Savarog Federation
Species Description: The Savarogs as a species are a rugged and enduring lot, with barely any pain receptors and a skin thick enough to outright stop even decent calibre firearms. The Savarogs as a race are best described as a humanoid reptilian sort, these hulking brutes of muscle and leather-like skin are fearsome foes when compared to the average human due to bear-like strength and an almost stupidly high endurance. Indeed, such is their strength that they could shattered a human's skull with ease.. Their intelligence often seems diminished compared to others due to militarisitc tendancies - however Savarogs are rather intelligent when it comes to engineering and applied scienes. They possess logical brains that lack much in the way of creavity, and speak in slow, deliberate tones.
On top of other natural advantages, the Savarogs may also fly into an immense rage when sufficiently angered. This action is incredibly dangerous to a foe, as in this state nothing but complete destruction will truly stop the enraged Savarog from brutally maiming it's target, and many more beyond that.
It is worth noting that Savarogs possess multiple sets of all vital organs, may go months to years without food and little water, and possess an almost immunity to nigh on all forms of toxin. Their skin is suited to deserts primarily, though rugged enough to even handle the vacuum of space for very brief periods.
Perhaps the, main though, disgusting, feature of the Savarogs is their ability to consume sentient flesh. While outwardly seeming to just be disgusting, by consuming the flesh of their enemy the Savarogs will eventually evolve to gain some manner of their power - for instance, eating nothing but the flesh of some hyper-strong race will make those Savarogs stronger. This process is heralded by an elite caste of, almost shaman like figures known as the 'Shapers.'
Gender Dimorphism:
There is quite a lot of sexual dimorphism between the two genders, as male Savarogs are hulking creatures, standing at roughly 2.5 Metres tall and weighing between 600lb. to 800lb. at the very most. Male Savarogs are normally of a rusty colouration, with anything from shades of yellow up to crimson being quite common, all males also sport a rather fearsome pair of tusks upon their bottom jaw – while only useful when unarmed, it is seen as honourable combat and the male with the biggest tusks is also likely to be in a position of power.
Female Savarogs are far more delicate than males of their species, while a male Savarog may survive numerous bullets and other such weapons, the female Savarogs are far less durable, being only somewhat above humans in terms of being able to take punishment. Many female Savarogs sport somewhat brighter colours than their male counterparts as well, as some may even have something resembling a bluish colouration. Female Savarogs are still at least 2 Metres tall and weigh between 450lb. to 600lb.
Reproduction:
The Savarogs reproduce via egg-laying. However, it is also worthy of noting that female Savarog produced a tremendous amount of eggs in each clutch - upwards of two dozen leathery-skilled eggs that are about the shape of a rugby ball.
Subspecies:
Sorgal: The rugged and stubborn peoples of the Vrakar mountains, while smaller than the normal Savarog strains, these creatures have the extraordinary ability to glide through the skies using long membrane-covered arms. These Savarogs also have drastically brighter colours than their more dominant kin.
Rikmor: Highly crocodile-like in appearance and form these few and far between communities of Savarog's dwell in what remains of their planet's waterways. Highly territorial and utterly devoted to protecting their lands, these creatures are tribal and highly dangerous.
Striyrdok: Rare and perhaps rightfully so, these creatures are born from an ever increasingly small strain of the mainline Savarog genetic code. These creatures are drastically more intelligent, drastically stronger and drastically more enduring than the normal Savarogs. Their DNA is used in the process of making the Vokar divisions.
Wrirkan: A docile and relatively peaceful subspecies of what can only be described as humanoid turtles. They are usually more stable as a group, even welcoming such tasks as farmers.

Technological Description: Savarog technology is anything but beautiful. They are a harsh race, and their technology reflects this. Their technology is crude but more or less always seems to work, no matter the situation and the sheer amount of grim that the tech may have been exposed to it always seems to work. Their navy is a fleet of crude yet nigh on impossible to outright destroy, given their nature for building such durable technology.
Savarog weapons are brutal. Anyone who has seen them used will attest, their simplistic yet utterly horrific effects are infamous with many 'squishier' races that are in or near the Savarog's territories. To make matters worse, Savarogs frequently employ all manner of highly protective power armour, from advanced models with energy shielding right down to purely those that enhance physical strength. Most helms are fashioned to be leering skulls or other intimidating faces, even the basic grunt has access to powered armour affectionately referred to as "Srogas" or "skin."
