Most in Brain Burst probably believe that Shizuka has uninstalled and retired from the game seeing as she hasn't gotten on it in the last three years. This fortunately is untrue, though she doesn't know why she can't seem to push herself to delete it. Maybe it was all the memories they held of her brother and the last thing she wanted to do was purposely forget him or maybe it was the guilt from thinking it was her fault. If she hadn't gotten to level nine, if she hadn't been a huge target than none of this would have happened. Her brother died because of that crash and nothing could change that no matter how much she wanted to. It was her fault. If it hadn't been for her brother's Guardian than she would have been challenged while completely injured with coma. Mamorimasu worked hard to keep her safe but the coma wouldn't shake so he went to seek help. He risked it all asking for the Red Kings help, feeling that she was trustworthy enough to know the Black Kings identity and not take advantage of that knowledge. Failing and having Brain Burst uninstalled before she ever woke up maybe that would have been better in her opinion upon awaking. Instead, they were the winners and their attacker couldn't remember why they had done what they did, at least not completely which made a perfect insanity plea. Others tried to attack later but between her two protectors, there was no chance.
Shizuka is slightly afraid to stand back up and jump into the Accelerated World again. It makes her worry that her brother meant nothing but she is slowly coming to terms with what happened and the call of that World has slowly started to grip her again after all these years.

Fun Facts:

• Shizuka is mute in the real world. The only way she can speak to another is a wired connection or a Burst Link where her Avatar is in control. It is this reason that Brain Burst is so alluring to her because it gives her a voice.
• Her brother was a twin.
• Her brother was also the one that gave her Brain Burst and never cared about her rising level as he wanted to support her if he couldn't protect her any longer
• Loves the rain
• Actually should need glasses but her Neuro Linker corrects that problem. When she takes it off she must use glasses.
• Mamorimasu(her brother's Guardian the Emerald Shock) is the only person that knows her real identity and that she is still able to be a part of Brain Burst and he has subtly been helping in trying to get her to return.

Side Character Mamorimasu the Emerald Shock is her favorite to try to annoy and wants to rank up fast so she can be a rival to him.

Kikyo is very serious in the real world, almost cold to those around her. She strives for perfection, being top in her class and being an enforcer to the rules which usually causes people to call her cruel things. She pretends that it means nothing but it actually hurts more than she cares to admit. She hates that she was labeled in middle school as this cool person and felt she needed to live up to it but now she feels like she is hiding the real her. She knows she should stop but every one of the little friends she has know her as this and nothing else. She never lets people over or let them see her avatar if she can help it and even then she will use a false name. She just has a desire to get away from it all...
Kikyo is truly a girl that has a love of cute things and is a complete gaming nerd.

Other: Shin is popular among the first and second year girls, handsome, athletic, kind. His avatar reflects all of this as well, he even managed to manipulate the coding to enable a sword as a fashion item, which he tends to show off with from time to time. In school, Shin is in the top three of his kendo club, and is particularly skilled. He is pretty average on the outside, though he keeps to himself when the girls aren't fawning over him. In the world of Brain Burst, Shin is...well, he hasn't been back to the world for six months. When he used to go, he was one of the crowd favorites, and he had started to gain both a small following and the eye of the Blue King that ruled at the time. His disappearance was sudden, and nobody knew why. For now, his Bursting days are over, however that is about to change with a chance encounter with one Chitoge Himenokouji.

Other: Arashi tries his best to convince himself he is a pragmatic who can live just fine without approaching others. Believe me when I tell you, he is not.

Arashi spends lots of time alone, whether it is reading a book or playing a video game in his Neuro-Linker, perhaps simply listening to music too, he seems to love spending time alone. He is seen as a loner by many, and hard to approach due to the fact that he seems to always have a frown in his face.

This is a rule that applies to almost everyone, except to those friends he has made, and will make, inside Brain Burst.

Arashi cherishes every single bond he has with anyone. He wishes to keep them close and support them however he is able to, but that stopped applying for the real world a long time ago.

After his best, and only, friend in elementary school left for another prefecture without saying a word to him, Arashi felt betrayed. Even though they were always together, he had not even thought of saying something to him as he left.

