

Lily watched Lewis enter the living room. He didn't look at her, instead he just sat and began watching tv. She felt eerily calm. Lily didn't feel the need to yell or cry. She was indifferent to him. So she said nothing and continued to wait for her pizza. Agreed a few minutes of silence she heard the doorbell and went to answer the door, never looking at Lewis. After paying, Lily took her pizza to the kitchen and fixed a plate. She returned to her place on the couch and opted to stay silent, only watching her movie.

Despite the arrival of pizza, and Lily making herself a plate, Lewis kept his eyes transfixed on the TV. Wrapping his arms around his legs, with his neck seemingly locked in the same position, away from Lily, Lewis finally spoke up at the pizza-eating Lily, "I used to eat pizza from that place, all the time. I don't even have to look at it to know who you ordered it from." Lewis started, his voice even and calm, but the faintest hints of distress could be picked up on, "You can practically smell the grease on it." At this, Lewis let loose a very short chuckle, as if he was amused by the memories that flooded back from the smell of the pizza.

"Heart attack in a box" Lily commented, chuckling a little herself. But then she was silent. She hadn't meant to speak to Lewis but it just came out. Maybe she felt bad for him. After all he was dead. But it was his own stupid mistake that put him there. Not like innocent Claire. ~He deserves this. Right?...~ She didn't know anymore. so she just continued to watch her movie and eat her pizza. She had to resist the urge to sing along to the songs, but managed to control herself.

"I use to eat that shit everyday. It's a wonder I didn't...." Lewis trailed off for a moment, glancing down in reflection of what he was about to say, "It's a wonder I didn't die sooner." Lewis attempted to let out a chuckle to lighten his words, but it came out half-hearted and barely sincere. Lewis glanced back at Lily, looking at her for a moment before turning back around to the movie. Lewis opened his mouth, and began to say something witty, or slightly sarcastic, but he lost any type of ability to speak, still stuck in mid-reflection. It was hard to believe he was actually dead, but he refused to allow it show how shocked and depressing it was to him, especially to Lily.

"you know, it really isn't funny." Lily said as she finished her last piece of pizza. She wiped her hands on an already greasy napkin. "death that is. People joke about it all the time but it isn't funny." She stopped then, not sure what else to say. Lily glanced at Lewis, looking at him for the first time since he'd sat down. She expected to feel hatred and anger but there was only indifference. She rubbed the Claire's bracelet absentmindedly. It was she had left of Claire. She felt a wash of sadness but then she smiled at all the memories she had made with Claire. ~Would she want me to hate him?~

Lewis smirked at Lily's remark, leaning his head back and staring up at the ceiling, "I used to be one of those people." Lewis replied, taking one of his hands and running it through his hair, "I always used to joke about dying and how I was invincible, and how stupid you'd have to be to die young." Lewis added, placing his hand down at his side, then turning his head to look over and make eye contact with Lily, "It's just now, that I'm dead, that I realize I did it because I was afraid. Death scared me." Lewis glanced down at the floor in a solemn silence, letting his words hang in the air.

"then why did you do it?" Something that could kill you?" Lily couldn't comprehend why someone would do something so stupid. "or someone else" she added quietly as an after thought. Lily whistled for King, needing his comfort. He ran in and curled up on her lap. She petted him silently.

Lewis shrugged at first, staring back at the movie as he pondered the question, "I secretly wanted it to happen." Lewis admitted, keeping his voice as monotonous as possible, and concealing his emotion, "I didn't want to take someone with me." He added, whispering his response as he put his legs back down on the ground, trying his best to keep his eyes on the TV.

"why? Why would you want to die?" Lily wanted to yell at him about his selfishness but she bit her tongue. "you were afraid of dying but wanted to die? That doesnt make any sense." she shook her head bewildered. "guess you got your wish though."

Lewis ignored the question Lily posed. He didn't expect anyone in her position to understand it, or to sympathize with it. To live just for the sake of living, with nothing to look forward to and nothing to look back on. To have everyone you know to go away. To let everyone down. Lewis couldn't help but smirk as he reflected on the empire of dirt he had built while he was living. Lewis glanced back at Lily, and looked her up and down, "I hope you plan on running that pizza off." He teased, hoping making Lily angry would lighten the mood.

It wasn't lost on Lily that Lewis avoided bee questions. Clearly a sore subject. Lily squinted at him angrily. "no. I think I'll have another slice." she said this as she grabbed a piece of pizza and shoved it in her mouth, staring at Lewis. After having chewed through her big bite she said with a mouth half full "tell me about where you come from."
