Name> Ruth the banished raider of Thrivenshell
Gender> Male
Age> Unknown
Appearance> Ruth is anything but hard to notice, anything but remarkably distinct and shiver-causing sight. He wears an attire that was very familiar and ordinary to the streets of Thrivenshell, even though what he cloths his skin is just a past remnant of that, it is slowly decaying. His black hat is filled with bulletholes, his shirt ripped at the shoulders, his arms naked to the sandstorms. He wears a massive trench-coat that is perfectly fitted, and wickedly spread with bulletholes and sword slashes. His entire attire is black, with the exception of a red cloth he wraps around his arm.
But what really is distinct about Ruth is probably his face, a person poor in the knowledge of horror and macabre of the Krankton County mythology might mistake it for a mask. It was a mask at some period of time, but the decaying scars and markings on Ruth's neck signifies a much more diabolical nature to his mask. The skull mask embedded itself into the flesh of Ruth's once human face, it is now part of his being. The jaws are fixed, he can't move it any way and the eye-sockets gleam of eternal ember light. Everything about Ruth is gritty and despicable to the human eyes, perhaps not the eyes of the inhabitants of this wild barren part of the world, but they sure get creepy when the sun has fallen down to its place.
History> The town of Thrivenshell did thrive on various sources of income and resources, it is after all named the way it is named for that matter, and one resource Thrivenshell was keen on thriving on was Legends. The Krankton County by nature is a goldmine of Legend and myth, its unusual terrain or placement in the world might be one cause, or perhaps just the amount of atrocities committed in the last 100 years. Of these legends, few of which talk about a dragon nesting up in the Elenor Mountains, comes the most interesting and intimate Legend.
Three Hundred years ago, it was said a father of three who worked as a hired gunslinger made his daily travel to the outskirts of the Krankton region, hunting down escaped outlaws or savage Goblins. This gungslinger was the best in the entire Western Mainland, however he lived a humble life in the old Thriveshell town. He always came home with a grin on his face, and food to feed his family. It all went well for him, until one day the devil came knocking on Thrivenshell's own doors. It is said the devil himself had it with this gunslingers war against his dominion, and had struck a deal with him to spare Thrivenshell of a mighty destruction in exchange for the gunslinger's ability to fight. The gunslinger, looking at his family and fellow townspeople couldn't risk their lives for his own pride, so he took the deal and he regretted it madly.
The devil took the gunslinger's own family, slaughtered them in the main Plaza of the town, hanged their entrails on the windows all around. It was never really clear why the devil chose to do what he did, or why he betrayed the bargain, he is the devil after all. Historians tried to debunk this Legend, some even claiming the Devil was none other then Charle Borgart the Third, a mad serial killer that once escaped the grasps of the gunslinger.
After his family was murdered, the gunslinger of Thrivenshell swore to track down the Devil to his lair and cut his throat and drink his sacrilegious blood. He had the local blacksmith forge him a mask that would hide his identity and cover his shame. The gunslinger, now armed to the teeth and filled with the power of vengeance went after the Devil to the very depths of the Rift. There it is said the Gunslinger of Thrivenshell went and never came back, however sightings of him on his ebony stead trudging the Ethern deserts have been reported in the last twenty years. The Legend of the Gunslinger of Thrivenshell became known all throughout Krankton as Ruth the banished raider of Thrivenshell. Historians traced this legend and were able to pinpoint a name or two, there is two possibilities, one Ruth Armgere, and another Ruth Eastwich. And the two are very much little known, and hence the legend became nothing but a frightening story told to rebellious kids that would dare leave the premises of Thrivenshell at night.
Then, the Apocalypse hit, and with that all the demons and nightmares of Krankton come bursting out of its holes, rifts, and caves. Ruth managed to climb out of the Rift and is now seeking meaning, recovering from his long sleep.
