Thank you! Yes it was my first time seeing the ocean as well (:

<Snipped quote by Frizan>

Okay, thank you! That helps a lot. Going back through the posts now, reading in depth.

<Snipped quote by Mortarion>

Thank you! I don't travel too much, but I'm beginning to more frequently. I'm glad to be back, and I really missed all of you guys (: !!

Expect a post sometime later today.

@gcold@Leidenschaft Where would be a good place to burn the dead? I was thinking in front of the Palace of the Kings, or out on the docks?

We're not burning the dead. We're hunkering down for a siege and the wood would be better used for fires and the oil would be better used for lanterns and throwing down the walls. The dead are being buried in either a mass grave, or if they have friends, are being buried by them.

Great to have you back @MacabreFox

Also, are the ships still in the bay?

I also got to see the ocean! I tasted it, which tastes like very salty sweat, and I put my feet in the water, and felt the tide take the sand away, making me sink deeper. Plus I went seashell hunting at high tide, and I found so many shells!! It was a very fun vacation nonetheless (:

There are currently 6 ships docked on the opposite shore of Windhelm. 7 ships blockading and doing Kamaley stuff upstream. They've also seized the other end of the bridge, cutting off access out of the city. Still, several convoys of refugees (including the Khajiit caravan) were able to escape before that happened.

Sounds fun. My first time seeing the sea was so long ago, west coasters like @Leidenschaft and myself tend to take the ocean view for granted.

Most bodies are gonna be burned eventually, which would happen on the docks but not in the immediate future. However, some more esteemed people (or if they have the living advocating for them), might get cremated inside or buried in the Hall of the Dead.

Edit: Confirming with what Schaft said.

The ocean just makes me cold, the only thing I hate more than when summer makes me hot. I kind of miss living in Vegas, just one state of perpetual heat that you honestly get used to. I never used to notice it, even, but then I moved to Washington and I end up cursing the rain and wishing for summer and then when summer comes I just wish it wouldn't be so fucking hot.

I don't like the climate where I live but I like the scenery. I wish it'd just freeze over so I could enjoy it even more.

@gcold@Leidenschaft
Thank you both, this clarifies a lot.

Oh yes, it was very cold indeed, the water that is! Then again, we visited now, in January, than in the summer, so no wonder it was so damned cold. I used to mainly live in the Midwest region, but now I live in the southwest, New Mexico to be exact, and I prefer it much better than the Midwest, it was always so damned humid back there! The only thing I do miss, is the trees, and the grass. But I live next to a mountain, so I get to see plenty of that when I go (:

I've lived in Alberta for 8 years, freezing over was fun the first time around, it gets painful quick afterwards.

Trust me, @Dervish still lives there and he knows.

@gcold Yeah, roof collapsing snow and skin cracking windchill are pretty much the norm around here.

That said, this winter is hella mild. I get to enjoy other people's snowy misfortunes for a change.

Nah, I'm fat enough to handle the cold. I've been to some cold places, and honestly I enjoyed myself.

Post is up.

Leif is going to go check out those books, and Sevine is going to the hall, if anyone wants to start a collab with me for either character.

Leif can join up with the group on the Etherpad collab, and Rhasha'Dar and/or Sylvanis can join Sevine, if you'd like?

Sounds good to me, whose all participating on the Ehterpad? Nvm, just checked it out.

And that's fine if we have Rhasha'Dar and Sylvanis join up with Sevine (: PM or Titanpad for that one?

Titanpad, if you'd like - want to make our own, or just use the RP one? I think it's empty ATM. :)

Sorry about being AWOL friends. Turns out Dairy Queen was a terrible idea and gave me 2 days of crippling stomach pain. I'm almost back to normal, and I'll try to get back in the swing of things shortly.

For Christ's sake Derv! Kidding, but seriously, take it easy on yourself ): does eating Gluten-free foods help at all? I know you have Crohn's, and that people with Celiac's eat that stuff, so I don't know if that'll work. Maybe eating home-made food would be easier on the stomach as well instead of eating processed food? Or is this something that strikes you at random?
