Looking for MechWarriors

When I was a kid, the first game I ever played was the MechWarrior 4 trilogy, and my love for giant war machines has been ever present now for almost 16 years since then. I am wondering if there are any people on the site that are fans of the Battletech universe. This could mean both the tabletop games or the videogames like the MechWarrior series or Mech Assault games. It would be awesome to get enough people for a lance to roleplay with (a lance being a group of four MechWarriors). Send messages and stuff, I guess.

The only mech game I've played is somethijg called "iron brigade" at least I think it counts as a mech game.

Smoke Jaguar veteran reporting from Mechwarrior 2, 3, 4, Online, Mechcommander Gold and 2, and some dabbling in MWLL.

I actually had a roleplay idea for it... but time went low, couldn't fill the GM role and the interest plopped in any case :/

Oh my the Battletech universe! The universe in which the games are based off of. Love the style of mechs they have as walking tanks and depending on the era lost tech. Maintained after the ability to build them was lost where rusted plate covers them while hammering away as the inner sphere was in a constant state of war after the star league fell apart. Maurader all the way here, sending clanner scum away with 3 PPCs all day.

It's awesome to see quite a few people interested in making this roleplay happen. I will keep everyone here posted via PMs on whatever updates I make or whatever help I may need to make sure I don't conflict too much with the lore.

I look away for my shift at work and come back to a load of comments. Okay, while I'm doing my writing and thinking magic, I have some homework for those who have a good computer. Play some MechWarrior Online. It's free, on steam, and incredibly fun. Try out the mechs and get a feel of what kind of stuff is going to happen in the roleplay.

Side note, if anyone knows how to launch MechWarrior 4 on a windows 10 computer, please say so. I think my computer is too good to properly show it. looks like a mess of nothing on mine.

Side side note: 95 kph urbanmech with medium lasers and machine guns. Come at me, scrublords.

Have had mechwarrior online for a good long time now, and I raise your urbie with my x2 mpl w/ac2 "joke" urbie that seems to keep dire wolves hiding behind hills from the minidakka :P

For those who can see this, I am writing it up now. I'll message you all individually with a link to the roleplay. I'm assuming you all are in for the long haul, so I will close the roleplay for now. In advance, Forgive me if I don't list the names of any planets that exist in the Battletech lore. I never knew the names. If you all want to help with that, you're cool. Well... you're cool already, but you'll be cooler, and you'll be my favorite.
