Oh yeah, Halftooth and crazy cap guy; I think Aro has quite a lot of techniques compared to his peers, but it makes sense for someone trained in such a different age to have a little more skill and jutsu under their belt, while talking plenty of time to getting readjusting to the world.
On that subject, I am considering changing how long since he Captain America'd; so he might've been thawed only, say, a year or six months.

@Halvtand Ok, we'll say that he learned the technique on the scroll practicing with Hiroshi, only the 2 of them. And about the temp. control, I'll say that it doesn't effect any kind of water except the one produced by his jutsus. Seem fair? Now I can't throw someone in the lake and freeze/boil the sh*t out of them XD(or just freeze/boil their blood...) And the temp. can be controlled by the user at the start of the jutsu and every time he gets into contact with his water/steam/ice he can change it.***If it is a small amount of water(glass size) he can change it's temp from longer ranges(some feet away)*** And needless to say the more water he changes the temp. of the more chakra he uses. he So where does this technique classify? (E/D/C/B etc.)
Edit: I could remove the ice/steam part if it seems too op and make it hellishly hot and ...hellishly cold?(you know, many people view hell with different properties)

Sorry for not dealing with you earlier, it has been a hectic day.
I think this is very reasonable. I would like it if you removed ice and steam as "forms" or whatever, as that is pretty firmly KG-territory. But throwing 0 or 100 degree (c) water on someone will cause panic and chaos enough I think :)
Classification on a technique like this is a bitch, but I think I'd like to put it down for C or B as it is quite lethal if used right. Of course most of the deadliness depends on which technique it is used with... What do you think?

Too late for a seasoned Naruto-Vet to jump in and get accepted?

Also, feedback:

Renendo (Renegeedo) is based on the Japanese word for Renegade.

Regarding his Backstory; You're right. I should clarify that the reason he didn't return to Konoha is because the village is just too different, it's too painful for him. He and the Yuki he fought fought in the mountains surrounding what would become Gobi, but, you are correct that I might've gotten my geography wrong. He would feel responsible for the village as they not only thawed him out, but also nursed him back to health, and all of his old roots are either dead or have forgotten about him.

You mention people leaving everything behind. Aro did that, except unlike everyone else, it wasn't just distance, but time that took his life away from him. He's looking for a second chance, from a unique perspective.

I'd argue that his experience and understanding of the world puts him at an equal disadvantage. He was frozen at the start of the first world war, and he was thawed out after the second world war, essentially in modern times. He has to unlearn everything he ever learned - he's not near the same caliber of strength as the other shinobi of his age we've seen, such as Hashirama and Madara. He knows nothing about ninja politics and the concept of shinobi being warriors for hire, instead of warriors of principle is completely foreign to him.

I mentioned the chakra control techniques being taught later due to not being necessary for him to learn. They are difficult to learn, especially for someone with poor chakra control, and while he might've known about them before he was frozen, it was a bigger issue for him to learn how to spew fire and use a sword. Because that was what would keep him alive. But now, in a relaxed village like Gobi, where danger isn't imminent all the time, he has the time to hone the modern common jutsu.

However, I might alter the timeline and make him recently thawed out to give him an even smaller understanding of the current world, as well as miss-remembering how powerful he is, being frozen for so long weakened his entire body.

His Jutsu-List is comprised of B-rank jutsu. Great Fire Annihilation is a B-rank technique, and I assume so is the other one, as it's just the opposite of GFA. It's strength came from being used by Madara. Aro offers small chakra reserves and poor chakra control, toppled onto his weakened physical strength, trauma and overall discord with the world and I personally sincerly doubt he's stronger than anyone else of Chunnin-quality. He could probably beat Sasuke during the Sasuke Vs. Haku fight, but our favorite ( Or least favorite) Emo would beat Aro's ass without breaking a sweat by the time he fought Gaara.

Aro was not made for another game, though, the concept of a shinobi frozen in time is something I've used previously. Though, from a completely different time to another, and through different means.

Though, if none of the solutions I mentioned previously would work out, I'm not against shortening his experience before being frozen to only a few years, so it's still reasonable for the age he was born in.

Also, Sharingan would be far from powerful. I'd have no ambitions what so ever got give him a MS, and since predicting your opponents moves never works out in an RP, I wouldn't use that ability, either. In short, it would be used for seeing chakra and casting genjutsu. But overall as a plot element for him. In fact, only his right eye could even see chakra, his left only carries faster reaction time, due to it's immature state. In short, Sharingan is in every way worse than the Byakugan, as far as Roleplays go. I'd even argue that in the show the Byakugan was more powerful than the average Sharingan.

