Roommate sits in lap and makes out with their own hand that's over your mouth.

-Average skype call.

Last night I was in my bunk, he crawled into my bed and started spooning me yelling: "DON'T YOU WISH THIS WAS YOU RIGHT NOW?"

Guys. Guys. This is seriously giving me flashbacks to when I was the waterboy for my High School football team.

The flashbacks are scaring me.

...Not scaring me, actually. It's weirdly pleasurable. Proceed.

I love John Boyega so much it hurts and it's strange only in the sense that I haven't had a celebrity crush in a very long time so much so that I can't remember the last one because I take my celebrity crushes very seriously, apparently. But I'm seriously infatuated with him. These infatuation feels hurt!

Fucker didn't even *try* and get his DD-214 sorted before ETSing.

Tack on the fact that he didn't turn in his TA-50 to CIF and no wonder they're looking high and low for him.

Traditionally here at Army Point University, the Firsties will "borrow" the Plebes' equipment for turn in to WB4 (our CIF), despite the fact that there's a goddamn surplus store outside the gate a few miles and also eBay exists.

Right now is summer school season so there's all sorts of deals flying around about getting replacements for lost TA-50 before schools like ABN and AASLT. No, you can't borrow my eye pro. I kind of need it.

Also go the fuck to sleep, Ranger.

Hi again guys!

I've posted on here about my wonderful serving stories, and I got another one to add. So buckle up, cuz here we go!

So at the place I work at, we have a job called Breakers. Essentially, these people are meant to go around relieving people of their section for a half hour while they go on break. The Breaker makes sure the tables are taken care of and everything is fine. They don't get tipped, but get paid a wage per hour.

Now normally, this job isn't bad. You go in to work, break a few people and then get to leave. No sidework. No hassle. In and out. Sounds fair right?

Well lately, they seem to think that Breakers are their bitches, able to balance a load of at most 12 breaks. Now do the math, 12 breaks is 6 hours. And that's not including the fact people come back late or don't clock out fast enough. Not to mention the Breakers get screwed over because they don't get a break themselves despite being on the floor longer than some of the servers they relieved!

I recently had a shift where I was serving for lunch then breaking for dinner. My relief didn't come in until I was nearly supposed to be there for my Breaker shift, so I had a measly 20 minutes for myself to relax and sit down, before I had to go back on the floor to break 10 people.

We also seem to have the worst clientele also. It's why no one likes working the dinner shifts because as soon as 7 rolls around we know the types of people that will be coming in: the ones that will try to get things for free, complain about everything, stay there for hours, or (my favorite) come in 10 minutes before we close and make us stay there for an extra 2 hours.

It's not fair really how poorly we seem to be treated lately. You'd think you'd want the front of the house people, the ones going to tables all day, to be happy and cared for, but we tend to be given the worst of the worst when policy changes come around. I know it's all corporate, but sometimes I think those men and women in corporate need to don an apron and do our job for a day and THEN tell me what needs to be changed and implemented.

Don't get me wrong, on most other days I enjoy my job and am thankful to have employment. I make a decent living off of serving, but I can't sit idly by and see these things continue to happen. And we've voiced our opinions on them too. Told managers, GMs, DMs. Everyone we could, and nothing has gotten done.

Today at the work:

>"Alright guys, we're a little backed up so if anyone would like to work a little more to clean it up, that's great."
>Keep head low, maybe the nigh supervisor won't see me, go about work.
>Later cleaning up
>Bump into her on way to cardboard compactor.
>"Hey would you mind working a little extra to help out? We're a little inundated."
"... ok."
>"Great, thanks!"

tfw why can I not say no when asked directly.

At least despite working more than usual my legs aren't killing me as much as they would normally. But a new week has just begun.

Best not to say no anyway. At jobs like that, best to go a little above the bar so you can negotiate later on down the road.

Can't say I have anything to complain about at work today. I, uh, had to buy a candy bar to stay awake because I went to a drive-in movie the night before? That's not a real problem though.

I can complain about dental insurance now I guess. They took my money but they still playin' like my application is pending. What's that? I paid you, I'm a customer now, pay for my cavities. (and no, this isn't a waiting period. This plan doesn't have waiting periods in my state. It's just ...pending.)

Tell them you wish your cavity can go into pending mode too.
