Welcome to The Academy

You have been formally invited to attend Academia Mythica, for the gifted and talented. Here you will socialise with others who are... different.
Learning is self-projected. There are no scheduled classes, no teachers, and the only rules are around not eating one another.

The Academy is a place for supernatural/mythical creatures to spend time with others, who know what it's like to live in a human-dominated world. With vampires, dragons, mermaids and more, the school couldn't have a better diversity program.

RP Rules:
1. All characters must have a human, or human-like, form.
2. All characters must be either a mythical or supernatural creature i.e. dragon, vampire, spirit, fairy, mermaid etc. etc.
3. No god-modding. I know it's difficult with mythical creatures, but no all-powerful beings, no gods etc.
4. Do NOT control other people's characters unless given explicit permission to do so, and even then, be wary.
5. No killing off characters, unless it's your own character and you DESPERATELY want to get them out of the RP (still, I would prefer them to leave for whatever reason).
6. The GMs word is final in disputes. Once a decision is made, that's it.
7. PLEASE POST ALL CHARACTER SHEETS HERE UNTIL APPROVED, THEN MOVE THEM INTO THE CHARACTERS SECTION.

Name: Alicia Fullen
Age: Around 100, looks about 20.
Species: Siren.

Background: She grew up on the high seas with several siblings, all of whom were much more proficient with their powers to lure sailors into the jagged rocks which surrounded their home. They were loving towards Alicia, trying their best to coach her to be able to use her powers to her full potential but no matter how hard they tried - her voice just couldn't carry over the crashing waves, to the sailors who were sailing past. Due to this, she agreed with her sisters and mother that it would be best that she leave to find a place where she could hone her powers and be able to rejoin her family.
Any other information: Due to her nature as a Siren, Alicia has an innate hatred towards men although she tries her best not to show it due to the school rules.

Name: Jayden Jones
Age: Unknown, looks to be early-20s
Species: Dryder/Drider.

Human Appearance: Look above! Although he will be wearing clothes.
Background: Crash landing in a harsh environment on a place only known as "The Island" as a human, where fruits could change you into odd things, Jayden had the unfortunate luck to stumble upon a very vindictive Venus Flytrap woman (known as Venus) who decided that it would be amusing to shove the poor, confused male onto one of the many cacti - whereupon his shape, and even species, was permanently changed. Luckily after this change happened, Jayden managed to escape from the clutches of his captor and find a small group of other... inhabitants of the Island and settle in well despite all that had happened. It was only many, many years later that he found himself leaving behind his dear friends and rejoining the "real world" in the Academy, where he's continued living for three or so years.
Any other information: He's a bit of a playboy, for all genders.

Name: Mar Klets

Age: Approximately 100 years old chronologically, appears to be mid-late teens

Species: Ghost

Appearance: Here. Can appear more solid or transparent at will.

Background: Mar was born in the early 20th century in Western Europe, but doesn't remember much of his time spent alive after so many years. His cause of death is also a mystery, but not one that haunts him to any extent. After his death, he lived in an abandoned barn much older than himself, that was overgrown with wild mint and housed small wild animals. He tended to the animals and protected them as best he could until the barn was torn down. With his home gone, he moved around more and started exploring, becoming slightly infatuated with humans as he observed and interacted with a few of them.

Any other information:
Mar is nonbinary and doesn't care much for gender labels, but he'll respond to anything if he knows that he's being addressed.
He's very softspoken and curious, but also forgetful and easily confused.
