Less than a week until Thanksgiving, Christmas was honing in, and the city was covered in beautiful layers of snow. Ryan heard her alarm going off beside her and she groaned. It was six in the morning on a Saturday, and she did not want to get out of bed. She hit her alarm clock and flipped over, staring up at the ceiling. The law firm was closed for the next week while the major partners were away for the holidays, and she was glad that she had saved up some more money and had some photography gigs throughout the week for Christmas cards. However, today Adam was going to drag her to the gym.

So she wasn’t going to let him wake her up. She kicked her legs over the side of the bed, knowing he’d be getting out of his room in fifteen minutes. Her hair was a mess, her oversized t-shirt that had once belonged to Adam, but after a drunken night when he first moved in she laid claim to was falling off of one shoulder, and her shorts were nearly hidden beneath the fabric. She smiled a bit, dashing out of her room and flinging open Adams door, jumping on his bed.

“Wake up!” she chuckled. She began shaking his shoulder, still laughing. “I beat you this time.”

She rolled off his bed before he could grab hold of her and she tripped over a shoe he had lying on the floor. Her butt hit the ground with a thud before she got up, and headed back into her bedroom and sat at her vanity, brushing out her tangled tresses of Sandy blonde hair. She pulled up her natural waved into a half ponytail – half bun looking thing, and she quickly packed up her gym bag before throwing on some jeans and a long sleeved shirt.

She headed into the kitchen – dining room and put on a pot of coffee before opening the fridge and popping a donut hole she bought yesterday in her mouth as she continued about the kitchen. “Adam! What can I make for breakfast that you won’t tell me I can’t eat?” she hollered, beginning to realize that he had slowly taken over the kitchen cabinets.

“I remember why I moved out of Aaron’s place now.” She mumbled, thinking back to when she lived with her older brother. She shook her head a bit and sat at the small dining table, plucking her phone from the counter where she had left it to charge over night and saw she had a few messages. Three were from her mom, sending pictures from Paris. She and Aaron had sent her there for her birthday, but she wouldn’t be back until after Thanksgiving, and Aaron was spending Thanksgiving in California with his girlfriend and her family.

She finally saw the last message was a voicemail. She put it to her ear and she listened intently, it was from a Johnathan Hargrove about a wedding job on Christmas. She let out a loud squeal, but knew it was too early to call back about it. She then went on to have her own little excited freak out session. “OHMYGOD! MYFIRSTWEDDINGGIG! THISWILLOPENSOMANYDOORS!!” she was being rather loud and began hopping up and down, barely realizing herself that she had gotten up from her sitting position.

She began dancing happily around the kitchen, grabbing some eggs from the fridge and getting ready to make breakfast.

--

It was going to be a good day, at least that was what Johnathan Hargrove thought as he stood in the kitchen, happily cooking an omelet for himself and one for Erin who would likely be getting up anytime now. Saturdays were his gym day, and he was hoping that maybe today Erin would come with him. Not to work out even, but to spend time with him there so she could see the gym where his office was. That and he wanted her to check out the spa that they had because he knew with the wedding closing in and the photographer quitting on them , she was stressed out.

However, he had that covered, waiting to hear back from the one he was recommended. Adam Reid, the personal trainer that he talked to from day to day had said that his friend was an excellent photographer. So, on a whim, he called the woman and left her a message so they could all meet up. Hopefully it wouldn’t be today because he and Erin were going to spend time with Holly, Sam, and the kids before Thanksgiving. Because Thanksgiving would be chaos.

He chuckled a bit to himself, plating the omelet and placing it on a tray with some orange juice and coffee before he headed into the bedroom and set the tray down on the nightstand, looking to his phone. It was almost seven o’clock, and his phone lit up, vibrating on he table. He answered it, hushed. “Hello?”

“Hi, Johnathan Hargrove? It’s Ryan Harper, you called me last night about hiring me for a wedding.” The female voice spoke, and he smiled.

“Yes, that was me.” He said, sitting on the bed and moving Erin’s blonde hair from her face with a smile. “My fiancé and I would love to meet with you here over the next week so we can go over the details with you. I know Thanksgiving is coming up, but we only have five more weeks.”

He was cut off. “Now worries, I’ll be in town. Just give me a call when you guys want to meet up. Sorry, I would say today, but I am busy today.”

“No worries. So are we. I’ll give you a call when we could do a meeting.” He said, hanging up before kissing Erin’s cheek, gingerly. “Good morning, sweetheart. I found us a photographer.”

He reached over and grabbed his cup of coffee, taking a sip before getting back out of bed and getting ready for the day.

--

It had been a terribly long night at the office, and Samuel was glad for the day off. He blinked his blue eyes, hearing the soft cries from the baby monitor off to the left side of the bed. He kissed his wife’s temple and got up, heading down the hall and into little Arianna’s bedroom. He picked her up from her crib and gently held her, hearing her cry. “What’s the matter, baby girl?” he whispered, softly to his daughter as he felt her diaper. She didn’t feel wet, nor did she smell, so he was guessing she was hungry.

“C’mon, let’s get you some breakfast.” He said, carrying her, carefully down into the kitchen as he began boiling water to warm her bottle. She was still fussing and he gently bounced her in his arms. “Just a few minutes, Arianna. I promise.” He said, adjusting her blanket over her as he placed her bottle in the water for a few minutes, allowing the contents to heat up.

