I couldn't decide whether this should be posted in Spam or Off-Topic, but Spam seems to be more for dicking around, so I'll just set it right here for now.
Anyway, I need some Skyrim help.
More specifically with my trusty steed, Shadowmere.
So, a long time ago, I acquired the demon horse and was having a blast with him because he was so helpful, didn't cost money (money used to be a really big issue for me when I first started out >.>), couldn't die, fought with me, and I could always count on him to not run away during battle like the other horses did. To which I'd always lose them.
Shadowmere is awesome. Or in this instance, he WAS.
I was climbing a mountain one day, and he managed to fall right off, with me on him. Yeah, he saved my life, but he sacrificed himself doing so. Heartbroken, I looked up solutions to this problem, because I thought he was immortal. Said he'd respawn 10 days later. So, I figured, "Kden, I'll just walk and wait and he'll be back."
Thing is, he never came back, even after 10+ days. I read online that he's at the last place he died at.
But you see, I lost him on a randomass fucking mountain crag a long time ago, and I don't remember what quest I was doing when he died. Long story short, he's lost, and I'm not about to climb every mountain in the world (literally) to bring him back.
I heard that he would be back at the stables or the Sanctuary pool, but he isn't.
I can't find the answer anywhere. ;-; The only answers I get are, "use console commands lol" or "just look where he died".
1. I can't use console commands; I have a PS3.
2. I lost him on a CRAG somewhere. A CRAG. ;-; Even if I wanted to find him on the side of a damn mountain or cliff, I'd probably die too if I tried.
I'm about to give up entirely, and just find Arvak, or buy a weakling of a horse at some stables.
I don't want Arvak, though. Despite his cool appearance, he has to be resummoned like 20 times, unless you're riding him. Plus, you can't summon him within holds--only in the Wilds of Skyrim or at Soul Cairn.
And it's obvious why I don't want a horse I have to buy. >.> They always die after LITERALLY 10 minutes.
Is there anything I can do that can save me plenty of time?
I was thinking about buying another horse, using it for a while, then killing it; then returning to the Dark Sanctuary pool to see if Shadowmere respawns there, but would that even work?
