Jason looks around, the geeks surrounding the truck, rocking it back and forth, however, slightly, because it is a pretty large vehicle. "Yeah. Of course they hunt by sound, it's classic. Well. I don't want to go on a spiel about it, but they hunt my smell, but sound will attract them. And us being up here is like dangling a carrot over a rabbit, just out of reach."

Jason walks to the edge of the truck roof, and kneels, looking down at the infected below, surrounding them, looking one directly in the eyes. "I wonder if they can starve..." Jason turns around, back to Abel. "Well, as far as ideas go, I'm stumped. Unless... Here, hold my gun." Jason hands the .32 revolver with one shot in it to Abel. He draws his Fire-axe, and swings at the lock on the roof hatch. No luck. He swings again. Nothing, and a few more times, swinging harder and harder each time. "AGH! This lock is fucking ridiculous!" Jason yells out, kicking the hatch. "Whatever chance we have to survive, could be inside this truck. Riot-armor, guns, ammo. Hell, I'll even take keys to this god-forsaken truck. We just need to get INTO this thing."

“Search that poor dead fucker.” Abel yelled, forced to by the loud symphony of undead groaning. “If we're really lucky he has a key... These riot cops used tear gas during the riots as well. If he's got any canisters on him maybe we can use them to cause some sort of distraction?”

Abel now had a gun in each hand. 14 rounds altogether. That much potential for death literally in the palm of his hands and it still couldn't do him any good. Or could it?

“If our bacon friend here doesn't have that crap on him, maybe we could shoot at those cars down there?" He signaled towards the street he had previously sprinted down with the barrel of the .38 revolver. "One of them has to still have enough juice in for the alarm to work... I'm not the greatest shot though. You?”

Abel laughed at himself inwardly. For all his past criminal actions he'd still never had all that much opportunity to learn to shoot. Then again he supposed most criminals didn't. Sure as shit would have helped if he'd gone to a range once or twice though.

Rachel was in the middle of taking another gulp when she heard a noise:

Footsteps. They were quiet, but audible.

She quietly grabs the pistol at her side and takes it in both hands. She took a deep, silent breath, calming her nerves, pulling up her hoodie slowly. The footsteps didn't sound like the bad guys, but she wasn't sure who it could be...

"H-Hello? Is anyone there?"

A... voice...?

The bad people didn't talk... they couldn't, dad said! However, mom did say not to trust people if they were bad... But this person didn't sound too bad... She sounded... scared.

Wriggling a little in the trash to avoid her leg from cramping up, she points the gun in the direction of the person who spoke. "... Hi..." She says quietly, her voice barely above a whisper.

Sam Thurston

"Keep moving!"

Sam spared a parting glance towards Jason, noticing that he had moved towards the stranger she'd noticed before. Probably, he thought that the stranger needed help or maybe he'd simply seen the horde that was now forming a sea of teeth and ooze between Sam and her base. The bank itself was still secured from the biters, but she wasn't sure she could say the same for the car she'd been standing upon. It was violently rocking beneath her and she fell to her knees, clutching at whatever part of the car she could in order to keep herself above the biters' reach. "Shit!"

Her brows furrowed as she took a moment to survey their situation. The building beside them was a small apartment, with some biters roaming out from inside. A quick look in the roof's direction and she guessed that if they got to it, a jump towards the next building wouldn't be impossible. She glanced at Kyle, wondering to herself if he could make the jump. With the way he ran before, he could probably do it. With a sigh, she stood, maintaining balance as best as she could. Kyle. I'm gonna try to weave through the biters and head inside that apartment." She would have jumped down from the car and headed straight towards the bank, chopping heads and limbs as she went, but even she knew that such a feat would cause in her gruesome and untimely death. Not today, suckers, she thought to herself, smirking at the mindless drones that clamored to grab whatever piece of flesh they could.

She turned back to Kyle, the small frown of worry that were on her lips before now replaced with a grin filled with buzzing excitement. "Can I count on you to watch my back?" She patted his shoulder, but didn't wait for a reply before jumping down onto the asphalt. The moment her boots hit solid ground, she felt a sort of electrifying jolt run down her body. Distantly, she heard some gunshots, but the groaning of the few biters around her. There were around half a dozen or so, as most of the biters had been coming at them from the streets and not the sidewalks. Still, it was enough to get Sam's blood pumping as she weaved through the group (narrowly avoiding one of the biter's scratches) and clearing a path for her and Kyle to head inside the building.

