I have no idea exactly how to go about this but, I wanna participate in some arena battles, sounds like a good bit of fun, here's the catch, I don't know how, so I guess I'm looking for one of you great arena masters to take me as an apprentice and show me how, that'd be awesome, drop a comment here or PM me. Thanks!

I can help ya' get acclimated a bit. Though I dont really believe in teaching someone to combat rp, I do believe in giving you the tools you'll need to get by and dip your toe in.

I've been role-playing the better part of my life, I do a lot of heavy action so I like to think I don't much need help along the lines of combat typing, more just how to get started, what exactly to do about characters and such, it would be greatly appreciated.

roleplayerguild.com/topics/79678-rpgui..

That's the thread to check out.

Look over some characters, ask your questions, make a real basic character and have the experts there look it over. Once you have a good grasp just ask someone for a friendly spar and dive in.

I guess what I need is a walk through, someone to hold my hand and tell me the steps, cause I can't get there on my own.

New people tend to think the Arena is much more complicated than it is. It isn't. We got you.

Step one. Go to the link and post in the OOC that you are new.

Step two. Post a character sheet to the same spot and ask for advice. Don't worry about format, we will help with that.

Step three. After you've gotten some advice and made some changes to your sheet (If they are needed) throw out a friendly challenge saying that you simply want to learn.

Ignore all the information about ranked matches right now, it isn't important. What's important is getting you a character that you're comfortable with and a few sparring matches under your belt.

I hope that breaks it down a little easier for you. I find that most new people tend to think we are some big secret club or are going to jump on their shit if they do something wrong. Which isn't the case, most people are very friendly and more than willing to hold your hand.

If you need further assistance feel free to send me your character in a PM and I can help you go over it before we turn it over to others for fine tuning.

@AdamantiumWolf There is no universal sheet, however, most people use a variation of below and then edit as they see fit.

Age:
Race:
Gender:
Occupation:
Pseudonyms/nicknames:
Appearance:

History:

-Equipment-
Weapon(s):