He heard movement upstairs, and smiled when he heard his sons voice. “Mommy! I hungwy!”

Samuel shook his head and soon brought Arianna’s bottle out of the water, turning off the stove before sitting on the couch and feeding his infant daughter, who gurgled happily with the bottle in her mouth. “That’s my girl.” He said, and he could hear the creak of the stairs, and soon Justin clambered onto the couch beside him and Arianna. He sat close to him and looked at Arianna.

“Daddy, her hungwy?” he asked, and soon he heard the stairs again.

“Yeah, Justin. She’s just like her brother. She loves to eat.” He smiled, a tired laugh escaping him as he looked over to see Holly. “Good morning, honey.” He said. “I see our little man woke you.”

He brought the bottle up from Arianna’s mouth, and grabbed the corner of her blanket and wiped the corner of her mouth as she gurgled again. He stood up and walked about, grabbing a nearby burping rag and placing it on his shoulder as he patted his daughter’s back, watching his son climb up on the chair near the table to see what his mother was doing.

Sam walked over to Holly and placed a kiss to her lips and he heard Arianna burp. He smiled a bit. “I’m going to get Arianna ready for the day. Hopefully while I’m picking out her clothes she will have a diaper for me to change.” He said, heading back up the stairs and tossing the burp rag into the dirty hamper once he wiped off Arianna’s mouth with it and he opened her drawers.

“So, Miss Arianna, what do you want to wear today?” he asked her, as if she would answer.

Adam Lucas Reid

Adam awoke to Ryan who seemed to be excited about heading to the Gym. Unfortunately Adam was working but he didn't have many clients that day. He had a meeting with a new client who wanted diet and workout routines to be put into place and he had an appointment with a regular client whom he had helped to lose a lot of weight so far. He got up and stretched only in a pair of black boxers with a pink top and buttons. His muscular, toned body and 6 pac was on show. It had been a hard time recently with the recent seperation. He found himself glad to have been able to cancel a wedding rather than get a divorce. He smiled as he heard Ryan in the kitchen having received a job at a Wedding. He wondered whether it was with the accountant at the Gym. He spoke to the guy a lot and had happened to recommend Ryan as he had mentioned his photographer cancelling at the last minute.

Adam walked through to the kitchen in just his boxers. He took the natural yogurt from the fridge and poured it into a bowl before adding some Honey, blueberries and strawberries. He took a spoon and sat down eating it and drinking some water. Later he would have a ham and lettuce sub and for dinner a treat. He liked treats but every day everything needed to be within moderation. He awaited Ryan finishing the conversation. When she did he grinned "as I'm giving you a free training session have whatever you want. If I was you I would have scrambled eggs and a slice of brown bread." He said having noticed the eggs. Ryan was his best friend but through everything she was the one that had kept him feeling strong.

Erin smiled as she awoke to Johnathan having sorted out her worst nightmare. This Wedding was stressful enough for her without having a Wedding vendor cancelling at the very last minute. Weddings as Erin had learned took a lot of organisation, and money. She used to be amazed by how stressed the brides that she had worked for had been. She soon learned though that they had every reason to be so. She would do her Wedding party's hair and makeup and her Maid of Honor would help her and do hers. Erin sat up and stretched before drinking some coffee. "Good morning baby. Thank you so much for sorting out my nightmare! I was so scared we'd be left asking family and friends." She said as she looked at her fiance. She was so excited to be Mrs Erin Hargrove. She loved the man with everything that she had. He was her 'one'.

Erin ate her breakfast before she got up. She had a quick shower using her Bath and Body Works Snowkissed Sugar shower gel and Shea Cashmere shampoo. Once ready she dressed in her dressing gown. She blow dried her hair before tying it up in a top knot and then changing into a crop top jumper and blue skinny jeans with her black UGG boots. She smiled looking at Johnathan. "So, time for the Gym?" She asked her man. She kissed him gently. "Do I look ok or should I put some make up on?" She asked him.

By 8AM Holly was already dressed. She dressed really simply these days. There wasn't really a lot of time for her to dress the way that she used to. She had already lost all of the baby weight and was back into her size 4 clothing. She had curled her auburn locks and applied naturally looking makeup. Dressed in a white oversized jumper with gold glittery sleeves, a pair of black leggings and her black knee length boots she was already getting on with her parental duties. She had already gotten through all of the laundry and had dressed Tyler. Tyler was sat scribbling on a colouring book as Holly was cooking. She had prepared the meal for her brother and her best friend to come over later. She was now making up pancake batter for breakfast. This was the way that she enjoyed her life. A family life, full of hussle bustle, love and laughter. She had just had their second baby and life was amazing. When Sam told Holly that he would get Arianna up Holly had nodded "thank you baby. Just hurry because your breakfast should be ready soon."

Holly set about making pancakes pouring the mixture into the pan and spreading the mixture around in the pan. She made large ones for herself and Sam before making smaller ones for Tyler. "What's that you're colouring?" She asked Tyler as she cooked. Tyler grinned "it's Elsa from Frozen!" He said excitedly. He was using a Disney colouring book, a present from the new baby.
