'It is ahead of its time. The fps is beyond anything of the past and the graphics are in a class of its own. It has revolutionized the way people game, and it will revolutionize the gaming industry.' -Senji Yoshimaru, Lead game designer and creator of Elysium, 2054
Elysium, the virtual reality game of the century and a game that will go down in infamy. Why you may ask? It took the media by storm and decimated the known gaming powerhouses. It gathered gamers of all platforms and united them under one game. A game that offered everything from RPG and Sci-fi to first person shooter and horror. There were over 50,000 beta testers working out the kinks in its three worlds; Genesis, Exodus and Elysium. It took decades before they announced its release and it soared off of the shelves just as quick as it was put on the shelves. However, a year into its release a group simply known as R3v314t1on, had hijacked the servers and massacred hundreds of thousands of players in Genesis' city, Killion, now know to all players as the Killion Genocide. Many tried to escape the game but sadly to no avail. Panic set across the multiplayer platform and plunged the game and its players into chaos. Areas that were considered safe from the changing PvP world were no longer and groups started to form, banning together for survival, others for greed and power. The game's developers had attempted to shutdown the game and eject everyone from it but the plan failed. "You lose. Servers taken. Pray for mercy: R3v314t1on" was the email sent to the creator and developers. The know dubbed terrorist group had taken those on the game hostage. Attempt after attempt of retrieving control of the servers failed and with each attempt tens of thousands were killed due to their persistence. A final idea was proposed from a hacker/beta tester of the game and the governments of the world gathered together and formed a special digital anti-terrorist group known as the Project: Savior. Made up of people of all ages, they were to be sent in to find this group with the help of former beta testers and hackers sanctioned by the government. In addition to the formed group, the creators of Elysium removed the level cap for the sanctioned players, allowing them to ascend to new heights in order to combat this evil group. The leader's true identity of R3v3l4t1on, "Glitch" is a mystery, hiding in secrecy with the help of its other members, possibly in Elysium. Will this group be the ones to save those trapped, or will they fall victim to the plans of Glitch and R3v314t1on?
Genesis, Sanctuary: Killion
Genesis was made to be a wasteland platform, allowing for old style RPGs that was similar to the Fallout saga, Rage and others like it. It offered decimated and abandoned cities like New York, San Francisco, London, and St. Petersburg to roam and monsters of all kinds to fight with missions to match. There were sanctuaries, floating oasis-like cities that were meant to get away from the wasteland, the most famous, or infamous being Sanctuary: Killion, or Killion for short. Full of life and activities, they all soon fell to chaos after the Killion Genocide. Currently, Killion is under the control of "Mayhem", one of the founding members of R3v314ton and holds an iron grip over Sanctuary: Killion and many others. Other Sanctuaries like Pyre and Heaven's Gate, remain in control of the players by the means of strong defenses and beta testers that reside there.
Exodus
Exodus was the setting for games that took on a more futuristic aspect. Its skyscrapers and its quick transports, the multitude of gaming options had established it as a beginners dream as it held more options then Genesis did. Its biggest metropolis, Eon Evangel, EE, was designed for those of higher levels and those who had the currency to afford it. When it heard of the Genocide of Killion, it did nothing but continue on with its daily life. It was said that many higher members of R3v314t1on reside here, maintaining control of it as a digital syndicate. Despite its beauty it has gained the reputation as a place one must watch who they trust. Talk of rebellions were met with immediate termination of their account. Permanente death. Those who control EE are known simply as the Black Rose Syndicate, a group of elite players which include beta testers and is rumored to have a hacker.
Elysium
Elysium, the pinnacle of an Elysium's player's dream. Many items here are of high quality and power and all are mostly free. Every possible game genre is able to be played here. However, only the toughest of players are capable of entering as they must meet certain requirements, mostly envolving level and capabilities. Constent gladiator like tournaments are held for the players in this world. Those who hold it however, is the group itself, R3v314t1on. Promises of freedom from the game are made but never fulfilled. It is for their amusment and pleasure that they hold these tournaments. They even have allowed players to challenge the rulers of this world. Those who fight in this tournament, known as champions, stay in the cresent building known as The Arch. The Arch holds the best of the best, the most powerful players stay until they potentially meet their demise in the what has become known as Ragnarok. It is here that rumor has it the leader resides and it is here, that Project: Savior must make it.
Classes
Goliaths, the tanks of Elysium. They are known for their crowd control, dealing with their heavy defenses and deafening blows. Most groups have at least one or so when conducting missions, drawing in the enemy and holding the line. They have certain abilities that allow for longer duration on the battlefield but for the most part it deals with their defensive endurance. One move they have, Roar of the Heavens, is considered their ultimate attack. Its initial strike takes a large portion of the enemy's health followed by an area of effect blast that comes in a set of three, effectively chipping away at surrounding enemies. Another, The Wall of Jericho, allows the player to form into a larger version of themselves. Though this form doesn't allow for use of weapons, it does however, absorb the damage dealt and can immediately dish it back out via Overcharge (Wherein the user's armor heats up to high temperatures before releasing it in an explosive manner out its various vents) or stacked with The Roar of the Heavens. The downside to the Goliath class is that overall their attacks are slower than the Battleborne class, making evasion of their attacks more likely. Guardian class is most effective against with Warlock coming in shortly behind. This is thanks to their armor and ability penetration power, hence why many Goliaths tend to also use a shield to take the brunt of the damage.
