Ugh. I tend to go overboard with music. It's kinda lame but that's where I get most of my writing inspiration from. So many stories and characters I've thought about for months at a time over the years but never put into words. SO. That said, I don't have one for Moth. I have so much awesome music but nothing that comes to mind right away for the character that goes with the general feel of the story so far. I'll find something eventually.

The southern half of the city is under a night sky, yes! Everyone has been turned to stone, though, even in the northern half. That one line about pink stones visible in the south only means that the glowing is more visible in the dark.

Yes, everyone within the city is now stone, but those on top of the wall had a better chance to be missed. The plan is that any new players that want to join can do so under the assumption that they were somewhere on or outside the wall when the disaster happened. It's similarly possible that other NPCs survived. The wall is enormously long, though, and it might take a bit for all the survivors to find each other.

Some robots are still functional -- a lot of them have been shorted by the presence of so much electricity, but a mechanic could probably get them running again in no time. The enchanted robots are just fine, though -- most of those are near the queen's tower.

@MokleyExcellent! Thank you for clarifying. Very good plan to include late-bloomers. It almost seems as all/most of the PCs are in the same area; either working on the wall, seeking the HMFIC or sightseeing. I seriously have no idea how this is gonna go down. My PC is noticeably past his prime years, so it seemed a knee jerk reaction was fitting!

If you had asked me two weeks ago to pick a song about a giant walled-in fantasy sci-fi city, I would've gone with this:

Iron Savior - Megatropolis (2.0 Version)

First, I'm a huge power metal fan. I love uplifting, empowering heavy metal, the kind that inspires me and fills me with joyous energy! Second, Iron Savior is my favorite band. Third, I love layered vocals, which they have a lot of! I spend a lot of time listening to their entire discography on repeat.

As for the Grit, maybe something badass and confident:

Battle Beast - Shutdown

Another band I listen to constantly. That woman's voice is freaking insane!

And Moth. Poor, timid, terrified Moth. Everyone sees a weak little accountant, a boy barely become a man, with everything about him pointing to a boring mid-level office job for the next fifty years. But somewhere, deep deep inside, may beat the heart of a lion. Someone desperate for more out of life, a chance to show everyone who he can become when the world cries for a hero. Or he'll just sit in the dark and wait for someone to rescue him. But maybe!

Keldian - Dreamcatcher

Something slightly less forceful, more emotional and spacey and symphonic. A very little-known band, with only two members, who have never toured or even played their music live as far as I know. And yes I have all three of their albums on permanent repeat.

As a track for an after effect recovery I'd probably go with one of my favorites and something I discovered from an RP I joined that sadly never got off the ground.

Myuuji - Disintegrating

I mean technically all of Myuuji's tracks would probably fit a dark near/post-apocalyptic civilization recovery sort of theme.

I think it's mostly because I can't think of any good "holy shit incoming apocalypse" music for my post, to be honest. Plus it's pretty late here. I'll sleep on it and post in the morning.