The years passed and Arashi eventually forgot about it, but he kept the subconscious reflex of keeping away from people, even if they reached out to him.

The more time he spent alone, the more he tried to convince himself he wasn't lonely.

Luckily for him, his high scores in fighting games attracted someone to him, who then gave him the installation program for Brain Burst.

With his avatar and fighting skills, he quickly became a powerful warrior of the Purple legion, and, thanks to his already amiable, if suppressed, personality, he was quick to become friends with most of them.

Though his 'Guardian' has long since left the game after an streak of losses that made him lose confidence in himself (not to mention his approaching college entrance exams that did not let him focus), Arashi is still playing the game, though he has lost contact with his guardian. He often wonders if he still has the game or if did he uninstall it.

Other: A girl with a heavy kansai accent and a love for fantasy and sci-fi.

Unlike what most of the people think, that she uses her eyepatch because she suffers of the infamous 'chuunibyo' or 'Middle School Syndrome' that makes people fantasize about having supernatural powers (though she does believe that), she uses an eyepatch because she actually does not have an eye, which makes her lack good depth perception and also makes her slam herself against more than one wall or streetlights while she walks.

There is no violence or such involved in her losing an eye, though. She suffers from Anophthalmia, a rare condition that caused one of her eyes to not form while her mother was pregnant.

Though she has been offered a prosthetic eye before, she always refuses because she firmly believes that the eyepatch looks cooler.

Most people believe that she is a real tomboy, mostly because her accent doesn't let her talk girly (she's tried to get rid of it, really. She's just found it really, really damn hard), but she's actually a hopeless romantic with a deep, deep love for fairy tails.

She actually thinks of herself as being rather childish, what with her room filled with stuffed animals and whatnot.

Her favorite hobby is reading any kind of fiction, and she vastly prefers reading books in their original, hard cover format, instead of the highly popular e-books that many people read in their own Neuro-linkers, though she too is no stranger to reading those if she cannot find a hard cover copy of her favorite, and currently famous, authors.

Lately and after she just entered high school, she's tried her best to keep her delusions to a minimum and has been attending extra Japanese classes to get rid of her accent.

To be honest, she'd like to experience love at least once while she is in high school, she calls it, "The spring of my youth. I'm real look'n forwar' to it, I do."

A chance encounter with Furukawa Shin seems to be about to change the way she looks at the world, though, and make her realize that maybe it really is fiction copying reality.

Dueling Avatar Appearance: (I couldn't find a good image, so I'm going to describe it instead).

The avatar stands at around 5'5, the same height as Keiko herself. The joints and flexible areas of the body are covered in a mouldable dark red armour, whilst the rest is a lighter shade. The helmet is similar to a bikers helmet, with the visor tinted black and stretching from where the mouth should be to half at ding the back of the head. By both hands are holsters, with one containing a pistol for the "Judgement Blow" and the other containing the Enhanced Armament, <Armoury of the Infernal>. On the bottom of the feet, there are small motorised tank treads the can force the feet to swivel, providing movement without actually moving.

Other: I'll split this into different parts, so it's easier to understand.

Brain Burst Bio: Keiko was originally introduced to Brain Burst by a childhood friend and original Red King, Matsuta Oshida (or Red Turret in game). At first, she was skeptical, but after seeing the powers provided, the choice was obvious. The two became close, like a guardian and protégée do, and eventually started dating, both personally and for means of Brain Burst. She helped deal with turf disputes and legion problems, eventually becoming the second in command for the Red Legion, named Synergy by the leader.

However, things became heated between the green and red legions. A player from the green legion had risen themselves to Level 9 and decided to challenge the Red King, whom never turned down a challenge. Somehow, the player managed to convince the king into placing all his points into an illegal death-match card, and the battle began. The battle went on for a while, but somehow the green player managed to come out on top, and Brain Burst was uninstalled from Matsuta forever. Keiko only found out when he didn't remember who she was, or what Brain Burst was.

So, she rose to the position of King, after a slight disturbance in the Legion, swearing to her love that she would do right by him as King of the Red Legion.