Heavily modified Srogas from the Savarog's recent experiments:
However, in recent history, the Savarogs have found a race that is willing to look past their bloodthirsty nature – the Qulseoc. These highly advanced creatures have almost taken the Savarogs under their wing, or rather, tentacle.
History:The Savarogs dragged themselves from the waters of evolution upon their, once prime and beauteous world of Khragk – a world which was once filled with teeming forests and oceans brimming with life, now reduced to deserts and scrub lands. For the longest time, the proto-Savarogs had difficult lives as their world eventually fell into what can only be described as a massive biological arms race as each animal and primitive species (for they shared this world with many others) raced in an ever quickening race to become dominant.
The tribal history of the Savarogs is rich, their world's caves being filled with the art and long-lasting pieces of both Savarog and the numerous other intelligent life forms early cultures.Their massed biological war was still raging, and would do so until some...unthinking, Savarogs proposed a final solution.
As gathered, the Savarogs when they entered an age not unlike our own were still warlike, but their focus was forever on the nuclear as a method of securing them...and only them, as this world's owners. Day and night, the Savarog's (united against a common foe, the Savarog's will band together, unlike the tribes of today) industries churned out dangerous weapons that could exterminate whole ecosystems with the press of a button. Such a day came, one evening wherein 99% of all life on their planet was consumed in radioactive flame. Those that survived were exposed to radiation lethal enough to kill a human hundreds of times over.
However, through some trick of fate or unknown advantage the Savarog's which were not inside the indomitable fortress cities did not die of the radiation, granted many died of explosions and the latent nuclear winters, were almost stronger for it but feral – the origins of the Savarog's favoured animal the Vuagh, like Human and...highly radioactive dog. That was, for a period, their society. The Savarog's survived where almost all else died, their forests of life and oceans of opportunity reduced to sand and barren wastes...but them as a species, for once, being able to claim dominance.
Tribal warfare, horrid massacres, all happened after. Even in their modern age, the Savarog's were barely as advanced as humans, though avid in colonising, until they met the Quelseoc.
Government Description: Dictatorship of the Proletariat
Ruling Party: Federated Equality Coalition (Communist/Marxist)
Cultural/Religious Description: While not really a popular belief system among the whole populace, many of the Savarogs have their own pantheon of various different gods. In total, the Savarogs have thirteen gods in total, however, the only real god in which they – as a race – uphold is Jodrak, Lord of Iron. Worship however, has been weak since meeting the atheist Qulsoec.
As a whole, the Savarogs are a brutish and warlike culture that views themselves as the absolute superiour creature – not out of arrogance, but purely because on their worlds they literally are that. Savarog culture and hierarchy is based purely on might makes right, and in that the strongest (or in rare cases the most manipulative) Savarog wins dominance by simply beating the current leader in some manner of blood sport. At the top of the hierarchy is the tribal emperors, each lording over their own tribe, and at the bottom are outsider races (Qelsoec are honourary Savarogs when it comes to social ranking) and slaves of all races.
Savarogs are overall a deeply cultural people, and in that they are stubborn and highly traditionalist. Savarogs push with vigour that their culture must not be shaped and molded by any sorts of outsider race that is seen as inferior to the Savarogs themselves. Males are encouraged to become soldiers, or otherwise work in the base industry that the Savarogs have, while females are downright expected to be little more than homemakers and child-bearers.
The Land Armies of the Unit Savarog Socialist Republics:
Slaves, Political Enemies, Enemies of the State.
Sraag
“The filth and degenceracy of the national commune” - The exact wording of the Savarog High Command when describing these poorly equipped and over all terrible soldiers. Composed entirely of slaves seen as too feeble to work in the extremely hostile Savarog industry, these slaves make up for their absolute lack of ability with sheer overwhelming numbers. Armed with outdated and backwards weapons, and equipped with only the bare essentials – sometimes not even that, these soldiers are meat shields. Nothing more.
Phrrolak Indrujoons
Political enemies of the state and the commune as a whole, activists against the tyrannical ways of the Savarogs, and other such dangerous political opponents all find their way into these penal battalions. Armed to the degree of the lowly Sraag, these undertrained troops are there to buy victory with their bodies and sheer volume.
Xrucx Mhorrdran
Xeno soldiers, mercenaries, and other such alien creatures. The Xrucx are actually somewhat well trained and armed by comparison to some other units, sporting modern weapons and being decently well supplied. Their main weakness comes from the fact that they are composed of aliens, being xenophobic as they are, Savarog Commanders will hurl these soldiers at the most dangerous positions and generally not care for their health.