The sudden rustling of the garbage bags made her jump back. She clenched her teeth, waiting for whatever was waiting to show its, hopefully not horrible, face. Her hands were trembling from holding onto the knife tightly as she prepared herself to either fight or sprint from whatever was there. Her mind and heart were racing in fear while another painful pang from her stomach washed over her again. Her body was aching and she felt weak in general and she feared that she'd collapse from the fatigue.

Everything moved in slow motion until she saw the gun raised against her and the peek of a little girl's head over the garbage. The breath she didn't realize she was holding was let out in a sigh of relief. But she knew she couldn't let her guard down just yet. This child was probably scared and from the looks of it just as mentally and physically exhausted as she was. And she would rather not have to deal with a gunshot by a scared child. She began to examine her options. How should she go about this? She looked to be alone, and for all she knew her parents were likely dead or looking for her. Jess didn't really enjoy people, much less children, but she felt she knew how the child was feeling. Alone and scared. No one to be with in a world where it's kill or be killed.

"Put down the gun sweetie." she said in as sweet and gentle of a voice as her tired vocal chords could let out. She placed the knife down as slowly as possible, watching the child intently. "I won't hurt you, I promise. My name's Jessica. What's yours?" her eyes pleaded for the child to listen to her.

*Seth Mason
11:33 AM
Cloudy
-------------------------

"Hey, wait!" Seth starts to run toward Kyle and Sam, who are going into a building that would leave them trapped, and probably die horribly. Sprinting toward them, Seth pulls out his bat and cracks a few walkers along the way. He ran from the grocery store toward them, knowing he needed to help these people. "Hey!" He catches up to them almost, now about 5 yards away from them, separated from them by a car.

"Come with me! This apartment isn't safe!" Seth turns and points his arm at the small grocery store he just came from. "Trust me!" He turns and cracks a walker's skull open with his bat. He was just trying to be helpful to them, hoping that this wouldn't be met with hostility. Seth was really a nice guy, and his leader, a man known as Nick, is an even nicer man. But denying help from him in this time, would be an extremely silly idea. Also noting that it is very cloudy out, could prove as an obstacle for anyone without proper shelter.

Abel O'Connell
Not Ready for Retirement

Abel physically felt a grin spread across his face when Jason was able to blast the lock off. He even laughed when the dude shouted “FUCK LOCKS!”. Comedy and tragedy went hand in hand he supposed. He hoped the tragedy came before the comedy, but thus far it seemed it was yet to begin. He did as he was asked and stayed on top, watching as dozens of Gob's looked up at him, reaching and growling all the while.

“Feral fucking assholes.” He mumbled under his breath, looking into the dead eyes of one of the beasts. Though even the word beast seemed too human for them.

After a minute Jason called up saying he'd found supplies. Not exactly enjoying balancing on the roof Abel climbed down. It took his eyes a second to adjust to the lower light level, and even then he was momentarily shocked by the sight and stink.

“Oh Jesus. I'm going to assume these dudes are dead for real.” He said, spotting what seemed to be a self inflicted wound on one of the guys nearer the back. “What the fuck happened here?”

He didn't really want an answer, it wouldn't help them, and it wasn't something they should even be thinking about. They needed to keep as much morale between the two of them as they possibly could. It was way too easy to give up in a situation that looked as bleak as this one. Spotting something he placed the revolver on the dashboard before going into one of the dead guys holsters and withdrawing a H&K USP. It was a nice looking handgun, not unlike the Glock he already had. He ejected the clip and counted the rounds. There seemed to be six left in it, and they were bigger than the 9mm rounds for his Glock. Probably chambered for .45 calibre. Examining the side of the gun told him he was correct.

“Little more ammo at least... Alright Jason, let's talk strategy. We're definitely not accepting the same retirement package as these guys.”

Abel picked 1 H&K Handgun (7 .45 rounds).

Jason picks up a .45 Semi-Auto Pistol from the hands of Colonel Jarrod Cooper. We know that at least 3 rounds were fired off, so Jason takes a look inside. There were still 12 rounds left in the clip. "This should do for now..." He puts the clip back in, and turns to look around them. "I have an idea, so bear with me here." Jason looks around, and out the windows, and then back to Abel. "Ready for this shit? I'm such a goddamn genius." He says to himself, picking up a corpse from its seat.

