Kho said All you really need to know is the history of the country of your choosing at the time,

I wouldn't have said you have to. It would probably be a better policy to pick a country you want to learn about rather than know about. For instance I knew nothing of Canada, my country in game. Now however I know a fair bit and I have really enjoyed all the research.

Ahhhhhhhhhh! The British empire is coming, the British empire is coming! Run Paul von Struddeldorf! Ride like the wind to Vienna and warn the emperor of our impending doom!

National Focuses, Regular Orders, and the thing for Wars
I didn't see it if it was posted apologies. I don't suppose I could play a Ireland or a British Colony that declared independence due to the economic crisis in Britain?

EDIT: And what exactly would be posted in the IC thread, because we PM our actions to the GM?

The worst of that crisis is over. It was more of a massive slump and quick recoveries. And you'd have to ask Vaexa.

National Focuses always succeed even just barely. Orders can fail. Those orders can be used to do whatever you want with your country. War Orders only pertain to well war, troop movements and attacking and stuff. Its all fairly simple.

As for the economic crisis its largely over now in most countries, it was fairly quick depression. I wouldn't recommend just declaring independence seeing as most of your troops by now are in a foreign country.

In the IC you react to national and international events and come up with treaties with other countries which are like joint orders with another country.

Denmark DID end up arming rebels in Ireland. I'm not sure. I kinda wanted to make a Fascist State in a creative way.

and Germany too, I think... maybe. I think it would be cool. I know a person played as Libyan Rebels so I reckon you could play as the Irish don't take my word on it at all.

Dutch, you should give him a list of all the AVAILABLE countries at the moment. Should make things easier :P
(But I wouldn't mind if you omit a certain Sublime country...)

Reza Pahlavi's absolute monarchy if you want an autocracy. Something South American is possible.

It all depends on who loses WWI.

If you wanted to meta it, which I recommend you don't. Play as any country and lose the Great War really badly. Then you can Fascist it up as much as you please. But don't :p

Doh! I would strongly advise against Reza Pahlavi's absolute monarchy. Worst possible choice. I mean, c'mon, who would even want that...

But Ireland and Scotland beckon to me. As does India (but a fascist India would be kinda crazy, I think).
I'll figure it out during the day. Can't be like to post anything big for six hours

So basically your only requirement is that it be a country within the British Empire?

I've never played a historical NRP as an English speaking country or as a fascist country. Two birds?

Also, why is it that Australia is French?

S'not just similar colours. I think most people would agree with me in saying you can pretty much play as any nation (within reason) and still have fun even if it wasn't what you had planned.

Your country needs to basically have lost World War I for fascism to rise.