I do believe I am done with my character. Let me know if there is any inconsistencies or if anything seems wrong. That goes for all of you; I want to hear what you all have to say about her.
Also, I have made a deal with Halvtand that if I don't fall in love with this character over the first few posts (I'm thinking somewhere between 5-10), I'll scrap her and go back to my Haruka. This is mostly because I can't really play a character I'm not in love with and I'd eventually stop posting and kill this whole darn roleplay singlehandedly - I've done it before >.>

@Halvtand I didn't rewrite the Background. I'm going to let it suck. I just don't feel like I could do a whole much better even if I tried, so I'm not going to waste my energy on trying. I'd rather save it for some amazing posts so that I can fall totally and deeply in love with my little puritan. The babies would be so adorable.

Renegeedo is the Japanese way of saying the English word Renegade.
They basically just ad "o" to the end of a word when speaking an English word in the middle of a Japanese sentence.
The Japanese word for renegade is Haikyou. Even Ronin is more appropriate for the setting.

Renendo is a Spanish last name. And a town, I believe.

Halvtand is refining the rest of our discussion about your character, so he'll post that when he's ready.

Fair enough, I used a Romaji site to translate the name. I don't particularly care about the name, he just couldn't go with Uchiha anymore, haha.

Edit: I misinterpreted what Halvtand said regarding the Today part. I took it as a "Leaving everything behind for Gobi" Not "Leaving everything behind in Gobi before heading out into the world" So I should probably give a response to that, too.
I imagine if Aro had been thawed for, say, one year, most of which was spent rehabilitating and taking a quick travel to Konoha, before returning to continue his rehabilitation, he hasn't really seen anything of the new world. The village is all he's come to know, and really all he's safe in. Again, to bring it back to Captain America references - There was a reason that Shield kept him in a simulated 1940's. Aro never got that luxury of a soft welcoming back into the world, he has no safety net and the only place he feels like he can be safe in, the only place he knows is Gobi, as Konoha, not to mention any of the other villages are all too foreign to him, too changed.

It's great to get more insight into the inner workings of the character, small details like that makes a big difference. Still, I can't really see it. No, it's not that I don't see it, I just think that this needs more weight.
I mean, the character was born in a time of chaos, only the other clansmen could be trusted. Then he witnessed the biggest change in recent history (forming the villages) and went to war with his new allies to defend their new home.
Frozen, waiting... Thawed, comes back, sees that everyone he once knew is dead... And leaves?
I mean, he fought for this, he saw the negotiations with the Senju for it, he helped build it, he went to an organized war with an old enemy as an ally to defend it.
It is the one place that he would be connected to the strongest, despite the change of time, and yet he decides to go live in a dump up north where he was nursed for a while? I mean, why? Why would Gobi feel more alike a home than the village he risked his life for? This should be a huge thing!

For one, I think you're looking a little too much into the inner workings of characters, their motivations were never that well explained in the source material, and to me, losing everyone you ever loved seems like a pretty reasonable explanation for why you would choose to leave it all behind. However, I am a fan of liking to at least imagine we, as fans can create more 3dimensional characters than the Shounin source, and as such, I've thought about what reasons he could have.

For one, he was born and raised in a feudal age, where savagery and cruelty were the norm - he was barely met with kindness from his fellow Uchiha, since the Senju were so strict on each other, and I doubt the Uchiha were any nicer, given their curse of Hatred and what not. Hashirama had an easy going spirit, unlike his peers, and I'm looking to produce a very shounen character in Aro. Someone who, while he won't goof of is still prone to not being too edgy.

So, to bring it back. Why would he leave the village he found after being thawed out, in favor of Gobi? They took him in, nursed him back to health and showed him the kind of unconditioned care that he had never felt. His parents and fellow Uchiha respected him, but they treated him, themselves and everyone else like weapons, because they had to. They would have pushed Aro further with everyday, and Aro was a mediocre shinobi, on his best days, so he didn't get any praise for anything he would have done. If he was 16 when he was frozen, he hadn't done anything more remarkable than being your average foot soldier. I in fact doubt he's ever even killed up to this point - so, it stands to reason that the kind of care he would've met in the modern age, especially in a village like Gobi would warm his heart, the kind of warmth he had never felt.