Srerloc
The main rank and file soldiers of the Savarog Federation. These are composed of mainly male Savarogs (some subject races are allowed their own units and women do serve). They are, by all accounts, the grunts, the main driving force and their most numerous units within any Savarog battle group. These grunts are found in extremely durable teams of fifteen members, led by a single Jurmi-class battle-master.
They are armed with both melee and ranged weapons. The former often takes shape as a crude mace fashioned out of a thick, heat resistant metal, that is used to crush foes under sheer weight and crushing power. Their ranged weapon, is an easily mass produced solid-slug spewer that fires a heavy, armour piercing shot out of magazines. The weapon is made from durable alloys and has a legendary resilience to dirt and grime.
Gakirum
Serving as a more ranged option to the normal Srerloc units, these competent and accurate marksmen are equipped with somewhat lighter body armour (which is not saying much when dealing with Savarogs) and with longer range armaments that are even granted selective firing modes. Often serving as scouts, light infantry, and pathfinders, these groups tend to act more for reconnaissance than actual fighting. These units are also authorised to carry communications equipment to call in and signal devastating artillery.
Vrundoks
Storm troopers. As true to the word as possible. These hulking brutes are the biggest, meanest, and overall strongest of the normal Srerloc units. Battle hardened veterans normally, these units will not hesitate to follow their orders to the very letter. Casualties, Savarog and civilian, do not matter. Armed with close ranged shotguns or sub-machine guns, these units use their strength at arms and unbreakable morale to smash the foe into bloody pulp.
Drop Troopers and Aerial Domination Troops:
Rarloc Drop Troopers
A somewhat uncommon unit, though nonetheless extremely dangerous, these Savarogs hurl themselves from low flying Fukirum troopships upon Qulseoc-designed grav-chutes. Many of these veterans have survived for decades in service, some even so far back as to the old days where they would lead from planes and deploy more conventional parachutes. Designed with sabotage and surprise in mind, these soldiers are given carbine versions of their normal lead spitters, and taught to utilise the enemy's tech against them.
Crardon
Forming the bulk of all Savarog units designed for deep cover operations behind enemy lines, the Crardons are formed from the elites of the earlier Rarloc divisions. As such, most have seen combat before, and most are extremely well trained. Armed with carbines and enough supplies to last themselves for weeks – not very much considering the lack of real biological needs.
Jetarog
Jetpack infantry, a Savarog commander a hundred years ago would scoff at the sheer notion, but having since come into contact with the Qulseoc the notion has become reality. Armed with grav-packs and plasma spitting weapons, these units are expert skirmishers.
Biological Infantry Weapons:
Vuyrdok
Perhaps the single most terrifying of Savarog group forces, these monstrous berskers are exemplars of that most distinguishing of all Savarog traits: assimilation. These soldiers have selective been fed only the meat from the strongest, most enduring creatures their shapers can gather, turning normal Savarogs in three metre tall, fourteen-hundred pound killing machines, who's skin acts like a natural armour against small arms and who's bestial might can dent vehicle hulls.
Rotack Battalions
A somewhat, odd, unit. The Rotack serves as more of a tower gun-beast than anything else. Meshing the idea of both a tank and an artillery platoform and mounting it on a creature that can probably crush a small city. Mounting dozens on Barlocs, with Tramar and in dire situations even Nukrax pieces all be mounted on the beast.
Mechanised, Mounted or Foot Artillery Forces:
Goyrloc
Despite the common occurrence wherein cavalry are rendered impotent on a battlefield, these highly trained cavalry are still used. Riding horrific Qrax and wielding lances wreathed in a destructive energy fields, these elite cavalry are not only tough, but have the slaying power to topple some vehicles and even stationary emplacements if used correctly.
Barloc
A somewhat smaller, 10.8cm artillery piece designed for use alongside more conventional infantry units, the Barloc has an admiration by most wings of the Savarog ground forces, namely because if all else fails, a rather strong team of burly Savarog can lift the damn thing to carry it.
Werak
A lesser known of unit, but vital nonetheless, are the Werak combat engineers. Skilled engineers which construct the vast defence networks and combat positions which undoubtedly dominant any battle.
Tramar
A massive artillery piece indeed, this giant siege cannon fires a gargantuan 210mm shell over a staggering distance. Employed in immense batteries to battle against enemy emplacements, and otherwise hard targets, these guns have a fearsome psychological impact.
Nukrax
A behemoth of a construction, and truly the most terrifying of all Savarog artillery pieces to behold. This 280mm atomic artillery piece, fires a 280mm primed nuclear warhead at the target with a reasonable degree of accuracy. This is the ultimate in Savarog military escalation, a weapon to only be used during times where civillian casualties and too much firepower are both oxymorons.

