Jonathan has always been almost completely devoted to his research, and even in school, he only ever had 3 friends through university, all of whom shared his intense interest in the stars in some form, and he almost never spared a thought about the thing called romance. He is doing the experiment because he lost a bet with his lab assistant, and wants to learn more about this weird thing called “Socializing.”

Growing up in an Upper Class, though by no means 1%, family, Jonathan had an easy childhood, and access to a top-notch education, excellent neighborhoods, and much more, all adding up to a rather sheltered youth, leading deep into his teenage years. He was an only child as well, which compounds the problem by removing a potential source of social interaction. Translation: He is a brilliant, but socially awkward and naive man.

【Drive】
Space. Or, more accurately, space travel. Ever since he was young, Jonathan always loved togaze up at the sky, and he read science fiction books like other children ate their halloween candy. He was always coming up with ideas on how to better travel the stars, and he one day wants to test these ideas himself

Jonathan is very much a dreamer, and can often be found in the Library or out stargazing.

She's open to the idea of having a boyfriend, and on the inside she's open to the idea of having a girlfriend too (though she tries her best to deny it to herself and others). However, she's never tried it out (and never found any of the men in the gangs/women in prison worthy mates) so she may be very inexperienced at it.

Her parents haven't paid much attention to her, as her father is an Ex-Navy sailor who abuses her drunk mother, who then became a prostitute. She grew up in The Hood, more specifically Detroit, where her father worked as a GM auto plant worker and her mother a prostitute (after both she and Carmen ran away from the abusive boyfriend). Carmen ran away from her mother when she turned 16 into a hispanic gang, and was then taken to prison after murdering a child kidnapper/molester.

【Drive】
After being freed from prison, Carmen made it her life duty to become a better person, and to not become a criminal again. She's grown up dreaming of going out to sea and exploring the ocean and the world, and hearing stories from her dad (when he was less abusive) about the Navy, she always wanted to join. She's trying to apply to the Navy, but is having trouble due to her felon background.

As for her outlook on such endeavors (as well as everything else), Carmen's quite a snarky smartass with a bit of a cynical side to her, but deep inside she tries to at least stay positive and has a glimmer of hope for both humanity and her future, now that she's free.

Carmen isn't much passionate about anything, other than joining the military, and trying to atone for her past sins as being a criminal when younger. However, she does enjoy reading, and she does love watching documentaries of undersea adventures.

She's very interested in Sailing and joining the United States Navy, though due to her background as a felon and having grown up as a Detroit gangster and in prison, she wasn't able to achieve that field just yet.
