Okay, so before we start this off, we should probably figure out how the two characters meet, and where we want the story to go.

(The poor server today - in and out, in and out.)

Well, they're established trainers, right? Maybe the Pokémon professor (which one will be reliant on where we do Hoenn or Kanto) is doing a speech at some event (or is the event?) that's related to Pokémon breeding or something of that nature and they meet there? It could be something they come across while they're adventuring - they both just happen to be in town when the Pokémon professor is there, and it happens to be relative to your trainer's goals and my trainer, who looks up to Pokémon professors, just eager to learn anything from the professor.

Right now, thanks to Alpha Sapphire, I'm more familiar with Hoenn, so I'd prefer to use that region.

(Right? I'm kind of curious what ends up being the problem at this point.)

I like that idea, the two could happen to be attending the same event. The professor could be talking about Pokemon breeding, possibly more specifically the different egg types and how two pokemon not in the same breed could still create an offspring.

We can go with Hoenn, though any changes made in Alpha Sapphire are at a loss to me at the moment. I've had the joy of having to pay for my own tuition for the past year, so there's been less video game funding my way. But, I have played Sapphire (3 times, I believe), so I know the original Hoenn region fairly well.

I haven't been able to get on at all, since every time I visit the site it gives me an error. Hopefully it's solved for now!

Ooh yes, that would be an interesting subject! Talking about egg types vs Pokémon types and how it affects breeding Pokémon! We'd just need to pick a city for it to happen in. Maybe one near Pokémon breeders? Then it's relevant to the area they're in.

Not much changed I can recall? Mostly it was just the addition of Mega Evolution and then Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. So we should be fine on that front - other than that I think the region and the storyline was the same. Would we want to put this after the events between Team Magma and Team Aqua? Or would we want to incorporate that for conflict in the roleplay?

@Wisp I'm very sorry for the long wait. I had a bunch of real life stuff get in the way.

We could probably set it up on Mauville City? That'd be close to the day care on route 117.

I'm thinking that we go with maybe a different scheme that would involve our characters a little more, because if I remember correctly the big plan of Team Aqua was to submerge everything in water. We could do something like the classic scheme where the team captures pokemon to sell, or maybe they want to make the most powerful version of each pokemon to rule over everything? We could also just not deal with Team Magma or Team Aqua, since I do like the idea of this being more slice of life.

I totally understand! I caught the stomach flu, so I haven't been on in a little over a week. No worries!

Mauville City would be perfect - it's considered a central hub for travelers, which makes it a good place for the professor to hold an audience.

We could place this after Team Aqua and Team Magma; in the wake of their collapse, there could be small groups trying to rise, but ultimately no major conflict from them. Just something that might cause trouble on the road or in towns, whether directly or indirectly, but leaving the primary focus on slice-of-life. Not really any "Team [Blank]" or anything, just criminals that could be stealing Pokémon, and/or research data. Relevant to what our trainers will be doing, but not taking center stage.

I like having the roleplay largely slice-of-life focused, though. Personally, I just like to see a little conflict from outside sources, but like I said - it wouldn't be the focus, just a few things here and there that they experience or hear about.
