@LeeRoy I haven't fought a copycat in ages! It would be one hell of a training session for Corban to fight himself.

What of Dunnaman? I know his general theme from earlier, but any specifics? I've been meaning to fight you for a while now and I'd like to choose the funnest match.

That's an understatement, a character like that is going to be a bitch to find fights with. Like Superman, they can only really fight complete tanks, anyone else and they're just going to pulverize them instantly. (Which basically means the fight consists of tonnes of no sells)

It's always interesting finding people more OP than Fury, which is saying something, as Fury is literally designed as a giant killer.

I've never fought a copy-cat, to be honest I can imagine just wrecking them, I seriously doubt anyone could use a skillset I designed better than me.

Also, is anyone else going to post??!!

The copycat training session thing was a joke >_>

Corban's skillset is nothing special save for the Guardian techniques and carbon manipulation. It's just that his skills are highly organized and specialized so that they're pretty much useless in the hands of anyone not quite as eccentric as me.... and that's to say very few people.

No. I was just responding to the comment you said about no one being better with your characters skills than you o.o

It just seemed it was in direct reference to my training session comment.

Fair, but no I wasn't referring to that. Nor would I refute it would probably be a good training opportunity, particularly with certain more general skill types. I was just saying that a Copy-Cat would be a very difficult character to play, as you're almost always at a disadvantage, as everything else is even it simply comes down to who knows how to use the skills better, as you designed them that's probably going to be the original.

Maybe I'll try a copy-cat character some time, it's sort of the ultimate disrespect if you mess people up with their own powers, might be fun.

Oh god, if Gigue rips off his own leg and throws it at Sigurd I'm rage-quitting, you can have the win at that point.

Joking aside the only time I feel a character deserves to be called OP is when you have to start including specific caveats in your skillset to avoid dying to them the instant they appear. Everything else is a matter of scale and skill to me. That said I'm a huge fan of Blythe and I've been nagging Nega to dance with her for a while.

As for copycat powers they can be risky too. It depends on how the copying works but for Xio the bulk of his powers are sourced from Vorsours, to copy his powers exactly would be to draw power from Vorsours, who would probably just melt the copycat from the inside out unless she was feeling particularly bitchy.

@Starfall
Benny works by creating a facsimile of the power.

Sometimes this is ridiculously strong. Example. Fury's energy powers, sans the lunacy.

Being overpowered is contextual, pure and simple. In this context, someone who can't be physically overpowered, regenerates, has a super-suit and what basically equates to a hulk form, is overpowered. Blythe is literally the definition of a character you need specific caveats in your skillset to avoid dying to the instant they appear, her physicality is such that only a pure tank character can survive a single direct blow from her. I mean, she's not that great at range, but it's not exactly like she is slow either.

It's not a problem being overpowered, it just means you'll have difficulty finding a fight. Imagine if Liu had to fight Blythe? What could he do exactly? Lol.

I think Fury would actually break a copy-cats abilities, he has a very strange power-set. Naturally, the Fireen have an ability called Antireen control, which is basically the ability to convert an internal energy source into external effects. However, though Fury has always had the potential to do everything he can do, he has never had a great enough internal energy source to do it (nor the knowledge). His energy comes from the Void, the evil monster-spirit thing fused with his body. Would a copy-cat try and replicate the Void so that they could use Fury's powers, or would they make-do with their own energy source or clone Fury's base energy source? In theory replicating the Void is impossible, (and it would also be a terrible idea) but the alternative is to burn through your own energy to use his moves, and they're not that special really.

Also, Fury's energy drain comes from the Void.

It's hard to say exactly what a copy-cat could steal from him.

If being competitive is a matter of adding more numbers to your profile and/or going Super Saiyan then I wouldn't say they're overpowered. They may be out of scale for a given situation but terms like OP imply there's something inherently wrong with the character which isn't the case. She just needs to find someone who can keep up with her.

Well that does raise a good point, and there is no simple answer. A duplicate of the void wouldn't even be sentient or as dangerous. Considering he makes a shadow of the ability. It looks the same but at its core really isnt.

I suppose the real problem emerges from the Antireen control. Since his power is that of a god sealed in a mortal form, only allowed a vague semblance to actual power by copying the powers of others. He would either be able to use it until he used up the power itseld, or it would be incredibly useful. Using the latent power within him.

Benny is a hard character to regulate, since he was intended as a raid boss styled big bad, rather than a final boss sort.