He removes the riot armor. There is what appears to be a bullet-proof vest, and some combat pants. They would do. Jason throws the vest on over top of his jacket after zipping it up, and throws the pants on over his as well. "I know it's extremely disturbing to take dead people's clothes, but it's necessary." Jason says, pulling up the pants, and tightening the belt around him. He puts the helmet on, with the plastic face cover down over his face. He picks up a riot shield from the wall of the truck, and hands one to Abel, then another one for himself. "Here's the deal. You get one, I get one. We stay close. Very close. Back to fucking back. And we push through this god-damned horde. But you might think to yourself how we're gonna push through the zombies with two riot shields and some armor. Well. I have an idea." Jason pulls out the hand grenade He picked up when they first walked into the truck.

"Hail Mary." Jason tilts his head in sort of a 'eh, here goes nothing' sort of way. He pulls the pin, and throws it up and at an angle out of the top of the truck, into the empty space of no cars, in the middle of the horde. The grenade explodes, making a loud bang, and destroying a ton of zombies, and luring more zombies toward the bang. "On three! One! Three, GO!" Jason kicks the back door open, and himself and Abel look into the starving faces of over a hundred infected.

Olivia Henley

She locked the door behind her, breathing a sigh of relief now that there was a barrier between her and the Biters. She was safe now, or so she thought...

"What the fuck are you doing here?" demanded a voice from somewhere within the dark room. Olivia was startled, but she turned around to see who had such an unwelcoming tone.

"I'm just trying to find a safe place, I'm sorry," she added. She wasn't really sorry, but she didn't want to make matters worse. Whoever was in the room with her may have a weapon as well, and she wasn't taking any chances. Olivia heard footsteps approaching her, and a few seconds later, the face of a tall man came into view. From his appearance alone, she didn't know whether to feel relief or worry even more

"Hm, I suppose that's fine," he added in a more friendly manner, "My name's Scott, come on back."

Scott motioned for Olivia to follow him, and although she was a bit wary, she followed him to where she assumed the backroom would be. They went through a door and up a set of stairs that was immediately off to the right. It was poorly lit, but given the circumstances, it could have been much worse. They reached the top of the stairs in silence, and Scott guided her into one of the rooms from the hallway. When they entered, Olivia noticed a woman sleeping on an old mattress. Her quick breathing pattern should have been the first warning, but Olivia didn't pick up on it. She turned around to ask Scott who the woman was, and that's when saw him standing in front of the locked door, a mischievous grin plastered on his face.

The footsteps echoed all over the police station as he looked around it for the last time. With the supply bag on his right shoulder, he checked every room for valuable stuff. The chief's office was empty with papers all over the ground and one of the file cabinets was on the ground. Owen looked at it to relieve the memories of his chief and the things that he has done for everyone. The remaining officer didn't know what happened to the chief, but he hoped that he either died peacefully or got away with the military. Soon enough, he left the office and check the other rooms. They were also messy as the place was cleared out by both the military and the group that Owen was part of.

They split up a while ago, saying that they were going up north to someone's cabinet until things calm down. He believed that it would be a long time before the military could come and help out, but he couldn't believe that they would give up so easily. They tried to establish quarantine camps, but that failed as more people became infected. And their efforts around the country had failed, leaving them with only one option. Falling back to the sea and figuring out a new plan. He checked the remaining rooms and nothing new appeared in them, just papers on the floor and other useless crap. The footsteps soon came to an end as he was standing near the front doors.

He looked around the station for the last time as he was reliving the memories and the good times spent at the station. The people that he has met and became good friends with were nowhere to be found and he was all alone. By leaving behind the station, Owen might be able to move on in the new world of hell. But, he might come back to the station if he was bitten to die peacefully rather than a quick bullet to the head. His sigh echoed all over the station for the last time as he opened the doors and walked out.

The outside was almost similar to the inside of the station, quite and messy. However, there were a couple noises of gunshots as he started to walk on the sidewalk. With his bag, he walked for a couple miles as he was thinking of the future. What was he going to do? Where was he going to stay? How was he going to survive? While walking for twenty minutes, he tried to use his radio and see if anyone would pick it up; sadly, nobody did answer his call. After he quit using the radio, he kept on walking until he saw them. The infected. There were a couple dozen of them in front of him as he was thinking out a plan. He couldn't just fire his gun at them or attack them with his baton without getting bitten.

