Story (NOTE: Extensive knowledge of the show is not necessary. It's a pretty standard Zompocalypse story with some key things that can easily be explained in about three sentences.)
The world has been riddled with the Zombie Virus for quite some time now. Four years? Five maybe? Who knows for sure anymore? All that matters is that Alvin Murphy makes it to that damn CDC lab in California... Or, at least, that's what the remaining people of the world think.
What they don't know is that Murphy is not the only human to survive a zombie bite or two. Felicity Nagle, a juvenile "delinquent" from Northern Michigan with a little more history than she cares to share had found herself in a similar situation as Murphy - tied to an operating table with an IV that pumped the vaccine into her blood.
Felicity was the government's back-up plan in case the first one failed. Now, she's traveling to the same CDC lab with a group of survivors to do the thing she doubts Murphy can. Citizen Z's initial announcement had likely drawn a lot of unwanted attention to the man and Felicity is a complete secret. Everyone is after Murphy and the attention is off of her. Getting to California should be a piece of cake so long as ammunition stays in stock and food is within reach.
About the Roleplay
This roleplay is (obvious) based of off the SyFy channel's Z Nation. I don't own the series, though, I'd like to think my roleplay idea is original. I don't expect there to be a million posts in one day, so don't feel pressured to post as soon as someone replies to you. This is a chill roleplay so sit back and enjoy it.
I'd like to see Citizen Z (should we choose to keep him in the story) as an NPC played by anyone who needs him in the moment that they need him. That means anyone can put him in their posts.
The Dreaded Rules
These are pretty standard, I think.
1) Keep it PG13. I don't mind swearing or even innuendos. Just keep the spicy stuff to PMs.
2) No God-moding (Though Felicity is literally the second savior of mankind, even she is not God. I expect that no one else tries to be God either.)
3) No Metagaming (If no one has told your character or they haven't figured it out in text yet, assume they just don't know.)
4) Post frequently enough to keep the story from dying out.
5) Give us warning if you're dropping out or are going to be absent for some time. If you don't, it's the zombie apocalypse - we will write you out after a couple weeks.
6) Have fun. This is just as much your roleplay as it is mine. This includes presenting your own ideas and anything like that. Don't be afraid to do something a little crazy. If you're nervous about an idea, feel free to post it in the OOC chat or PM myself or Fillet.
