The moment you chuckle heads try to turn Logos into a prince of madness, I activate my Deadman ' s switch and take out your half of the galaxy.

@MuttonhawkWhat are Toun's feelings regarding the free Hain? Will Cherry-Eater's "corruption" cross his mind at all? Would the further corruption of free Hain matter to him?

@The Omnipotent SphereThe Hain's god has literally failed them. Is Belru going to make a deal with some of them? -- How'd she respond to the Adversary's deals?

EDIT:
The color of a flower has no impact on its survival.

Wh-what? Isn't the whole point of colour to attract animals that might help it reproduce, or something?

Can I have some creative freedom please!

But as official explination, Reathos sees the world rather bleak as you may imagine. He also doesn't fully 'understand' the cycle and each little detail. Though publicly he will claim he does. Maybe he could be proven wrong. But as of now he is bend on the preservation of the last part of the cycle. And a flower, if it's red or yellow, dies when winter comes.

@Legion02 Unless its a badass flower like the snowbell

And mate, you made me even hungrier for a good old fashioned extinction. It doesn't have to be a permian tier almost annihilation of all life, but it would be hilarious to see a "Dinosaurs into Chickens" situation with the Heraktati.

Gotta remember old Zephyr to make those tectonic plates so we can get the volcanoes going.

I stand corrected.

Also, if you want Reathos to mass annihilate Galbar, you just need to do 2 very important things:
1. Show that Slough's life is too naturally flawed, and life must start over again
2. Show the the Hain, despite being sentient, have no place in Fate's plan. Thus they must be removed.

Give arguments for both things, and you will have yourself a very angry Death God willing to sweep life from Galbar.

I was up to it before sentient life, now its too late, will still talk with Zeph about tectonics. But no Siberian Traps or Atlantic Ridge will be proposed.

Though maybe Ilunabar (once she gets over her fear of death gods) could propose a few games to Reathos like "Bring this species from one side to another and lets see which ones will survive" or "Lets make this one bigger and see if it can overtake the current predato" or even "Lets block this river and see how the creatures of this region will react"

I had some thoughts regarding that, but I hadn't really ironed them out yet. As for the Adversary, she never felt the need to have a monopoly so whoever wants to make a deal is free to without arising her ire.

Edit: I'm still finish up my post, I'm just a little stuck in the last half.

The problem here is that every time Reathos will ask: Why? Is it fated? Is it part of the cycle? But maybe Illunabar may dare to 'invent' a little story about her and Fate...

Toun would probably be miffed, though not because of any perceived care for the free hain. He just doesn't like corruption in general seeping into the world. You can bet that Toun would actively work against Cherry-Eater if he became prominent enough.

To Toun, the free hain are basically on par with Slough's other creations now. It's just that they also make him irked as they are a reminder of one of his failures. He hasn't forged a connection with them such that he would be immediately aware of any corruption anyway.

If you started messing with slave hain, Toun would be pissed because he sees them as his tools.

Why would a God need slaves, though? Unless they're planning on forcing them to build a pyramid while they watch and laugh at their petty struggles, I don't see why having a mortal workforce is even necessary for a being of such power and ability.

Presumably a ton of slaves working the sweatshops would be ideal for the next time Toun decides to build two billion porcelain giants

Because Gods are lazy and egotistical.

Perhaps you've the Enuma Elish? Mesopotamian gods are like the epitome of lazy and egotistical. The mythos states they destroyed civilization with a storm because humanity, having been created to do the work the gods didn't want to do, made too much noise in their work and disturbed the sleeping gods.

That sounds worth researching. Despite my previous statement, I'm a fan of ancient mythology.

Because enough slaves means that there will be times where might is saved on big tasks. That five tribe population isn't going to remain stagnant.

Plus, if mortals aren't required for anything, why bother dealing with them in the first place? I could powergame an optimised might budget and bide time until powerful enough to wipe the floor with everything, but that's kind of bland, even for Toun.

@Fabulous Knight, I see that in no time at all you've already had the Hain advance from newborn creations to a full-fledged tribal society. This is a time skip thing, and that's fair since time is pretty flexible in this stage of the game, although I had been hoping to have Teknall teach them some basic crafting things, as that's his thing.

When I eventually get around to doing that, could we say I did that before they formed societies and stuff? Include it retrospectively?

I kind of started the hain at very baseline stone age tribal societies. I doubt you will have a shortage of things to teach them.

@BBeastSure, although I went with @Muttonhawk's mentioning of spears and huts. I don't have any problem with you retroactively giving that to them.

I kind of thought they'd instantaneously form societies, though. Like how they cling together when they're transported away into their own separate parts of the world.

An idea- If we let the races develop a little before the Friday Night Mass Culling Event, then they'll be developing in a very literal post-Armageddon world. It'll add a lot of flavour to their mythology (i.e. how they view and try to understand the gods based on their actions) and add a bit of that delicious apocalyptic survival theme.

@Double CapybaraIt's true, a goddess of beauty is likely to take on that role.

But I don't know, I think beauty of the flesh is more their deal.

That's right.

Jvan is the goddess of hookers.
