I realize that Saiyuki is a rather old anime (and an old legend long before that) that was not terribly popular in most countries other than Japan, even in it's prime. However, it is an anime that played a staple role in my childhood. I was curious to see if there were any other people out there who might be interested in forming a roleplay based on the series.
I have currently only indulged in the anime and the movie, but I am currently working on the manga series. I don't have any particular plots planned, but one thing I know I'd want is to have the story take place before Gyoumao is awakened. Perhaps some back story that isn't provided in the anime/manga, original characters... things of that nature. A sort of addition to the canon plot.
I'd like to see people fill the roles for the four main characters as well as those of Gyoumao's side. Perhaps members of the heavens even. I would think that a plot should be at least somewhat developed before characters are officially requested and assigned.