Leaving stuff behind.
Yes, this character did that, and that is actually part of the problem. He has already cut all the ties with his old world. Everyone is dead, new people live in his house, he's gone up north. He's not tied to Gobi, he wasn't born there, he has no fond childhood memories of the place. The house he stays in might be a hotel, not the house his parents built.
When he leaves he might think "Yeah, that was that village, time to go." He won't be scared, he was/is a proven warrior.
What I'm trying to say is that this isn't you average Naruto-game where it's all about kicking ass in the most spectacular way possible. We want some real drama here, and having characters that are connected in the trauma of leaving everything behind means that they will have things to talk, cry and laugh about that everyone knows about. This character is on a whole other level. When the others are talking about life back in the village he'll have very little to add because he didn't live there. When he talks about his trauma the others won't be able to comprehend it because they've never been close to anything like it. Even after leaving the village they are still connected to each other. It's apples and oranges.

Like I brought up previously - the kindness and sense of caring he would have receieved in Gobi would have changed his world. Though, to anchor himself further in the village, I could make give him a girlfriend or something of the sort. Young people in love do crazy things.

The idea behind him is to tell a different perspective, to be able to broaden the horizons of the others who have been sheltered all of their lives, and yet broaden his own, make him realize that he himself too, have been sheltered. He never did experience real love, human contact or a real childhood as a kid. He was busy training and worrying about his loved ones getting killed.

He has to unlearn everything he ever learned.
I'm not sure what you meant to say with this, but I'll try to sort it out.
Just to be clear, after the villages were formed the world hasn't changed a whole lot.
Sure, specifics have changed. Specific people, alliances, techniques, events, buildings, training practices, rituals... Yeah, it was a while ago, things change. But the core principles does not.
He has seen real ninja v ninja battle. He knows what it is like to have an enemy for a neighbour that you need to befriend and keep secrets from. He knows what kind of a place a real hidden village is. Just the fact that he has spent that kind of time out in the world has given him a kind of confidence and resolve that the rest of the cast lacks.

Well, you just did mention that everything has changed. This is almost the modern age - Kakashi is an ANBU and Minato is on the fast track to becoming Hokage with Kushina happily married, Naruto is about to be born and the world is already a much softer, warmer and more loving place. Naruto couldn't convince Madara to change his ways, where as he could convince Zabuza and Negato. Madara wasn't more evil than either of them, he was just born under harsher circumstances. I'm getting sidetracked, anyway.

Aro would have spent the first few years in Gobi getting used to not constantly being in danger, not having to sleep with a kunai under his pillow, he wouldn't have to worry about getting invaded or assaulted. To learn to be a civilian, or well - almost a civilian, anyway would be tough and would take time. Like I said, he too have been sheltered, just in barbed wire and not in a blanket like the others.

Now, let's say he's spent three years adjusting to life in Gobi, constantly rehabilitating and getting used to not worrying about his mailman stabbing him. And then he's told that he should leave the life he's come to known, that he's gonna put behind the safety of the world he's built - that once again he should leave his life behind and venture into a dangerous world.

It would either break him, or give him completely new motivations. A greater sense of purpose than to survive, to not just fight for himself and the shinobi beside him but something to truly fight for.

Chakra control.
Yes the world was a different place back then with other priorities. I just thought it was strange that he'd learned B-rank techniques (let's face it, B-rank is starting to get pretty advanced) before he'd learned to utilize proper chakra control. It seemed like he was doing it the wrong way around. Me and hat talked about this one for a while and eventually agreed to disagree because we both had valid points from different perspectives. Mine would be that this is "backwards", but hey, if it works...

I agree it's a bit backwards, but, I don't think they were taught the replacement technique or the Bunshin technique, either. They were mass-trained in the bare minimum to go into combat. Aro's B ranks were probably taught to him by his seniors, and honed with experience. He was young, not a war hero. He would've delivered messages back and forth outposts and avoided combat as often as possible - sans his fight with the Yuki after the formation of the ninja village. But that was truly his first real fight, and that's why his Sharingan activated so late in a very combat-oriented life.

Thawed out more recently.
Yeah, that would actually make it worse. That would mean that you're even less connected to Gobi.

Fair enough.

Being frozen earlier (in life).
That would actually be at least a step in the right direction as it would remove some of his experience fighting and interacting with the world. But I would actually like to see him thawed earlier as well to give him the chance to really connect to and feel at home in Gobi so that he can feel the same thing that the others will when they leave.

