March 5th, 10:00 p.m. Pacific Time

A helicopter plastered with N.A.I.L.logos had just arrived on the cold and deserted field of the Carson City airport. A few armed police officers along with the Spirit of '64 anxiously waited for it to open its latch and reveal its occupants. After about 30 seconds of waiting for helicopter to kill its engine the latch extended out and the first of the agents poured out.

"Thank God you guys are here!" The police commissioner yelled at them. The agent who came off first approached the commissioner and his group of officers while the agents were unloading supplies behind him.

"Its a pleasure to meet you all." the agents said extending his arm to shake all of the men's hands. "Thank you Sir, the names Commissioner Kellogg and yours is.."
The agent grinned and replied, "The name is Ross, Captain Ross and the crew behind me are my team of N.A.I.L. Agents... I am sure you have heard of us after the Boston Incident."

The commissioner nodded his head and said, " Yep, even out here we have heard of you guys. Now please let me show you around and how desperate our situation is." Captain Ross was glad to follow but before he left he ordered the other Agents to set up a station around the Airport and for one of them to follow him.

The elite N.A.I.L. team stretched their limbs gratefully as the helicopter came in for the landing, moving in perfect unison as the door opened to release them. Each grabbing their own personal gear, the group disembarked from the aircraft and spilled out onto the tarmac where they awaited their commander’s instructions. Before they had arrived, the team had received an initial briefing on the events that had been occurring within the area, but they never took much stock in reports from outside sources. Their job at this scene was to determine the threat level with their own eyes, and to make a judgement call based off that assessment. Until then, the majority of the group was essentially on standby until their particular talents were required. Almost as if to punctuate this point, Captain Ross put the team to work setting up their base camp while calling one agent in particular forward to follow him. A red haired man smirked to himself as he fell back with the rest of the group, watching as the youngest of their group answered the boss’ summons.

Luka, an odd agent donning pale pink hair, fell into step behind the Captain with an expression more blank than serious. Despite her age of only 22, Luka Marsons had already proven her use as a field analyst. She held a natural intuition much higher than the average person’s, even outperforming the machines on occasion. The girl had a knack for finding what didn’t want to be found and had a photographic memory to file all the information away when she didn’t have the assistance of technology. She wasn’t without her faults though, seeing as she was clumsy as all hell, anything but a social butterfly and one of the weakest agents allowed into the field in the history of the N.A.I.L. organization. In her right hand was a briefcase identical to those a few of her teammates had been carrying, though the inside of this case was a little different from the rest of the standard gear. “How can I be of assistance, sir?" She asked flatly. To those who didn’t know her, she probably sounded bored and insincere, however that was anything but the case with Luka.

Back at the airport, the rest of the team was getting to work on setting up their make-shift base. Portable computers, weapons, cases locked with biometric scans so that only the chief could open them… It was a strange collection of stuff, but such was the way of N.A.I.L. and its people. Kyle Shark, the red headed agent with attitude sat with his back against the wall while the rest of the agents set up camp. He spent his time cleaning his prize possession, a long range rifle that looked like it could have been used for sniping if it had any sort of scoped attached. “20 bucks she trips more than once within the first hour.” One of the guys chuckled, not even needing to say Luka’s name for everyone to realize whom he was referring to. Kyle smirked and raised his weapon, aiming it at the wall to test its balance. “Bonus 10 if she faceplants.” He countered pulling the trigger, listening contently to the empty click as the weapon tried to fire an empty shot.

"Oh Luka your coming.... Its not a problem lets go see whats been troubling this side of the country." He said looking at the girl and then walking with the commissioner.

"This Young's man has a lot to answer to. He has killed half of our men in his attack and has destroyed our beautiful city! I really hope you can fix this all." The Commissioner said in a worried tone,"Now lets head to the front lines."

In front of him was a SWAT car ready for their departure inside was 4 heavily armed police personal battered and tired. "Luka can you run something for me? Any info on the history of super villain attacks here?" Ross said stopping before stepping into the SWAT van.

Luka marched behind the men silently, respectfully listening to everything being said. From what she could tell, their current target had considerable strength, however there had been no indication from the report as to whether this strength was physical or something else entirely. To some, that thought might have been hard to grasp, but there were a lot of things N.A.I.L. had to deal with that the world wasn't ready to recognize yet. The young agent was pulled from these thoughts as they approached a SWAT van. Her head perked up as Ross gave her an order, her response relayed in the form of a nod of her head. She slipped into a seat on the other side of the van, her small frame allowing her to fit rather conveniently without taking up too much space.

Placing her case on her lap, she unlatched the box and cracked open the lid and slipped out a metallic band. She latched the band around her head like a crown, blinking a few times to get used to the displays popping up in her vision. Quietly Luka clicked her case shut again and sat back with a blank look on her face. Seeming to stare off into space, Luka ran through the streams of data her bots relayed to her through the cellphones of the people in the car. Surprisingly enough, there were a lot of different reports. Some of them were completely bogus, however just as many could have been considered credible... Oddly enough, Luka didn't recognize any of them as having been reported to N.A.I.L. during the crisis. Exhaling slowly, Luka closed her eyes and removed the band from her head. "Sir, as far as I can tell this town has had minimal exposure to powered criminals. None of the public records make supervillain status, however there have been multiple reports of mysterious crimes being committed. Most were left unsolved, however one has our seal attached... Back from the year 1983. We implemented maximum information lockdown, codename Operation Red Sea. Will you be requiring a refresher on the case sir?" She asked, waiting to put her device away until she was sure she wouldn't need it again.