Personality: Keiko is a bit of a geek, spending most of her time either alone or in the virtual net, including her own that she designed foyer abc her friends to play in. She was known to be very shy, and normally be found not paying attention in class, but rather testing out her own new features on her Neuro-Linker.

However, that all changed after she received Brain Burst and began dating Matsuta. She became more out going and spent less time holed up in the virtual world coding her own areas within the school net. She even made new friends and improved her grades, entering the top percentile in her year.

A little while afterwards, keiko was approached my a man named Mamorimasu, who asked in her assistance defending the Black King after an accident. She happily obliged, and assisted in defeating the people who came to take the head of the Black King.

Enhanced Armourment: instead of a special move at the beginning, Keiko instead received an Enhanced Armourment, the Armoury of the Infernal. It took the form of a small rectangle with a key pad and finger sensor, but she soon realised that it was much more. Instead, when she placed her avatars finger on the pad and thought of a ranged weapon, the box would morph into it for use. Pistols, machine guns, rifles, snipers, RPGs, you name it, the box could become it. It was an entire armoury in a box.

Name: Yoshiki Kaibara

Ebony Chimera is a 5’11 humanoid robot, with Black armour on the arms, legs, hands and feet, with grey armour on the flexible parts of body. It's hands and feet, instead of having fingers and toes, and instead claws, almost like a reptile. As well, the legs are formed similar to that of a dragon. It's head is normally shaped, but is entirely matte black, with no holes for a mouth, ears and no slots for eyes. It has a large tail, with a sting on the end, similar to a scorpion, but more flexible, being able to move in all directions without hinderance.

Legion?: None yet, but likely the Black Legion when the time comes.

Other: Split into sections for ease.

Personality: Yoshiki is a bit of an odd guy. He has many social ties within school, but tends to stay away from people if he has the chance. He has been known to be enthusiastic at times, but at others he lacks motivation or doesn't do what he is supposed to do properly. Most of the time he is mostly charismatic, but often his language and spoken morality get away from him, saying things that are either offensive, rude, insulting or stupid without realising it. He is kind, and cares for his friends, but more often than not he has a hard time conveying his emotions to people, and is often called emotionless despite being clearly excitable. As well, he tends not to do well in exams and the like, but is surprisingly intelligent for the amount of effort he actually puts into things.

Other Facts:
- Yoshiki requires glasses, and often chooses to wear them instead of using the Neuro-Linkers vision correction.
- He strongly dislikes milk chocolate, but will happily eat it if it is combined with or inside something else.
- His duel avatar does not represent any emotional trauma, but instead his inability to properly display emotions. It is more of a mixture of different features than a single body.
- Yoshiki knows some bits of Sign Language, because his sister had a hard time speaking.
- Has a Neuro-Linker mod that displays information on people when he looks directly at their Neuro-Linker. Such things include their name, age, school/occupation and other similar information, but his Neuro-Linker must have interacted with the other parties before it is displayed. Interactions include messages, emails, social media, virtual worlds, game, etc.

Other: If anyone is to be found spontaneously breaking into song and dance, it is Date. He gets caught up in the excitement of the moment, and wants everyone else to feel that way, too. No other person is as generous with their time and energy as Date when it comes to encouraging others, and no other person does it with such irresistible style. A humorous person, Date loves the spotlight, and all the world is his stage. Dramatic by nature, he loves putting on a show for anyone especially his friends. He chats with a unique and earthy wit, and tires to soak up the attention of everyone around him and make every meeting feel a bit like a party. Utterly social, Date enjoys the simplest things, and there's no greater joy for him than just having fun with a good group of friends.

Though it may not always seem like it, Date knows that it's not all about him – he is as observant as an owl, and very sensitive to others' emotions. He is often the first to help someone out a challenging problem, happily providing emotional support and practical advice. However, if the problem is about him, he is more likely to avoid a conflict altogether than to address it head-on. Date usually loves a little drama and passion, but not so much when he is the focus of the criticisms it can bring.

The biggest challenge Date is facing that he is often so focused on immediate pleasures that he neglects the duties and responsibilities that make those luxuries possible. Complex analysis, repetitive tasks, and matching statistics to real consequences are not easy activities for Date. He'd rather rely on luck or opportunity, or simply ask for help from his existing circle of friends.
