Building upon his eight legs emerging from his back weaponry mainly dominated by guns which have been placed on six of the legs and two of which are used to shoot the metal fibers which are also in essense used to either bind or latch onto things to climb them. the metal fiber can be used with the semblance to quickly try and catch the enemy in the small time that they are frozen by it. Its a well though strategy however is prone to failure if there are unexpected circumstances.

Sable's semblance is based around the shadows. More specifically, he has an intimate connections with the shadows of the world. With this, he can use the shadows as a sort of tangible force, wrapping around his opponents and keeping them bound, so that Sable himself could finish them off efficiently. The power of his shadow binds depends solely on his opponent's strength and ferocity. Binding a human, for instance, would require less energy than trying to bind an Ursa, but both can break out with enough persistance and strength.

As a Faunus there had always been abuse in his life, however the fact that he was a Spider Faunus did not help his situation. Faunus and people alike were disgusted by the eight pitch black legs that emerge from his back at any given moment. Being abandoned as a child near a military facility he had grown up training rigorously as a child as he has some potential. Soon after that he had went through surgery to attach several weaponry to the eight spider limbs to further his efficiency. Further his semblance allows him to bind/freeze anyone within his shadow however they have to have eye contact and can only bind the enemy for about 3-8 seconds depending on how strong they are physically and mentally. Due to this he assumes a more stealthy approach that suits his weapon and semblance. He further can climb up anything and is quite versatile due to his Faunus background making his fighting style quite different. To further mimic a spider he can shoot strengthened metal wiring from two of his legs to move around easier.
The military eventually saw his potential at becoming a hunter and with that sent him to the academy through their recommendation making it certain that he would attain a spot. Due to the strict military discipline he follow a strict morale code and keeps secrecy as a habit and as a consequence does not try to socialize.