He ran as fast as he could and looked at some of the buildings as he was running. Owen didn't have to time to pick and raced towards one of the doors. He opened it and quickly closed it before anyone could get in. He sighed in relief as he was safe inside and away from them. Suddenly, he heard footsteps and turned to find a man walking down the stairs. "Great. What the fuck is you doing here..." the man said with an unwelcome tone before stopping as he saw the uniform. He couldn't say any more words as he realized that an officer was in the building with him, but he finished his sentence in a more welcoming tone with "...officer?"

Owen stool there as he was reaching for his weapon until the man walked forward. "Good thing you're here officer." the man said as he pointed towards the stairs, looking like he was thankful that Owen came here. "My children need help. I have been so worried that I wanted to go outside, but then you came among!" Owen was still investigating the guy, but he went up the stairs as he was talking about his family and how they have been surviving for thirty days. They soon got to the second floor and looked at the hallway as the man walked towards the door, unlocked it, and opened it. "In here, officer!" he shouted as he looked startled for some unknown reason.

He quickly entered the room and dropped his bag by the doorway as he saw only two ladies and no children. He had been played. Owen quickly turned towards the guy, but he was ready for him as he nearly stabbed Owen in the head with a knife. Thankfully, he dodged it before it was too late and Owen had to fight back. He reached for his baton and he used it as his weapon, fighting back against him for a bit and he even managed to get him to drop the knife before he was tackled to the wooden ground. His baton flew towards one of the ladies' legs as the guy started to strangle Owen.

Owen tried to fight back, but he was pinned to the ground as the man was choking him harder. Because he was unable to fight back, he turned towards the ladies and tried to say something. He managed to say a couple words as he was being choked by the man:

"Help me."

Olivia Henley

She lay on a dirty mattress in the partly empty room aimlessly staring at one of the plain walls. Even though she had a blank expression on her face, lips pursed shut and eyes that were slightly widened, Olivia's mind was quite active at the moment. Half of her arm hung limp off of the side of the mattress, fresh needle marks around the crease of her elbow--as well as a bandana tightly secured just above the area--gave away the fact that she had recently abused drugs, or was forced to do so anyway.

Olivia took notice when a police officer walked in the room followed closely by Scott. Her first reaction was to panic. Was the cop there to arrest her? Scott must have called him...that prick! Olivia made an attempt to get up. Although she eventually managed to get on her feet, she felt extremely sluggish. That's when she noticed that a baton had been pushed across the room over to her. As she bent down to pick it up, she nearly lost her balance, but she managed to get a hold of it and stand up against without incident. When she finally noticed Scott on top of the officer, both in a serious struggle, Olivia thought nothing of it. It took her a few moments of staring at the men fighting before it finally clicked. With whatever strength she had left in her, not that there was much to begin with, Olivia made her way to them. She proceeded to stand directly behind Scott, grabbing the night stick as if it were a baseball bat, and took a deep breath in. When she was ready, she swung the baton as hard as she could.

Olivia picked up on the sickening crack and heavy thud right away. It's as if a freight train had hit her, and when everything else but the bloodied mess at her feet became a blur, she fought the urge to throw up. She leaned back against the wall and dropped to the floor a little too hard which might have hurt had she otherwise not been given drugs. Instead, she closed her eyes as the urge to sleep became too strong to try to fight it.

"I hope you're okay," she managed to say, slurring her words as she wasn't really expecting an answer from the officer. Her consciousness was going in and out at this point, but she also managed to point to Megan, the woman who hadn't moved a muscle since their arrival, and announce the fact that she was dead.

((THIS IS MY ATTEMPT TO RE-INTRODUCE A "STORY CHARACTER"))

Seth Mason *

11:30 AM
------------------------------

Seth Mason had been in a Grocery store called "CHRIS' FINE FOODS" for the past few weeks, after his group went out on an expedition from their base. Seth was the only survivor of his half of the group, and has been unable to make radio contact with the group he was with before. When gunshots fired off in the streets, Seth had to take a look out the door. First, he saw one person, split from his friends, running across the rooftops of cars. This guy had to be some sort of crazy, Seth thought at first, until he realized that this car jumper was going back for someone else. Someone in a leather jacket. It was vague looking from behind makeshift barricades in a grocery store, but it was clear that they had both survived the horde temporarily, and ended up on the rooftop of a SWAT TRUCK in the middle of the 4-way, busy-before-the-apocalypse intersection.

