This RP will be based on the anime Death Note, with some twists created by me. There will be multiple characters that all have Death Notes and Shinigami' that either assist them or stand in a neutral place with their human's activities with the death note. I will let applicants create their own character names and Shinigami names but I ask that they be somewhat uncommon names. (Nothing like Bob or Jarrett or anything like that.) Be creative please. There are the main characters but there can also be secondary characters who interact with the main characters and are influenced by their actions with the death note. There will also be government officials that applicants can play such as the detectives that are investigating and trying to find the humans with death notes, the president and the Presidents of other countries that are working with America to try and catch the humans with the death note. This is taking place in America, not Japan like the actual anime. I have not decided what character I will play yet or if I will play one at all, but I will post in OOC with a character sheet if this gets enough interest.

Quite quite interested. My one suggestion would be to scale down the scope of the story line. The original story got international because of Lights ideals and actions. In another hands it would of just been a high-school/city affair. Up to the group but I think having everything focused at a school or small city would be far more interesting and personal.

I know for sure that any char I make will not be interested in wiping the world clear of criminals.

I was thinking on a national scale because the humans with death notes will all be from different parts of the nation but I agree that it shouldn't be any bigger than the US.

So guys I was thinking about changing the basic storyline a little bit because of the whole "Its hard to interact across the nation" thing. I was thinking about doing it in a more small way such as a group of friends find all the Death Notes maybe buried or something more complicated. If anyone has any ideas about how the death notes came to be found, please speak up. This way you guys could all interact with each other instead of just telling your individual stories.

@Alina13 Well the Shinigami could've gotten into a group fight and lost their notes all in one spot, or maybe one Shinigami stole multiple notes from others and dropped them.

@Alina13 For an idea: Players stumble upon a collection of deathnotes in a hidden location (old church, graveyards, tunnels, whateva) left by a group of long dead cultists. Each book is from a different tie period but all strangely have English written in them explaining the rules.

Yes I am in the process of making it. I can only be on here when I have access to a computer, which means only at school so I'm trying to find time to do it and write the rule post and everything like that. I can start making CS templates at home.