Goliath Players have learned over time how to modify and redistribute stats in order to better enhance the capabilities in combat, allowing for quicker movement or resistance to long ranged attacks or even
Pros: - Heavy Defenses - Powerful Attacks - High Damage - Strength, Endurance, Health
Cons: - Overall slow in combat - Vulnerable to Armor/Ability penetration - Long range attacks - Movement Speed, Agility, dexterity
Specialize in: - Heavy Weapons - Shields - Heavy Armor
Abilities based on: - Damage - Armor - Health
Battlebornes are your warrior class of Elysium. Quicker on both their feet and in combat, many choose to follow the way of the Battleborne since it is their more versatile class. Mostly a close to mid range fighter, their abilities are based on their tactical prowess, allowing for personal sentries, enhanced combat reflexes and stamina. They can also call in special 3rd party attacks to help surpress enemy attacks. Hammer of Dawn and Rain of Hell are to abilities meant for this as they deal heavy damage on multiple targets and/or buildings in its proximity, causing deafness and blindness. Their armor is of medium build which allows for more mobility however they are still open to the vulnerabilities that the Goliath are such as guardian and Warlock attacks but not at such a degree. They are also able to use explosives such as claymores, bouncing betties and grenades. With what this class is capable of it is not surprising why many in this class become leaders in groups. The Battleborne work off of adrenaline. The more adrenaline they gain the better the accuracy and damage boost. Once capped, they gain a quick use ability known as "2nd Wind" in which the players speed (both movement and reload time) increase and accuracy and damage increase as well.
Cons: - Weak to Armor Penetration and Ability Penetration. - movement Speed, agility, dexterity - Damage boosts based on combat endurance
Specialize in: - Light/Medium armor - Close/Mid range weaponry (Sniper Rifles are unusable) - Light/Heavy weaponry - Explosives
Abilities based on: - Adrenaline - Combat duration - Killstreaks
It is what you hear but cannot see that frightens even those most veteran soldiers and in this case, players. The Guardian, also known as the Overwatch class is the guardian angel to some and the silent demon to others. Many people try to get at least one of these players on their team since they have the best sight in the business. Based on stealth, speed and precision, these silent death dealers are know to dish out pain with a single attack before moving onto their next opponent. They use various nooks and crannies to hide themselves while at the same time, relaying the information to their comrades about the surrounding area. Those who choose this class must understand that movement is key and when a shot is missed, they must reluctantly move or face the wrath of another Guardian or worse. Their one special attack, OSOK, erases them from the map completely and allows for their shot to remain silent as well. The downside is that they are only given a few seconds afterwards before the shot and location are given away. Their armor is light which gives them quick movement in the field and their cloak which mirrors the surrounding area, rendering them partially invisible. Only players with high awareness or sight may notice them such as other Guardians, Warlocks or Battlebornes.
Abilities based on: - Precision - Distance - Camouflage - Penetration
The Warlock, the bane of many players' existences. gifted in the arts of Elysium's natural energy, they can use and manipulate it to their advantage for both offensive and defensive moves. As a mid to long range fighter, he is a necessity to the group, providing defensive moves from a distance that can be quickly converted into offensive attacks. Their attacks can range from the manipulation of elements and light to creating shockwaves and teleportation, though limited. Their downsides are similar to the Overwatch. Light armor and low health, they make up for this through their range of abilities.
Pros: - Speed, Agility, Ability power - High Ability penetration. - Versatile
Cons: - Weak to Close range - Low health
Specialize in: - Area of effect - Defensive abilities - Offensive Abilities
Abilities based on: - Area of Effect - Ability power - Ability penetration
The core of the group, Caretakers keep the team alive by providing healing abilities and lifesaving techniques. Usually in the middle of the group, these players are responsible with maintaining the health of the Goliath, Warlock and Battleborne and keeping watch of the vitals of the Overwatch. Their attacks are similar to the Battleborne's in the sense of suppressive fire and area of effect, allowing them to move in when necessary. Though they are not capable of direct combat, should it come down to hand to hand or close range, they do have poisons and paralysis equipment to either neutralize or slow down the enemy so they can escape. The Caretaker is also able to him themselves as one ability allows them to attack the enemy and chip away at their health while refilling their own.
Pros: - Essential team role - Protected by other classes - Area of effect abilities - Poisons - Speed, agility
Cons: - One of the main targeted classes - Weak close and long range - Low health
Specialize in: - Area of effect - Healing - Poisons
Abilities based on: - Healing - Poisons - Area of effect.

If you have any questions just lemme know