The Combined Aerial Armed Forces of the United Savarog Socialist Republics:
Fukirum
A venerable vehicle which saw the days before the Savarog nuclear cleansing, now updated to fight once again. The Fukirum is simply put, a troop transport. Designed to get soldiers in and out of combat situations with as few casualties as possible, these vehicles strike a balance between raw armour and sufficient speed to dodge enemy AA attempts. The Fukirum comes in numerous models and variants, though the average carries two full sections of fifteen Savarogs in full armour and weapons, meaning thirty in total. Some have since been expanded for vehicles, or even downsized for the rare stealth operations that the Savarogs use.
Crakmar Heavy Gunship
A relatively new addition to Savarog aerial forces, this indomitable flying brick has earned a reputation for its ability to rain sheer destruction upon ground-based foes. Mounting what could only be described as auto-cannons which fire immense calibre shells, alongside missile pods, make this a distinctive threat be it infantry or vehicle.
Grarax
Functioning as a light reconnaissance vehicle and skirmisher, the Grarax is a relatively weak aircraft designed for speed and subtlety rather than brute force. Mounts a single auto-cannon with limited attack strength.
Vrubrakir
A true multi-role fighter, this craft mounts thick armour as well as powerful armaments. Configured in a multi-role mindset, this craft has ample weapons to deal with armour as well as infantry, shredding the latter with minigun-like solid-slug spitters and the former with precision Qulseoc plasma cannons.
Caksan
Though lacking in conventional aircraft and sheer air power, the Savarogs do manage to do something right: Bombers. None show this as well as the Caksan super heavy bomber, a multi-tonne aircraft capable of carrying massive payloads of varying ammunition across the not-so-friendly skies. As for conventional armaments, it mounts numerous smaller calibre arms, though only really useful for firing at soft targets or light vehicles.

The Combined Tredtar Vehicular Forces of the United Savarog Socialist Republics:
Brurax
Acting as a light attack craft and rapid response vehicle, this vehicle mounts only light laser based armaments and weaker armour, though great speed do mitigate this somewhat.
Strigg
A simple name for a simple concept, the Strigg is the land-based ferry that carries Savarogs from A to B in an armoured manner. Mounting heavy armour and a chaingun turret on the front and back of the craft, it is a formidable is somewhat clunky tracked craft.
Vravarog
While not a vehicle in traditional sense, this mech-like vehicle still fulfills a similar role. Built for resistance and fire support, this lumbering behemoth of armour and bullets is equipped with basic forms of Qulseoc energy shields and wields a large laser-based section support weapon.
Puyrdok
Acting as a mobile fortress almost, this colossal vehicle is the size of a small town and equipped with more guns than a small army. Though rare and extremely expensive, these vehicles act as mobile command centres for Savarog armies on rapid warfare missions or generally when they are fighting on hostile soil. Deployed using vast carrier craft that must enter lower orbit, it is a rare sight to see these craft, but terrifying. The ruling party of the Savarogs also use these awe-inspiring sights as potent propaganda, mounting vast speakers to them, constantly blaring out highly militarised music for their soldiers to hear.
Kralak
Serving as primary heavy assault vehicle of the Tredtar, this rather large tank serves the niche as a heavy tank that can both take and give devastating blows. Mounting a massive smooth-bore 203mm cannon, this gun alone would be seen by human standards as more like an artillery piece. The tank also mounts various smaller calibre machine guns for self-defence against pesky infantry.

Kosmicheskaya Sila of the United Savarog Socialist Republics
As a space farring nation, the Federation has always deemed it entirely necessary to have an imposing space fleet. While not visually “pretty” or “aesthetic” the fleet is a highly skilled defence and assault force that has since been fitted with Qulseoc technology.
Hurdok Frigate Class
A relatively speaking light craft when compared to the other units in the Savarog fleet, the Hurdok is used in the role of light support and general frigate duties. Mounting immense batteries of powerful Savarog and Qulseoc heavy guns, these ships are fierce and hard to take down. Mounting Qulseoc energy shields, these ships are rather durable though perhaps not to the degree of other larger ships.
Drakson Destroyer Class
Draksons are something of a legendary figure for the Savarogs. It was the name of the first Savarog Great Krilako, uniter of the clans, and the very name of the Savarog that wreathed their world in nuclear flame to cleanse the other sentients from their world. As such, the captains of these ships are normally some of the most competent men in the entire navy (barring those in the Wakaror and Ceyrdoks) and decorated war heroes. Mounting batteries of highly destructive and huge sized auto-cannons, with many other guns mixed into the design, these ships are nightmares for foes.
