You, along with three of your fellow classmates, have been selected to be the salvation of this world. It started exactly one year until the End, a series of increasingly upsetting dreams guiding you through the path of a representative of the human race before its oblivion. The dreams speak of an inevitable destruction of this dimension in order for a new one to take its place, yet still there is still an ounce of hope; should you succeed in convincing the Harbinger of the End that this world is worth saving, life will be healed and made as it once was instead. Will your small group o saviors succeed despite your flaws and your differences? Is humankind even worth saving at all?
Welcome to this unholy mess spurred on by my recent play of Nocturne and my renewed interest in the Persona series! In this rp, we will each be playing a main character out of a group of four teenagers from a non mentioned megalopolis in Japan. Like its inspiration, this roleplay will span one entire game year, where slice of life will mix with action and horror as our heroes fight their and their fellow humans' own self-doubt and guilt taken shadowy form.
I pictured each of us taking an Teenage Archetype and putting a fresh spin to them, so that each character have very different backgrounds and as a result have the broadest range of scenes possible so we don't get stuck in a rut. A lot of things are still in the air, from how they were each chosen in the first place and how the Shadow fighting will occur in this setting, but I am interested in your input and eager to see if my idea pique any interest at all.