Seth knew that he should go out and help these two, but he had no way to get to them, especially now that they were surrounded completely. His first idea was to get onto the rooftop. Yeah that's a good idea. Go to the roof, and get a better view of the two people about to die. Seth went to the back of the store, where he knew he could get to the roof, and climbed the ladder, and kicked the hatch open, onto the roof of CHRIS' FINE FOODS Seth, carrying his Aluminum Baseball Bat and his glock, ran to the front of the roof, hiding behind the sign, and watching out into the street. The Walkers were everywhere. He couldn't see the car-hopper's friends anywhere. (Kyle and Sam) Seth could see the two on the roof of the truck, and he tried to call to them "Hey! Hey! Up here!" But there was no use trying. He pulled out his hand-held radio from his back pocket. "Hello, hello. Does anybody near have a radio? Anyone? Hello? This is Seth Mason. If either of you on the truck can hear me, head toward CHRIS' FINE FOODS." Seth says into his radio, almost positive that nobody had heard it.

Seth puts a hand on his head, looking to the streets below him, a few staggering walkers coming toward the front doors of the grocery store. They wouldn't be too much of a problem. There are many shelves blocking the front doors from opening. Too much for a few walkers to push away. Once more, he pulls out the radio from his pocket. "Again, this is Seth Mason. If anyone hears this, please respond. I am in the Grocery Store CHRIS' FINE FOODS."

Owen tried his hardest to fight back against the man, but he was pinned to the ground and slowly losing consciousness. His life didn't flash back at him as it would of happened to others. Then all of a sudden, he heard a sicking crack and felt no pressure to his neck. He started to breath once again and he was thankful that he could breath again. And he saw the guy on the floor, with his head bleeding out of control. The baton was right next to the guy as it was covered in blood. He was dead. After seeing the dead guy, he felt sick for a moment as if he was going to throw up. But, he got over it as he saw the women leaning against the wall.

He heard the girl say something about being alright and that someone else was dead. Owen saw his supply bag and walked towards it as he was thinking of leaving her behind. But, he walked towards the window with his bag to check the simulation outside. There were still too many infected people to fight and she wasn't doing well enough to move. So, he decided to stay for now and help the woman out as he walked towards her. He put the bag next to her and pointed to it as he said, "There's bottled water and chips in there. Please don't eat too much."

Owen then went towards the dead woman and check on her. He crouched down to get a better look and saw the dried blood next to her. It seemed like she had been there for almost a day and she wasn't going to turn, because of the knife wound on the head. Despite her being dead, her eyes were still wide open as if she was surprised before her death. Maybe she was the first victim of the now dead guy. After closing her eyes, he went towards the woman to see if she's fine as she kept closing and opening her eyes. Owen went towards the bag and grabbed a bottled water. Then, he sat down on the ground next to her as he started to drink the water.

Owen was the first one to talk since the attack ended as he said in a harsh tone, "Thanks for saving my life. My name is Owen, a police officer before this shit happened."

Olivia looked at the officer as he pointed to his bag which he had placed by his feet. She was able to register his words, but the minor restriction on water and food didn't stick. She rummaged through his bag feeling a bit anxious, maybe due to the fact that she was just then realizing how hungry she was, her inability to recall the last time she ate only adding to the problem.

"Here it is..." she whispered to herself after her hand brushed against the bottle of water as she pulled it out of the bag. For a moment, Olivia struggled with the cap, and her only reaction was to curse under her breath. When she finally got it opened, she nearly chugged down the entire bottle.

"An officer, huh? Yeah, I--I've dealt with you guys numerous times throughout my childhood. My name's Olivia, by the way..." she stared at Owen, her mind struggling to figure out why she should already know him. It wasn't easy, not when whatever psychotropic drug was in her system was having its fun with her. Her mind went back through her recent past, then it skimmed through her teenage years, until suddenly... "Holy shit, Officer Owen!" She remembered him now. About 8 years ago, when she was only 15, he was one of the officers who practically dragged her out and away from her foster home. She didn't blame him back then, and she certainly didn't blame him now, but things would have turned out much more nicer for Olivia if someone would have just listened to her side of the story. "Ah, you probably don't remember me," she added, giving him a playful punch on the arm. For some reason, this made her have a laughing fit, right to the point where she was in tears. Olivia had to stand up and take a few deep breaths to try to regain her composure. "Yeah, sorry. I don't know what's wrong with me. Well, I do know, but..." she decided to just stay quiet at that point, sitting back down next to Owen and much to her surprise, and definitely his, she leaned her head against against his shoulder.

