The Fox delivers again.

Long story short, I played Skyrim, and only Skyrim for three years straight. My Xbox broke last year, and I couldn't play anymore, so I've been looking for something to fill the void. I was overjoyed when I saw this rp pop up, as I knew that this would satiate my desire to play Skyrim again!

I've beaten the main storyline, but I was busy trying to beat the DLCs (which I never finished), so to put simply..one simply does not "beat" Skyrim.

I beat Skyrim on the X360 and then got it on my laptop. Now, I've downloaded so many mods my game is so fucked I can't even play it.

So, I mean, that's probably the only reason I RP the Elder Scrolls so much.

See, I haven't been lucky enough to play Skyrim on a high quality computer to handle mod downloads, but I've definitely seen a lot of the mods they do have. I saw that Vocaloid girl was available as a character/follower. It seems like a dark realm to venture into @_@'

But I'm glad that I'm not the only one addicted enough to come and role play it! (: so you all undoubtedly have my full devotion to this rp until it's dead in the dirt >.>

*whispers quietly* this is all I have now...

TESV5 has exponentially more modded contents than Bethesda could ever hope to make, but with that said, it's a big field and caters to vastly different tastes (and require beefy machines). For myself, I really took a shine on the "game extension mods"; items like immersive weapons/armor and quests like Grey Cowl of Nocturnal expands the universe Bethesda created.

Not much of a console gamer myself, since I like mouse and keyboard a lot more than the controller (except for racing games). And on the PC, I am more of a FPS and RTS guy. TES is one of the few RPGs I really dig. The lore is crazy deep and the games themselves are highly open, allowing for exploration at your own pace. Like Fox said, this is probably why most of us are here; there are just so many possibilities to discover with The Elder Scrolls, and what better avenue are more suitable than writing it out with fellow fans?

Been playing a bit of ESO lately, anyone else have it?

I don't have it. A friend of mine plays it, but I've heard that there's nothing uniquely TES about it other than "it's set there." The fact they made Elder Scrolls just zany power-ups made me frown. I don't disrespect anyone who does play it, but I don't think I will. Speaking of TES games, what with Bethesda's work on FO4, I'm both excited and dreading what they're going to do to the Elder Scrolls' next installment. They removed a lot of features in FO4 and replaced them with gimmicky ones, I think.

ESO's nothing too amazing, and it does have the ups and downs associated with MMOs. Still, its lore are solid, even that means ordinary. And the gameplay's obviously different vs. the traditional, singleplayer format, but I enjoy it personally. Zanimax's going a different direction, so I consider it more as a spin-off than TES6. With FO4, they're innovating a lot, for sure. With big franchises like these, changes bound to happen, and as a player, I honestly just enjoy seeing more content.

Say, I know I dropped out of this RP, but somebody sent me a review over Fanfiction who 'heard [I] was writing [my] own stories'. I thought it might have been someone from in here, since I don't remember mentioning that anywhere else. Not that I'm complaining. I'll take any reviews I can get. :V

Well, this was an unexpected turn of events. I appreciate it.

We have the right tools to deal with flames, though. Like Fire Extinguishers. :V

I'm definitely not going to say I didn't have fun playing it. I stayed up way past any time considered reasonable because I was playing, but I do have to say that I noticed the things I didn't like after the fact. That said, good game, can't wait for mods to fix, change and add things. I hope Bethesda at least listens to some of the critiques, but I know the world of the VG making industry is definitely not catered to the player as much as we'd like it to be, so profits always have to come first. I just want a rich world with big choices where I can RP my own character, but still have it be as graphically upgraded from the original engine NV and FO3 were on. Like I said, both excited and dreading what they do to TES.

Also, I posted.

And I'll read those literary works later.

I'm just glad they've finally moved on from Gamebryo.

Gamebryo was state-of-the-art when Morrowind came out. By the time Obilivion rolled in, it's nearing obsolete. Beth did pretty good on improving Creation engine from TES5 to FO4, beside the bugs, which are pretty much standard issue with every Bethesda release. Id5 used for Wolfenstein has the best graphics they put out, but then again, the scale of Wolfenstein was minuscule compared to Fallout.

Update: Next IC arriving tomorrow.

In a nutshell, yeah. They share the same core code but Bethesda renovated a lot in areas such as animations and AI. Hell, if you to go that specific, nearly every major game engine can be traced back to Quake engine or Unreal.
