Dragonball Xenoverse is out now, looks pretty good but gotta wait for them to patch up the servers and hopefully get it on sale. No matter how good it is $50 + $25 for a season pass is just too much plus needs time to work out the bugs. I want it but I must resist and wait for it to get better and cheaper. At this point maybe someone else should set up a DBZ roleplay.

I've been following dbx info around for a few weeks now, and I have to say, I want it badly... like very badly, I'd have it and be playing it right now if I had the money to get it X3 I haven't play a decent dbz game in years, and in Xenoverse, we can make our own characters! X3 (even though the race's are limited to Majin, Saiayn, Human, Namekian, and Ice-Jin's, wish android was an option...) which is awesome, granted the scales are tipped in a fight if one's character is a saiyan, you know, being able to become a super saiyan (1 and 2) and all until they run out of ki energy, which if carful might not happen, all the other races got is the kaioken technique which has a time limit... but still, it's awesome X3 and maybe your right... Stryder is gone for the month, to where or for what reason I haven't a clue cause I didn't ask X3 but I notice that he seems to be busy often, life does that to one =3 that aside I noticed a distinct lack of DBZ RP's on the guild, this might be the only one (that has been put on ice...) existing, so yes... perhaps someone should set up a DBZ RP... but who?... I don't think Stryder's going to be back anytime soon, and I think it would be fair to guess that it's just me and you who still monitor this seemingly dead thread to speak about this... and I've tried to GM rp's of my own before, twice and they both flat lined T_T

I could do it, I have quite a bit of experience though my only real successes have been about 4 rps in the past, plus a few others I joined. The biggest problem with DBZ roleplays is well plot, and a stupid amount of training sessions. DBZ as a series is mostly about trying to power up enough to take out the next big baddie which gets stale really fast. Admittedly I liked the original dragonball with its odd characters and cooky plotlines better than DBZ which tended to feel stale by comparison. I even liked GT more than DBZ at times because it brought back some of the craziness that the original Dragonball had. Course DBZ had the epic fights which is what go the series famous overseas in the first place. Anyway though I'm off topic. Constructing a Dragon Ball roleplay in a way that limits the 'training itch' and pure power plays is the trick. Of course any dragon ball roleplay is going to have those training times but even those events should try to have some character progression as well aside from power ups. In any event figuring out a good storyline to provide a healthy role play environment is a bit of a trick.

yes... it's hard to stay on the plot line with others wanting to do what they want, and the training can be a bit of a hassle... personally I liked Dragon Ball, it was good in my opinion, and the Michael bay part of my mind loved Dragon Ball Z cause epic fights X3 and yes, I liked GT, I don't care if it's non-cannon =3 that aside, yes the 'training itch' does seem to be a reacquiring theme in dbz rp's, even in this one, I admit that Maximus had the training itch, with reason might I add, he's a machine, not an android, he didn't need to eat, didn't need to rest, and had the objective to get stronger to defend the earth from the dark saiyan invasion, but even then I had character development for him with Glacier, as for power plays yeah this rp had it's fair share, example being: Orin suddenly having the ability to conveniently transform even though not having done it before in IC just to combat Amber who had transformed for the first time, or when R'yak had his 'rage' transformation to try and take on Devastator on his own.... *sighs* that being said, I enjoy a good storyline, and character progression, with a healthy course of action (and or possibly romance *blushes slightly*) mixed in, how we are to do that though... I do not know...

Yes for the most part I thought you did pretty well in the roleplay. Glacier was a fun challenge, making an ice-jin in a way that limited the power to everyone else's level. When she finally managed to unlock her 2nd form though, her power level was so below everyone else's better forms, which was fine since I decided to go the tactical fighter route rather than brute force. My character seemed to be the only one who actually tried to take advantage of opponent's weaknesses like in your Devastator fight. Time stuff is cool but can get too confusing so an alternate reality setting would probably work best. Best to avoid anything with saiyan population explosions, both with player characters and npcs. If this roleplay had continued on I was seriously wondering how Glacier was going to keep up after achieving her 'Cooler' transformation since I had little doubt saiyans were gonna go SSJ2 and up. Anyway got to work on my 'The Seer' roleplay first before thinking about something like this.
