3 months have passed since a mysterious plague swept across the globe, wiping out 98% of the world's population. Society has fallen, and the dead have risen. In the north-eastern region of the United States, we find a group of travelling survivors who trudge forward, surviving strictly on a day-to-day basis.

David Greene (29) Ex-Marine from Warrick who took a legful of Shrapnel in Afghanistan 4 years ago, suffers from PTSD and has trouble connecting to people, leading to his reputation as a paranoid shut-in prior to the outbreak.
Bryan Jeffries (57) Greyhound bus driver from Florida. Decided the best way to use his talents was to drive up and down the east coast, pickin up survivors who needed a ride, or were just lookin for a place to call home. One of the group's co-leaders.
Carrie Jones (32) Co-Leader. Police officer from Warrick.
Shawn Tucker (26) Farm boy who lived outside Philly, separated from his family, showed up with his girlfriend looking for refuge with the group, his knowledge of the city made their supply runs go easier.
Drew Hester (18) Part of the Warrick group. Trained how to shoot with David
Lilly Colburn (27) An outdoorsy girl who was camping with friends during the initial week of the outbreak. They linked up with Bryan's convoy about 3 days after Andrew and the Warrick survivors joined. Helps manage the group's supplies
Jim Haynes (42) A carpenter by trade who also spent time in the past as a mechanic. He uses his skills wherever they may be needed.
Peter Roberts (35) Forensics Scientist from Philadelphia. He set himself up in his old lab to study the zombies. Set up traps to protect himself and kept an empty pistol handy to ward off scavengers. Discovered by the group on a supply run one week ago.
Anna Lambe (29) A tough-acting woman who survived with her brother and boyfriend, as well as her niece, before joining the group. Anna was forced to kill her boyfriend after he murdered her brother during a fight. David and some other scavengers found her and Jenny brought them both back to the group.
Jenny Acton (12) Anna's niece. Shy and quiet girl, traumatized by her experiences
Melanie Cooper (19) A natural athlete who puts her skills to use as a scavenger.
Jeremy Cooper (19) Melanie's twin brother. Extremely competitive.
Mike Newman (43) Role- Mechanic from Florida. One of Bryan's oldest friends. Primary caretaker of "Maybelle" Recently struck up a relationship with Cindy Drake.

Bryan Jeffries was looking forward to finally being able to retire and spend his golden years with his wife at their beautiful home in Fort Lauderdale. Unfortunately, it seems as though the universe really didn't want him to stop driving. Mere months after he handed in his keys, the end of the world came about, Bryan's wife was one of the first in their community who came down with this mysterious infection. He was forced to put her down, and after a time of mourning, came to the decision to get back out in the world. He and his few surviving friends and neighbors piled aboard his old bus, the "Maybelle", and set out for a new place called home. Over the past 10 weeks, they have travelled up and down the east coast, their numbers changing constantly, either due to losing people to the undead, or someone just finding a place they need to be. Their travels have been temporarily sidelined by some engine troubles, and the group has taken refuge in a secured train yard on the outskirts of Philadelphia...
