Hello everyone,
Just trying to see if there's any interest in a loose plot idea I have for a 1x1.
A few things first:
Still here? Awesome!
The elegance and finery of eras past exudes from the Victorian home, ivy slowly climbing the white columns of the patio. Paint chipped and worn on the outside, and faded, torn wallpaper within adorn the home. Some original furniture remains, despite the many people that had come and gone in the decades since the house's construction.
There are whispers within the community as a sold sign is set on the front lawn. Wagers are made, the old-timers betting on how long the new occupants would stay. One month, two, perhaps? One family stayed in the house a whole two years, until they tried to renovate one of the bedrooms. They left the same night, white as freshly-washed sheets.
They say a witch disguised as a beautiful women entranced a wealthy banker, who built her the extravagant home where she danced with the devil by candlelight. Rumor has it that one night, the Devil gave her a child with evil blood coursing through his veins.
The boy grew up fast, privileged with whatever he so desired. Handsome and charming, it was rare he did not have a young woman on his arm; and even rarer for him not to defend his family's honor when he overhears the whispered words of gossipers.
They say that the in the night, the witch was slain by her husband when he discovered the darkness that she had brought into their home. The boy with the Devil's blood arrived home in a drunken stupor during the witching hour to find his mother and father dead.
But only one living man would shoulder the blame for his family's sins...
...Still here?
If any of the above sounds interesting, let me know by posting here or sending me a message!
P.S: Hopefully that all made sense, since it was written at almost one in the morning.
Just trying to see if there's any interest in a loose plot idea I have for a 1x1.
A few things first:
- It will be high casual to low advanced.
- It MUST be MxM.
- The characters must be believable (a.k.a: no instant romance/action/friendship).
- My partner must be willing to help plot and constantly be thinking up new ideas and plot twists.
- Post responses regularly: once or twice a week.
- I am open to smut if the plot calls for it.
- I am 17, as a full disclaimer, so if you are uncomfortable roleplaying with a younger individual, there's that. (I will be 18 in early October.)
Still here? Awesome!
In every town there's that house...

The locals avoid it...

There are stories, some even older than the home itself...
They say a witch disguised as a beautiful women entranced a wealthy banker, who built her the extravagant home where she danced with the devil by candlelight. Rumor has it that one night, the Devil gave her a child with evil blood coursing through his veins.

But the devil always collects his dues...
They say that the in the night, the witch was slain by her husband when he discovered the darkness that she had brought into their home. The boy with the Devil's blood arrived home in a drunken stupor during the witching hour to find his mother and father dead.
But only one living man would shoulder the blame for his family's sins...
The town folk swore when they hung the young man that his eyes were dark as pitch.
They say within that home, the black-eyed man still roams the empty halls...
Watching in the darkness...
He waits...
Watching in the darkness...
He waits...
...Still here?
Name:
Clarence Jasper Marceullus
Even when he was alive, Clarence preferred to go by Jasper. He always found his first name rather stiff and overtly-formal.
Age:
When he died on August 27, 1856, Jasper was just a few days shy of turning nineteen on the 30th of August.
Technically speaking, if you count the number of years he's been a spirit, he's around a hundred and seventy-six.
This can be adjusted as per partner's preference.
Gender:
Male
Sexuality:
Seeing as he was raised in Victorian America, Jasper's sexuality is a sin. He surrounds himself with women to assuage the suspicions of men who feel his gaze linger just a little too long. All the girls call Jasper a tease, unaware that they're just an improvised safety net.
Description:
Jasper is what many would call handsome, in a classical way. He stands around 6'1", lean and fit. Though raised by a banker, Jasper spent much of his time working with his hands, he rather enjoyed carpentry projects and the like, much to his family's disdain. Another joy of his was taking care of the four horses which resided within the stable on the family's property. Though also well-versed in the arts and business, Jasper does not have soft hands by any means. His features are chiseled, though perhaps slightly angular. His hair is a fashionable length, the inky black, wavy locks just brushing his shoulders. Brilliantly blue eyes that could make most women swoon are undoubtedly one of his best features; he never did quite understand where the black eyes of the old story came from. Though he long ago realized he could change clothing with a mere thought, he tends to wear what is familiar to him: a well-tailored black suit with a white undershirt beneath. Occasionally, when he gets upset or angry, he reverts back to the state he was in when he died: the same suit, spattered with blood from when the town people butchered him after he was hung, his neck deeply bruised from the rope noose.
Personality:
Jasper was always somewhat quiet and brooding. He did not much care for people in general, a trait which he inherited from his mother. Though reclusive, he is fiercely loyal to any who gain his respect and trust; when he is wronged by those closest to him, he can rarely forgive, and will never forget. Yes, holding grudges was an issue for Jasper, even in life. Despite all of this, he was hardly without acquaintances, and knew everyone, though he was friend to none; partially because of his sharp tongue and poor temper. Nevertheless, Jasper was somewhat of a flirt with women (he had no clue how to approach the sex that actually interested him), as those who did not love his family's wealth loved his attractive exterior, even if his heart was a little cold.
History:
Though never told outright, Jasper, and everyone else for that matter, knew that James Marceullus was not his father. Many were surprised with how well James treated the young child, even more so when he declared that Jasper would inherit his string of businesses and estate. Indeed, James treated Jasper like his own, they were undoubtedly father and son, though not by blood. The only animosity between father and son was the fact that Jasper had no interest in business whatsoever. In fact, he seemed to have little interest in anything. Despite the expensive schooling his parents paid for, Jasper seemed more content to live a life of common work. He enjoyed taking care of the family's horses, and did seem to have a natural way with the beasts. James and Jasper would often fight about Jasper's lack of ambition, especially as Jasper got older and would spend his evenings at the pub, drinking himself into delirium.
His mother, Marian, doted on him, and Jasper had little discipline from either parent throughout his life. James never dared raise a hand against Jasper, nor severely punish him as he had threatened many times, due to Marian's interventions.
The older Jasper got, the more rebellious and wilder he became. He would spend weeks away from home, before staggering back, in dire need of money to settle gambling debts. Many believed that Jasper killed his parents after they threatened to disown him. In reality, Jasper was much more upset about their disapproval about the person he was courting. Matthew was from a poor family, and dreamed of becoming a watchmaker, but instead spends his day toiling in the mines. His family wanted him to pursue priesthood, but Matthew, told them that he and God were not on speaking terms. Despite their best efforts of hiding their romance, James Marceullus had eyes and ears everywhere. Obviously, Jasper's parents deemed this highly inappropriate, and forbade Jasper to see Matthew, threatening to have him institutionalized, if not exorcised.
After his hanging, Jasper woke up to find himself within the massive, empty house he once called home. His worst traits came to a forefront as a spirit, especially when he found that he was confined to the property. Slowly, everything around him began to change. The house gathered dust and mold, his old belongings were removed. The years have made him aggressive and temperamental.
Likes/Enjoys:
Jasper finds little joy in anything as a spirit. He does usually enjoy scaring the occupants of the house away, however.
Dislikes:
Well, to summarize, Jasper dislikes people in general, especially those that try to move or change the house in any way. The world has changed so much; Jasper finds great comfort in the familiarity of the home.
Other:
Jasper has always wondered what happened to Matthew, and what truly happened on the night of his parents' deaths.
