Hey! So here's what I'm thinking.

Because this object was a triangle, I thought maybe it could just be a very advanced boobytrap. It emitted very negative emotions, intended to make anyone who found it turn back (or... kill each other). It didn't stop until it was knocked off the pedestal, and then it revealed the next passage.

Now I'm thinking that Yerbol could be the one having these visions and extreme reactions because he touched the plagued troopers. Looking back over what we've written, Leoria never did.

He could keep having visions/reactions as they move closer to the actual relic, and once they get there, that power might drive him to be the one to grab it. What happens then, I'm not sure yet!

How does that sound?

Ok, just to clarify what happened in my post:

-Yerbol had visions of the "Heralds" and their subsequent eradication by the Sith from the Old Republic era. The knowledge was locked away in the tombs.

-The scrolls contain the history of the Heralds and their downfall as charted out by Sith historians.

I'm thinking this about the Heralds. Let me know what you think:

-The Heralds were an advance part of scouts and diplomats that emerged from Wild Space, "heralding"(eh? eh? xD) the return of the "True Sith".

-The Heralds demanded full control of Korriban and the Empire, proclaiming that their masters were the ones who should decide the fate of the Sith, not "pretenders"

-The Sith killed the Heralds due to the power grab and sealed their knowledge away. Their knowledge is so dangerous to the Sith because it reveals a path in between the Light and the Dark. Essentially, the "True Sith" practiced staying "balanced" and not allowing either light or dark to commandeer their thinking.

What do you think?

For my post, I'm thinking that Yerbol should take the lead, since he had the visions. In fact, the scrolls might look blank to Leoria, since she hasn't been touched the way that he has. Or he's seeing the chamber in its prime in his vision, and it looks like a mess to her. I like the conflict that could arise when she doesn't see what he does, and their interpretations of reality start clashing. For example, when he insists that there is writing on the scrolls, but she sees nothing. She may start to wonder if he is possessed by the same things that killed the troopers, and what she might have to do if he "turns." Would that be alright?

Sorry for the wait! I'm thinking he can see the writing, because of the knowledge the visions gave him, but she can't. Also, it could be cool if we go with the cube being the relic they're looking for. If it isn't as their masters had described, it could complicate things.

Hey, so, I'm hinting at Yerbol having a bit of temporary Force Lightning due to the surge of power from the relic, but feel free to infuse Ria with as much power as you want. It would be kinda cool to see her walk away with some amazing powers along with Yerbol's visions.

I'm reading up on Force Illusion. As I understand it, it is where a force user can actually change the thoughts of another individual, making them see/hear/smell things that aren't there. Is that something that you think Leoria could potentially learn through this experience? I know of a way to incorporate it into the story, and explain why she has it. But do you think that would be a good choice? I'm terrible with abilities, powers, etc. XD

Alright, there we go! The illusion I went with was snow, and cold. It was the first thing she could think of as she freaked out. She can see it as a flicker, but it should look fairly real to him. Basically like it just appeared around him, since he is sitting in it! :)
