There were plans to post earlier, but I got distracted somewhere. I've already actually posted this elsewhere so if this seems familiar, yes, you have seen it... probably.

At the Gamma department, every five years a batch of 120 kids - aged from 13-17, and mostly kids who won't be missed at all - are chosen for the Gamma training program. By the end of the first year, only 24 are left. The top 24 trainees, all ranked from Alpha to Omega, based on their skills. These 24 continue on, for the next four years, training to be the best, while specialising on their skills. Top-notch spies, bodyguards, killers-for-hire. Gamma agents will do anything clients pay them for and what the Organization asks for, and because the Organization is allied to no one, Gamma agents can face off each other in the field. (There's so much more I want to say for this - including how designations are created, the training program and the ranking for Gamma agents, the suits Gamma agents use and the clients - but this is the gist of it. I was thinking that if this ever comes to play, the roleplay would start with the graduation. So there would be new and old Gamma agents.)
Twenty-seven Earth years ago, an alien civilization, only a few light years away from Earth, made contact with us. Twenty-five years ago, three more civilizations followed. Together, the five planets made such an advancement in space technology that it only takes less than two earth weeks to get from one planet to another on a space shuttle. The advanced space technology made it possible to contact other planets and civilizations. Not only that, but customised suits were made so that should someone from one planet could survive in another planet. Even a translator has been developed, but they're known to mistranslate something at times. Scientists are working on it, don't worry. Earth, by decision after ten years of trade, became the center of the alliance. In order to create more ties between the planets, an exchnage program was proposed. Each planet will send at least one of their inhabitants to Earth, where all the participants will be briefed about the program then proceed to tour around the universe, staying one earth month in one planet at a time in order to get better acquainted with the culture. (This could also be easily a diplomatic mission. Planet A sends the heir to one of their kingdoms. Planet B decides to send the second-in-command of one of the greater factions. A princess from Planet C. I take no credit for the idea; I got it from writingprompts on tumblr. It was also originally named Interplanetary Foreign Exchange Program, but I'm very mature and changed it to association. )
Because the treaty between the three dominating supernatural species- vampires, werewolves and warlocks - has finally been signed, current King of the vampires, Markus, is itching to have an extravagant ball. So he hosts one. A masquerade ball, to be exact. Intiving all sorts of supernatural beings to his humble abode - read: a castle in the far north - he arranges possibly one of the biggest events he'll ever host. He manages to even get a few friends - really, just warlocks with debts to him, but he calls them friends anyway - to cast a strong charm on the castle so that the olfactory senses of any being that enters the castle, is dulled to that of a human - no offense to the little, lovely humans, but they just don't have the sharp and sensitive noses most supernatural beings have. (Okay, this is super cliche, I know, but it has to be done. I'm thinking that this could start just before the ball, like the afternoon before the ball. Because the Markus I have in mind is the kind of person who would go through extreme lengths, like having guests have a hunting session for the more bloodthirsty beings or a spa morning for the more gentlecreatures on the day of the ball. so they'd be fresh as hell or properly fed. Stuff like that. But it could also start just as people are entering the ball.)
