So before they all eat, he announces the Triwizard and the two other schools. Now, do you want Beauxbatons involved? As that was the French school (really irks me that they made it single-sex in the movies when both schools were co-ed) and she has just come from France. Or would you like to use another school? I know typically that the Triwizard is between Hogwarts, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. But maybe (just for drama's sake) the French school could be disqualified this year, so one of the other magical schools replaces it. Just makes it all a little more dramatic.

Yep exactly :) and wishing everyone a good new school year, and so on :)

Whilst Veronica would have come from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, it'd be nice to use one of the others along with Durmstrang.

Maybe use the the one from Russia or USA as a replacement for the french one :)

Perhaps there was some form of scandal at Beauxbatons, which is why Veronica is at Hogwarts and why the school also got disqualified? Could involve the wizarding war.

That is a good idea :) and since she and her family moved to London, it's just more convenient for her as well, since it's closer and has a better reputation at the moment than her former school.

Nothing wrong with a long opener. Posts inevitably get shorter, especially with interaction etc.

I shall work on a reply shortly. Just in the middle of wrapping gifts, but it's getting very boring lol. I've also got washing up to do and tidying to do.
