Motivations: scientific curiosity, protectiveness, defensive paranoia, lust/love, righteousness.

History: Mith lived a fairly average life, growing up in a middle class family in the country of New York. He was very disciplined, did well in school, and tried to make his parents proud. He did however struggle in his relationship with his father, who could never accept that his son was gay. There were fights. Sending Mith into the military didn't change anything, and he exited that endeavor on poor terms. He managed to get through college afterward on his own, but gave up pursuing med school for various reasons. Before he could graduate, his dear mother died of cancer. The family broke apart. He's been on his own ever since, job-hopping until he found a position as a research coordinator at a university hospital in Charleston. He's basically just trying to live a normal life, like everyone else.

On his off time, he frequents the night clubs in hopes of finding someone fun and interesting to share time with, perhaps somebody special one day. He of course horribly repressed and awkward and explicitly discerning. This could take a while.

Another hobby that has intensely grabbed his interest outside of work has been the activities of the secretive cult known at the Knights Templar. The name is cliche, of course, but they claim a lineage descendant from the original knights, to a sect explicitly created by the Pope to hunt vampires. They keep historical records, identify, hunt, and tract vampires, and are basically the KKK against all vampirekind. Currently, Mithias thinks he has discovered a vampire hiding among humans in the French quarter, one Madame Blanche, and he is investigating her.

Connections: Has made loose friends with Joseph Bevvy at the nightclub. Investigating one local aristocrat, Mrs. Blanche. New associate in the secret society, "Knights Templar."

I think those go on the character page once they're approved.

I will move it there when it is approved. I think it's best if people can see what I intend to make, then they can better plan connections between us, like I did.

I think it's best I do my own thing and don't read the directions at all.

I read everything. What is that so hard to believe? I am honestly not sure I want to get involved in an rp if this is the way people are going to act.

I'll just defer to the GMs. Far be it from me to stifle your creativity when I'm not running this RP.

I think it's important for the characters to be sent to the GMs first to clear up major misunderstandings and to organize things nicely. Also, in the context of this rp, it's really only appropriate to make vampiric characters. :(

When you don't follow the rules posted in the OP, it can show a lack of discipline or attentiveness that a GM may be looking for.

You see, it's a good thing I posted this character in the oc, because it allowed people to inform me that they do not like him. The cs is also pm'd to Nox, so that rule actually is followed. As for why I made a human, it was strictly for the benefit of the gm and players to increase the reasons for interacting between characters. I intentionally made a background that put him at risk for becoming a thrall, because I would like to try playing that. Thralls of vampires are allowed, I believe. Nox can correct me if I am a wrong. Personally, I love vampires, but I play them all the time. I was going for being a little different.
None the less, I am very put off by your prejudice against me and will be leaving. The loss is yours. Apologies to Nox.

Hey @Noxious or @Hellis did you get around to deciding what methods are known to be effective for destroying Vampires in this setting? Haven't found it anywhere and was wondering if I'd missed it. I always found learning about the rules so to speak in different fictions one of the most interesting parts.

Sunlight, Decapitation, Fire, Stake to the heart I believe are the four really big ones, as per usual when it comes to vampires. Different bloodlines might have extra weaknesses. You can also be torn to bits with enough bullets.
