Well, the T-shirt does mention rum specifically. But I for instance like whisky more than rum. And I don't think the type of drink should matter that much. :P

It's vital to determine what sort of person you are, though!

As you might have noticed, Sanguine is someone who worries a lot. I think it can make for a nice dynamic between the two. Sanguine thinking about all kinds of 'what ifs' and planning ahead. While Oliver takes things as they go, keeping her from turning paranoid. :P

Well, I can't deny that I started taking life more in stride once I started smoking. xD Not sure how much of a correlation there is, but still.

I also recall you telling me you thought weed smelled like skunk or something. Or was that someone else? So I don't think I'd see you smoke that anyway? :P

That must have been someone else. I don't think I've ever provided commentary on the variety of marijuana smells I've encountered...

Huh...ah well. Yay being able to smoke. ;) Plus being able to grow enough of my own that it cuts my weed costs to 1/5 of what it otherwise would be. :P

Sounds decent. I am waiting to see what happens if our retarded child of a PM actually goes through with legalizing weed.

Most likely: There will be a huge surge in people buying/smoking weed for a while, but then it will die down and only a minority will remain. Heck, it's pretty much legal here and there aren't -that- many smokers really. Plus smokers are generally pretty chill/cool people i you hang out with them. :)

I just wanna see if the military will be allowed to smoke it, honestly. We've got national drug store chains prepared to sell at the drop of a hat, and maybe it will even make the woods safe again...

I doubt it... Well, off-duty maybe. But not being allowed to smoke when you have to work (especially places where you for instance 'play with guns' as you put it) should be a given. ^^;;

I mean, we're allowed to drink right up until 8 hours before duty, assuming we'll be sober in time to start duty, so... I don't see why not, we'd just need different sobering rules probably...

About Sanguine hurting Oliver...actually, he would have a fairly easy time restraining her, if he was aware of it. She's a spellcaster after all, so very poor strength and dexterity stats. Even with vampire bonuses. After all, he's the same level as her. So equal in terms of overall power. His power just lies in the physical, while hers lie in the magical. At most he might end up with a bite mark or some scratches.

That being said, if she were to ambush him that might be more dangerous. Or even worse, if she got time to prepare. As then she could cast buffs, summon minions, and other such things beforehand. Though I doubt that would happen any time soon. :P

I was just thinking, channelling's effectiveness drops off rapidly at higher levels, and Sanguine is a max level vampire. With her turn resistance on top of that, most of his options involve potentially lethal results, which is why he'd have a hard time repelling her. Lay On Hands becomes something like inflict critical wounds at his level, and his other options involve divine fire, or stabbing her with a magic weapon. Unless he's going to wrestle her to the ground and sit on her until she calms down. And like he pointed out, she's got a ridiculous number of caster levels. She could probably cast spells by accident if she took all those easier casting feats or whatever. She's already demonstrated an ability to cast spells without saying anything, and potentially without gestures. If he sits on her, and her angry self starts conjuring angry undead or something, she's going to get caught in the backblast of him dealing with them.

And it's not just a matter of stopping her, he wants to do so without injuring her to maximise the potential for sexy times.

Spells would be out of the question yes, as that would really hurt her. Though wrestling her to the ground is a viable option. I decided for her to not be completely overpowered, so she only has the silent casting and quick casting feats, not the still casting one.

I might as well explain a little more about what she can do. Her spells involve ice magic like ice bolt, ice storm (as a very high level spell) and freeze, and necromantic magic. Like different levels of undead summoning, inflict wounds and whither, etc. And for debuff/buff spells she has such things as ice shield, chill (slow effect), cause fear, poison, regenerate and energy drain. (basically a mana drain) Though she took a few minor spells for roleplay. Like telekinesis, spectral wings, teleport and comprehend languages.

As for vampire abilities. Summon familiars, which summons a group of ghostly bats and/or wolves to fight for her. Very weak, but useful in this new world as a distraction. Hypnotic gaze, which works as a temporary mind control. It only worked on npc's in the game. And of course the usual faster regeneration, a natural small damage reduction except against holy/silver and a small stat boost to all her stats. (more of a boost in strength, charisma and constitution) Contrary to that, she has a weakness to sunlight, can't be healed by normal cure spells, and her effective level as a caster is a bit lower. She basically casts spells like she was level 90~95 instead of level 100.

I can understand the wanting sexy times part though. xD

Okay, so you're playing a character that has 60+ levels on any given other character except mine, and maybe a couple of scrubs who were also fucking around in the game when it shut down, and you're worried about still casting making her overpowered? She could tank most hits to her face and be fine even with like 8 CON and still casting is going to make her OP? :P

Vampires in D&D have a plus 10 silver and magic resist tho?

oooh, she can only cast level 95 spells, that's so weak XD

And she's going to rip her legendary necromancer robes? Aren't wizard robes basically armour at that point?

I updated Oliver's CS with his actual character levels. Being the unique individual he is, he multi-classed all over the place. Paladin of Ockham for smite/combat skills and lay on hands, cleric of Pelor, The Burning Hate for healing/channelling and fire domain for offensive magic. Rogue for sleight of hand and dodge, slayer for "sneak attack" which in this case is more of a surprise attack, as in "surprise" I stabbed you in the gut instead of spending several rounds drawing my giant sword. Also for 1v1ing scrubs.

Not OP as in, she can still be stopped. If she had still casting as well, literally nothing could stop her. xD And no, she can cast level 100 spells. It's just that they're a bit weaker than, say, a human necromancer of lv 100. And sure she could tank most hits from normal enemies...but there aren't only 'normal enemies' in this world. :P (Note, even something like big ass orges are 'normal enemies'. >:3 )

Armour is armour, cloth is cloth. Sure they give a ton of stats, but in this rp it's just cloth. Magically enhanced cloth...but still!

Vampires in D&D have dr 6/silver, yes. And 10 cold and electricity resistance. But like I said, this is D&D-like, not actual D&D. :) I'm just using D&D rulesets as a basis, then adding some of my own thoughts to it to fit the rp more I guess. That's the wonders of roleplay. You're generally not bound by set rules like in D&D. :P

That's what I'm saying though...

Still, legendary robes don't just rip...

I've just been throwing pathfinder at a wall and using everything that sticks honestly...
