I'm The Girl In Yellow. I don't know how it started, but I wear yellow everyday. I have for about two years. Yellow is my favorite color and it just makes me happy when I wear it. I love all colors, but yellow just gives me such a happy feeling- so why not always wear what makes me happiest.

I have Autism. Which is a very complex idea to explain. It affects every part of my life. There is no Girl In Yellow without Autism. I have a hard time reading body language, tone of voice, subtly, and figure of speech. Which means romance, and all that mush gushy stuff, is a weak point of mine.

I also don't have a sense of smell and I'm a twin. People seem to be really curious about those topics and find those topics really interesting about me. I'm a really open person if you have any questions.

When it comes to roleplaying. I've been doing it for a long while. I love historical fiction. I tend to stick to girl characters as my main characters, but I have some side characters who are guys. I love to write. Although the stuff I write can be strange. I write Eulogies for the people I know. I have a strong feeling towards leaving nothing unsaid. So I write Eulogies that I will one day read at a funeral and give them to that person. Why wait until someone can't hear you speak to say something nice about them?
I also have a bunch of entries called Just A Thought. When I have a thought that I find interesting and want to dig deeper- I write it down. Sometimes I will go back through and share it with friends or family.
I also love books, so I write found poems when I find some quotes that strike me.

Well that's it

Consider me curious. I've heard people lose their smell in the short years before they're about to die. Or maybe you accidentally cut your poor twin in half and you went smell-blind out of grief.

That's a reference. If you don't get it, then you'll have to take my word that it's hilarious.

You'll find there are in fact quite a few writers with autism here. My very dear friend has it, and it's interesting when he tells me about his character process, the limits of what he feels he's capable of. He's told me a lot about a particular character, as well as areas he avoids venturing into for lack of understanding. With any luck, you'll be able to grow as a writer here.

I find the eulogies bit very touching, actually. That's rather unique. On the thought of Just A Thought, have you considered writing vignettes? They might be fun for you.

Welcome to the forum, hope you find what you're looking for here. What are your favorite genres?

I have the memory of smell, which means I had smell at some point. Although it doesn't always match up correctly. I remember the smell of grass and cookies. My sister will tell me there are cookies baking in the oven and I'll smell them and get excited. And then she'll be like "Nope, I lied." or I'll have something BBQ on my plate and see the grill marks and smell something burning.
I mean, it's not completely absent either. Strong smells, or if I shoved something up my nose- I can smell. But it's pretty much non-existent. My mom did some research and found out there were cases of Autism where people would loose their smell because it over whelmed them. When their body thought they could cope with it, their sense of smell would come back. So maybe it's that. I'm asked if it affects the taste of food. It might, but I wouldn't be able to tell... would I? I do sneeze a lot, I think it's because I can't smell. So if a smell is bad. I don't know to not breathe it in.

I didn't eat my twin, I only sucked her blood. I broke her umbilical cord or something like that and stole all her nutrients, but mostly blood. That's when I became a vampire. (She's alive and fine just to be clear on that.)

I do write vignettes, but not that often.

Favorite Genres for roleplay? Historical Fiction.

I've heard of cases of people with Asperger's (though from what I hear, Asperger's has been renamed to simply 'high functioning autism' [which is good because that name's pronunciation was just terrible]) being unable to feel the cold. Perhaps you'll get it back when you're older. Until then, it probably is affecting your sense of taste. On that note, I've heard people with no sense of smell have a strong preference for spicier foods, because food is often otherwise bland.

The sneezing could just be allergies though. Dust or pollen or dry air, who knows.

That is a very graphic story about your twin. Fraternal, I'm guessing?

If you enjoy historical fiction, I'll direct your attention to Nation RPs. The genre is far beyond me, but sometimes I read over them because every post is so vastly detailed. You do, in fact, play a nation. It's like a freeform game of Risk. A lot of them take place in themed worlds like 1800s or futuristic or one of them had to do with ancient lost civilizations like the Mayans or the Rapa Nui people.

I'm more for low fantasy myself, though I'll dabble in near-futuristic dystopia or far-futuristic cyberpunk for funsies. Perhaps we'll run into each other in the wild, if our tastes ever converge.