Vrukrax Light Cruiser
An oddity, though not obsolete so much as just odd. These ships are equipped primarily for tackling smaller foes, relying more on shielding than the normal immense bulk of armour that every other Savarog craft seems to use. These ships are also somewhat more Qulseoc in design, being generally better looking and mounting batteries of extremely powerful plasma and laser cannons.
Mokaror Exterminator Vessels
Horrific in name and in purpose, the Mokaror are the rare though not unheard of class of Savarog ships with the express design to tamper with sentients and exterminate both people and planets. They mount not normal guns, but deadly planet killers that make rivers run like lava and shatter continents like cheap ceramic plates. They are always heavily guarded, and always in contact with at least a Vrenak class battle group.
Qrok Monolith-Class Carrier
Designed in immediate response to the dire need for greater numbers of carrier ships, the Qrok is an armour though not so much armed ship, it has hundreds of guns but they are all smaller calibre, designed for shooting down attacking bombers and fighters than anything else. However, they can carry many hundreds of Savarog vehicles, and thousands of soldiers bound for foreign worlds.
Wakaror Battlecruiser Class Battleship
Designed more with the idea of battering the enemy into submission via massed attrition, the Wakaror is a somewhat strange craft. Deemed currently obsolete due to all Savarog technology, yet also still extremely potent, these units are caught within the old and new worlds of the Savarogs. Many captains of a traditionalist sort treat these craft like mounts of war, truly personalied craft that have seen decades to hundreds of years of service and will not relinquish their somewhat primitive weapons, seeing other tech as “Far too flimsy for proper Savarogs to use.”
Ceyrdok Battleship
The flagships the whole space fleet, these gargantuan constructs are many millions of tonnes in displacement, and mount thousands upon thousands of heavy guns. While seeking to use Qelseoc technology in all areas, the Ceyrdok currently only uses one aspect of their advanced technology: apocalypse grade energy shielding which may stop a stupendous amount of fire from hundreds of other guns. Individually, these ships are intimidating and daunting, but their true power is as a rallying point and command centre for the lesser Savarog ships in their navies.
Trakkur Class Star Dreadnought.
The staggeringly large capital ships of the Savarog fleets, these titanic, 40 kilometre long warmachines are bristling with more arms than most armies and with armour thick enough to repel most smaller arms with ease. Equipped with the thickest shielding avaliable to the Savarog fleets, these behemoths of space are daunting foes.
There are currently thirteen of these machines in Savarog space.
As a space farring nation, the Federation has always deemed it entirely necessary to have an imposing space fleet. While not visually “pretty” or “aesthetic” the fleet is a highly skilled defence and assault force that has since been fitted with Qulseoc technology.

Other: Special Units:
Crakador Teams:
Called in when the Savarog's normal soldiers are simply not durable enough, these power armour clad warriors carrying advanced Qulseoc plasma weapons and sporting high-powered jump packs are highly mobile and utterly enduring soldiers that are considered to be equivalent to top tier special operations teams.
The Vonar Divisions:
Genetically modified to heighten the Savarog's natural physical toughness and immense strength the Vonar divisions are the elite soldiers of the Savarog Federation. Each member of these elite divisions is a veritable monster, as his skin is nigh impenetrable and their natural strength allows them to barrel through numerous members of smaller races. These creatures even have heightened intelligence, aside from a drastically boosted regeneration effect.
Grakirum Combatsuit
Meant to be an even heavier infantry option that the normal Savarog armed forces, these lumbering brutes of steel and firepower are meant to be the sort of units that can pin down - not outright kill - various enemies.
Mutax Super Heavy Artillery
Realising their relative lack of technology in the grand scale of the universe, leading Savarog engineers designed the Mutax Super Heavy Artillery piece. A vast gun firing a multi-tonne shell that can devastate fixed positions and units, the Mutax is a fearsome opponent.
Kraxx Titan-Mech
Perhaps the single most, ambitious piece of Savarog military technology (and that is saying a lot) that the race has designed in their whole history, these mechs are devastating (though rare) units that have as much firepower as a small army. These vehicles are piloted by numerous Savarogs that have trained for numerous years with their gargantuan constructs.
"Ritarog"
Personal Kraxx Mech of the leader of the Savarog Federation, this colossal vehicle is even deadlier than the standard, mounting both thicker armour and even more guns...