"Owen, please don't let the Biters kill me--or us, for that matter."

(Sorry for being so fekkin late DX My bad!)

Rachel didn't know how to use a gun, really.

She knew that if you point it at people and make them think you know how to use one, they get scared. This works well on bad people (not "bad guys", but bad people) who try to hurt you, Rachel knew. Of course, she knew how to pull the trigger, and even reload! However actually handling a gun was another thing entirely. She didn't really know how to aim, check or fix jams, turn the safety on and off or even take a stable firing position.

She really would be screwed if she didn't get help, not that she knew this.

"I-it's OK... You look nice, s-so I won't hurt you..." She says in the softest, calmest voice she could muster - something she found incredibly difficult due to her lack of experience with high tension situations. She knew how to be a good person, though. That much was obvious. "My name is... R-Rachel. Are you exploring...?" She asks in a quiet voice.

She still hasn't lowered the gun.
It almost looks like she's cowering, though it's hard to really tell how she's feeling.

Though Jessica's wild guess got one thing right: Rachel was scared.

The stranger's eyes plead with Rachel to be nice, however Rachel was told many times not to be nice until you know the other person is nice. Listen to their voice. Hear how they talk. Compare it to mama and favva's. Does it sound similar? Not in terms of sound, but the way they speak; does it sound kind?

Well... Rachel would only know if she listened to Jessica some more.

Sam Thurston

Unlike what some people thought, Sam wasn't completely stupid. Sure, she often rushed into things blindly and said things without putting much thought in the consequences of her words, but that didn't mean she was unable to see the error in some of the things she did. There were times when she could acknowledge that her decisions may not have been for the best.

This was one of those times.

She'd barely gotten inside the apartment building when she heard the humming of the biters' growls grow louder. "Shit," she harshly whispered the expletive at the sight of biters bumbling down the stairs. There were far too many biters inside the building and no matter how nimble she may be, there was no way she would be able to survive if she attempted to continue her current line of thought. She began to walk backwards, back out to the road until her back hit the car they'd been previously standing atop. She eyed Kyle and gripped her axe tighter. Sorry, bud," she said, releasing a long sigh as she let her head rest on the window of the car. "This wasn't such a good idea. You can go if- Huh?" She paused, her eyes having caught something in the nearby buildings. "Oh shit," she gasped out when a biter got too close while her attention was elsewhere and she dealt with it before climbing back up the car.

Now that she was atop the car, she could clearly see. The building was something called 'Chris' Fine Foods' and there was someone atop the building's roof that was seemingly calling out to Jay and his new friend in vain. Sam couldn't hear him over the biters but she knew she hadn't made a mistake when she thought she saw someone. Taking a chance, she waved her hands in the air, hoping to draw the man's attention in hopes of getting help.

------------------

Seth puts away his hand-held radio, after repeatedly asking if anyone could hear him. All of a sudden, he hears a swing of an axe, a falling biter, and a girl with an axe, climbing atop a car. Seth looks out at her, squinting his eyes a little bit. He waves to her to acknowledge her existence, and turns around, running for the hatch back into the grocery store. He trips on a pipe, landing on the gravel rooftop, and yells out a bit in pain, the gravel being a huge pain on the injuries on his arms underneath the bandages from his accident at the beginning of the outbreak. He quickly gets back to his feet.

Seth opens the hatch into the grocery store, and climbs down the ladder, running through the grocery store as fast as he could, pulling out his M1911 Handgun and running to the front window, looking out. "Less than 20 yards from the door. If I open the doors now, I can get her in here quick, fire minimal rounds, and still have time to close and block the do-- FUCK!" He starts moving shelves out of the way. "There I go fucking telling myself what I'm gonna do again." He says to himself, quickly moving the shelves away, throwing them to the side. He pries the front door open halfway, and goes outside. "Hey! You! Here, quickly!" Seth calls out to her, aiming his gun toward biters, hoping they won't come too close to the doors.

Seth looks into the cars, and sees another person, who seemed to be trying to get to Sam on top of the cars. He would like to save the friend of hers, but it seemed highly unlikely to get to him in this horde. Shame.