I agree that he should have been frozen a little earlier. Probably at 15 instead of 17. Making him have spent four or five years in Gobi, that's plenty of time to put down roots.

Sharingan.
Yeah, it's the elephant in the room. Might as well go through with it.
I see that you realise what kind of hassle the Sharingan can be in RPs. It's simply a bag of great stuff that you can get for free, and with a little work and a lot of talent you can basically become the Highlander. I mean, just look at the wiki page.

But in order to asses the situation properly I have to ask... What is your intention with the sharingan? I mean, you have a pretty great character concept even without it.

The wiki isn't particularly accurate with what the Sharingan can truly do, though. As I previously mentioned, casting genjutsu on the opponent to foresee their moves is godmodding and would not be done in any capacity in the RP. Used to see chakra, enhance his reaction time and the ability to learn from his opponents.

And I'm not talking copying techniques - his sharingan is not mature enough for that, anyway. I mean like learning body language and picking up on small details. However, it's key use is a plot devise. To drive his character arc forward, either by revealing his bloodline to the other players, to engage with other Uchiha, or people who knew of the Uchiha, and to simply really push on his lack of stamina in a fight.

And, of course, his sharingan is not fully mature, his left eye is still in it's worst level, and I don't plan on changing that anytime soon, but keeping it in my back pocket as a power-up down the line, whenever everyone else gets theirs. It's a shounen after all, power levels will rise, just not at a as ridiculous rate as the Manga, I assume.

Also, while writing this, I do agree that I should alter the time he spent frozen and alter a few of his background elements to better fit into Gobi, something along the lines of what I was talking about above.

@Hillan
Great post, you've given me a lot to think about and quite frankly I have to say that I agree on multiple accounts after my first reading.

Why he didn't stay in Konoha.
I buy this reasoning. This is exactly the kind of reasoning I was after when I started to poke you about it. It's great to see what the plan behind this was.

The Hat has made me aware of one thing though, and I think that the best way to deal with it is to simply be honest.

Whenever I get an Uchiha/Sharingan-user in my games I get suspicious.

That's the long and the short of it. It's not personal on any level, I've just seen the Sharingan being misused/powergamed too much, and as a GM who wants to be serious and tell a story it's quite frankly depressing to have a player go for ultimate power and not giving a crap about the story. It has happened too many times. This is why I've been poking you about stuff, I want to see if you're really serious with your choice of character(and the stuff that comes with it).

Don't worry! I've experienced plenty of other people who have had the same mindset, I'm one of them, a lot of people think that every sharingan is a new Madara / Sasuke, while the truth is that most Uchiha didn't even get it, and only the ones in the show got the Mangekyo.

The thing that made Hat's radar go off is two lines in your reply to this.
"However, I am a fan of liking to at least imagine we, as fans can create more 3dimensional characters than the Shounin source" and "I'm looking to produce a very shounen character in Aro."
They do seem to contradict each other, which sucks because I believe that the level of insight you've provided means that you are a serious player and want to make this work. This might all be a wording-thing. I get it, I'm a second language English-user and words are hard sometimes even for natives.

Definately a wording error, or rather I mispoke. I think we can make characters that aren't limited by the fact that they are shounen characters - but still make them fit into the world of the source material. If that makes any sense to you. Me writing my response at 5 AM probably didn't help make my message clear, either.

Telling a different story.
I get the different perspective. It's original and a great concept. I think it's very creative and all that.
I'm just afraid that since the character is not on the same page as the others he might get alienated for it. I think I've stated all the arguments I can and if you still think it's a good idea then I can only wish you good luck with it.

I don't think it will be too much of a problem, I'll find reasons for him to relate with plenty of leverage.

Though, if I do go with making him Thaw earlier, he would have a lot less weaknesses from his time being frozen. That doesn't mean he'd have none of them, just fewer. I really do like the idea of him having shivers and scars, as well as still somewhat deformed muscles. If only just because he hasn't exerted himself fully since he got thawed, there's been no need to.

Anyway, in conclusion, I should alter the backstory and fit in more reasons for him to have roots, make him get frozen a little earlier in life, and thereby thawed earlier. And to more firmly anchor him in Gobi, really put focus on the parts that makes him feel at safe and at home in the village. Anything else I forget amidst the walls of text?

Also, I assume you're Swedish, just like me, due to your name.

Happy Easter to everyone, by the way.
