There's really only two niches I'm looking for at the moment, merely because that is where my interest lies outside of the other RPs I'm already doing. The two ideas I have are laid out below, I'm more than happy to expand on them and I have equal interest in each. There is no requirement as far as your character goes, but there are a few rules.
1. Advanced RP only please, several paragraphs that advance the story is a must so internal monologues should be kept to a minimum. This includes fluff that would be deemed unnecessary. 2. 18 years or older is a requirement. While any 'erotic' RP would be kept to PMs I do tend to get rather violent and graphic in my posts when the story calls for it, and my language can be quite colorful. 3. It's not required to post as soon as I do, within a week of the last post suffices. 4. Grammar and spelling are important, but I do understand that one or two little things slip through here and there, human fingers are terrible appendages. I'm not perfect either! 5. Have fun! I have nearly no rules as far as consent goes. The more twists and turns the better!
Located on the coast of South Carolina this sleepy little town is a getaway for those that actually know it exists on the map. There are no signs pointing to Shivering Bay from the highways and backcountry roads, most directions having to be drawn on a local map to anyone trying to find it. From the ocean it looks like just another fishing town, getting by with what the citizens catch from the depths. But in reality it's so much more.
The known world is filled with modernized magic; cafes using fairy dust to add more pep to coffee and construction companies hiring werewolves to demolish old buildings just to name a few. Much of the day-to-day magic is minimal and used in constructive ways, many in the population forgetting the great powers of old. But in Shivering Bay those that prefer the ways of their ancestors take shelter, growing their powers and practicing their magic as if they anticipated the global peace to snap at any moment.
The air changed in Shivering Bay the day a stranger arrived, observed closely like any other visitor would be. What was found most unsettling was that he had no distinguishing characteristics to define his species, nor did he seek out work yet he rented the most expensive house on the beach without sweating the price. A nosey clerk at the mayor's office dug into the rental papers, finding the name Abel Revnik, which turned up nothing in any other database.
Who is this Abel Revnik? Why are the usually peaceful but cautious people of Shivering Bay starting to act strange?
(Story is open to nearly all fantasy species and any gender.)
The year is 713 AF, or After the Fall, and Earth is not what it was. The Fall was a freak cosmic event when Erister's Comet came so close to Earth that the gravity pulled massive shards of ice and rock half the size of the Moon to the surface. Humanity struggled to survive the aftermath, the first phase being genocide from the impacts, the second phase being the melting. The end result was the world being completely submerged underwater with various floating islands made of space rock.
From these wandering rocks humanity rose up, securing a new future by using the one silver lining that came with such catastrophe. New materials were mined from the smaller uninhabitable rocks which created stronger but lighter metals and energy crystals that could power a city for eons, all of which advanced Humanity further than any could expect. Within just centuries the world had gone from the second dark ages to towering skyscrapers on stabilized islands.
Not all were fortunate enough to ride the 'Comet Rush' as many refer to it as, much like the Gold Rush of the ancient United Stats. Most were left in the slums of the original structures underneath the cleaner upper districts, clamoring to make a living which barely got them by. Atop it all the rich get richer off the labor of the ones below, enjoying their life of luxury.
But tensions are rising in the most prominent city called The Drift, the voices of civil unrest are growing louder.
(Story is open to all classes and any gender.)
If there's interest from several people for either idea, or both, I'm more than happy to set something up for a small group. I just didn't want to go that far yet only because I'm so new to the guild.
