@bloonewbLady Rhaena(?) Baratheon would be a cousin or the current lord's older sister or aunt? She would have been fourty-two, if she had lived. The woman married Daenys Targaryen, and went missing after she bore him a son, a son whom has never been seen since the tourney held in his honor. The current lord of the Vale had bid for her hand in marriage back in the day, and he is still a bit salty at House Baratheon for wedding her to the king's mad brother instead.

@bloonewb

Blue has said something about the Tyrells being on a good friendship with the Baratheons... Also, isn't the ruling seat of the Stormlands from Storm's End, not Dragonstone? That's technically Crownlander territory, and I assume would be held by a Valyrian at the very least, if not a Targaryen or generally a Baratheon of a different line. Also, if there was a rebellion in the Stormlands, I am going to assume that if Garland was told between one very unpopular leader who ought to be a maester, and his competent older sister (unmarried, or not?) to support any side, he'd do the latter, in return for the Stormlands unquestioning loyalty to the Iron Throne. Just marry her to some obscure Baratheon if you had to (hey, Royal Families do this all the time...even now!) and there you are, keeps the line for her, still in childbearing years too.

I would imagine that House Baratheon, basically bordering the Crownlands too, will want a stake in what is going on with the Seven Kingdoms, but from what I see in your post, the Stormlands can barely fucking hold itself together- so an action like I said could tip the balance....or so could a Dornish raid like no other, capitalizing on chaos, which at this point, is actually just as likely. Mind you, I don't see a Tyrell debt to House Baratheon, so who knows really, they might just let them fight it out then side with the winner. Depends how the power play works out. I could definitely see Alerie coming to visit Storm's End at some point, to chat with her female equivalent in House Baratheon, and it would be almost like a house-clean, or at the very least, to get them on side with the actions of the Tyrells. Game of Thronesy shit.

@bluetommy2

Holy fuck. That OST just went perfectly...almost did cry. And so ends the Lannister dynasty for good. Add to that bodycount a whole host of Tyrell guards, and a significant quantity of Tarly and Blackmont men.

I'm going to maybe work away on a post later this evening, though I know that Abefroeman has a post to make before I do, a massive collab we were working on. I may want to do collabs with a whole host of people- I know @Apoalo, yourself Blue, @Kingfisher and maybe even a continued one with @Abefroeman are on the cards...meh, maybe not this evening, but it can be started this evening, also tying in a letter to House Baratheon among others.

Not in the face, not in the face! The Stormlords will still put up a fight, no doubt- they're some of the hardiest Southerners about, they are still not a foe to underestimate. Numbers aren't their advantage, I think resilience is.

@kingkonrad Thanks man! That soundtrack made me cry when Jorah left, and it made me cry when Tyron died.

I doubt the Stormlands will give in without a fight, they are warriors after all.

Since I have nothing better to do, I might as well list the houses that have gone extinct since the times of the show.

House Karstark (Replaced by House Thenn)

House Dondarrion (Died with Beric, replaced by House Slynt)

House Beesbury (Bannerman of the Tyrells, rebelled against Willas due to the fact that they believed that this Aegon was a Blackfyre, all male members killed at the battle of Chittering Ford, last daughter married Harry Strickland, Honeyholt is now a Strickland possession)

House Baelish (Holdings taken by house Arryn)

House Reed (Howland disappeared ((Became the High Sparrow)), Jojen and Meera never returned, holdings given to house Crannogstark, a cadet branch founded by Rickon's second son)

House Tarly's main branch (Dickon and Randyll were slain fighting Lannisters, the lands were given to a cousin)

Houses Blackwood and Bracken (Were on opposite sides of the conflict, when Drogon was released at The Second Field Of Fire, both houses burned indiscriminately, lands held by House Tully)

House Whitehill (All executed for their actions against House Stark, lands given to House Forrester)

House Bolton main branch (Ditto)

House Farwynd (Shared Brandon the Shipwright's fate, travelling west to never return, Lonely Light was abandoned)

House Thenn (Led a revolt against House Stark fifty years after the war ended, Drogon solved it, Karhold shared Harrenhal's fate, Karstark lands now controlled by a new dynasty by the name of Karry)

All houses who controlled Harrenhal (No house has managed to keep Harrenhal, currently an offshoot of House Connigton started by a bastard owns it, under the name of house Woodsworth)

Cadet branches of House Lannister (Houses Lanny, Lann, Linney, and multiple other offshoots of house Lannister were extinguished to prevent an uprising in their name)

House Crakehall of Crakehall (A cadet branch of the Lord Paramounts, House Crakehall of Crakehall died out when the last lord died of an illness, now land is held by their Father dynasty, House Crakehall of Casterly Rock)

House Hightower (Last lord was female, married into house Tyrell)

House Lannister...? (Last member of house killed beyond the wall, but his last words shed doubt on that)

Well, of course they'd put up a fight but... Meh. We'll see what happens. =p All I know is that is where Eliena has her eyes currently since she's making the peace with the Reach last.

House Hightower (Last lord was female, married into house Tyrell)

Yep, hence why there's actually a new house, Hightower-Tyrell. I mean, Loras considers himself a Tyrell, but to appease Lady Hightower, they basically created a new branch, which is actually distinct from the regular Tyrell branch- though. I will say though, there are a hell of a lot of second cousins that still have the Tyrell name that Garland has, Brightwater Keep among others comes to mind. Cool, yep :)

Won't be working on a post now apparently, because of cider. Sorry :(

Write some letters to other Lords and so on (eg to the Tyrells, to the Crakehalls- no doubt the Baratheons have heard the news too)- that was one thing your post was missing a tad, it allows for arrangements to be made to meet, or generally shit to go down, though due to ravens being shoot-able, it's not always the most advisable thing to put really, really critical information into there. Like how many troops exactly, or very specific nefarious details that involve you. At worst case scenario and when you know it's highly likely, and can afford to have it comprimised, Ravenmail is good.

One thing that really does bug me- why would the Tyrells be in debt? That I haven't gotten at all, if it is something I have missed, then yeah...and I would assume that debt isn't dating back to Robert's Rebellion....

I don't really know myself, I just thought it up because I needed a reason to call in some extra knights that the Stormlands don't have. If you don't like it, we could work something else out.

Call Dorne for help... They'll help.... *shifty eyes*

EDIT: Ohhhhhh, it would be pretty darn awesome if the People's Rebellion was due to them following the Lord of Light. =p Sort of like a culture aggression other than military... That's something I can see Eleina doing, making her passes stupidly hard to even look at and then use culture and such to expand her power.

@Apoalo Yeah, that's cool. I'm doing that now. However, I already wrote that at least part of the cause is my character's neglect of the Stormlands. There could be multiple reasons?

Yea, well your neglect is the main reason Eleina would have started it. =p
