About to start work on my character, but I thought I'd ask a little more about the setting; specifically, the non-hell part. Is there a specific time period, or pantheon of Gods I should have in mind before I get started?

The time period is generally restricted to generic fantasy "Middle Earth" there is no particularly set time period per say as it ranges from the dark ages, till early steampunk. Most people whoever do not have access to high technology levels and hence are set in the Middle Ages. The exception to this would be anyone favoured by the Gods of Invention or Time Domains who would have reasonable access to future technology due to their Patron god's dominion over these aspects. So if such a demigod exists, they could have modern-day tech, to a limited degree.

The pantheon of Gods are up for grabs, there are myriad of Gods which can be either based off of real world mythos or made to custom fit your character. The Gods of course were also "Created" by this ascension process, hence why so many of them may exist. This also explains why the Pantheon is so varied (think Shinto) as there is almost a God for every Domain.

I am currently at the 8th layer, so we should have the offical Rp by tomorrow evening.

Depending on how many people Do show up, (9 seems like a large group) I may set up a post maximum & post minimum to allow the dungeon crawl to proceed without having to account for the busy schedules of 9 people and get them all to have a fair amount of interactions with each other/the dungeon. Would anyone object say a guideline which states in order to keep the pace of the dungeon crawl there is a maximum of 3 posts per week, and minimum 1 post per 10 days?

Yeah, I think that seems like a fair minimum/maximum. And as for the character, I'll be drawing some ideas together tonight ready to write up something tomorrow.

The First two were glaringly obvious typos now that I've read it again, editing your own writing is difficult especially when you just wrote it. That being said, the the last point means exactly that: Tainted Metal Waters. The waters are Tainted, and the the kenning of Metal Waters suggests there is almost an equal distribution of water to metal.

There is still room depending on how many people show up, ideally a group of 9 is manageable for a dungeon crawl like this.

Also, for everyone else as well, the actual thread is up, and I'll continue to flesh out the first page with a synopsis post, lore and whatnot. The first GM post shall be approximately Next Monday and lay the scene. Essentially the Demigods are being sent on their quest, either that or they all meet up at a bar and decide to all become gods because bars are the best places to start adventures, or prisons. :)

Good, although Aspects are usually limited to One area/topic. I'd suggest compiling them into either one "Clump" such as the aspect of "Radiance" symbolizing the warmth and light the sun provides (and thus indirectly some touchy-feely healing) as an official Aspect. Also the history seems a bit brief for a warhero-demigod. Although I will allow it as long as you change the actual countries to some fantasy nation as the world isn't quite "Earth" per say but a fantasy "Middle Earth" realm which is an amalgam of the PC histories.

Maybe. There are several Rps I am looking at, but I don't have time for them all.

Yeah, Ive had my eye on it, and I'm just trying to find some character inspiration. I've been watching the other applicants, and I'm trying to make something that doesn't encroach on what anybody else is doing. Once I have something, I'll write it up and post it ;)
